I think they might actually. The final report card issued by CXX's studio (and the production team's) did include international data and specifically MDL. So if you guys are reading this...we love you!

I really liked ZLH in the role, he was genuinely likeable...I wish they had done more for them. The mortal arc is exactly why I warmed up to Danyin x CH. I feel like Jieli is what Yetan would have been if the writing hadn't been so good for TSL.

Yep...so important that during the finale party, they had the douban score up on the wall and iirc the cake itself had the 7.4 on the icing as well. It's a pretty good score for a xianxia. For TSL it's great that is has a great score on both MDL and Douban.

That person is amazing, so I never let the bad crap get to me when I'm fangirling for him...having said that, you're correct that the GMP crowd especially has this...let's say, strange fixation with both LCY and XF to the point where the majority of the fanbase has pushed them out into their own corner. I agree with you re: wanting these two dramas to be succesful. Seems like it did the trick for him. Now it's TSL first and foremost that he's associated with. Not so sure how it's going for her. This latest incident is a pity because it kinda diverts attention back to the exact topic she's trying to get away from. I hope it blows over. I don't dislike her at all...I wish her much success.

omg I agree so much. I honestly was bored to death by the second and third couples. Like, I think they wasted so much time with the character of Jieli, in particular and found her to be so grating. I would have preferred to see more development between Changheng and Danyin than these other people. Which brings me to how misused the character of Changheng was. he was mostly used as a plot device to advance the main couple, but as part of the love triangle, he was a very weak romantic contender and a one-note character. He had a ton of wasted potential. And the love story between Rong Hao and his Shifu...ugh...I watched all of it at like 2x playback speed haha. I just couldn't care less tbh.

Are you, me? Thatt's the exact order in which I watched LBFAD and TSL and the exact same rating. I totally get why LBFAD got the hype it did, but it was for sure flawed in some of the departments I personally tend to focus a lot on: pacing, chemistry, characterization.

Ah it's too bad that there are some bad apples. I'm a fan of the person you dislike and my experience in the fandom is one of the healthiest ever, not just on this side but on the C-net side too. The exact same issues PXR experiences with people trying to keep her trapped in the role of XF are issues CXX has experienced with that exact same drama.

That livestream had me rolling on the floor so I'd watch the hell out of whatever comedy they manage to shoot together haha.

I only just saw this on Douban and literally squealed. I had been tracking the evolution and had a hunch it may start inching up and I was right!

Why would fans of "a former colleague" try to ruin her reputation? What's in it for them?

Knowing Cao Jie (Fei Chi) is one of CXX's best friends in real life and they were college roommates only makes me love this show even more and adds like 1000 points to the rewatch value lol. The bday livestream and the Universal pics had me thinking, well, no wonder they had such great chemistry in the show....though at this point I'm starting to think CXX would have chemistry with a block of wood.

We'll see each other there! haha, and hopefully that drama will manage to captivate us the same way. I've been waiting for that one for so long. I hope it does well, it's Youku so a good run will benefit their app and thus Starry in the long run. I know I shouldn't go in thinking about SDYQ, and I'll try my very best...but gah, it's hard. I watched LBFAD and tbh, no matter how hard I tried, TSL was always in the back of my mind, even if it was a niggling thought.

Nope...nothing yet. And yeah, we all felt the same...could have used that extra scene. Still, a wonderful drama though.

It's certainly a great feeling, I've been waiting for this one for a long time :)
