YES...I've always wondered if this was a soft start of the TSL promo, even though it was several months before it aired. It was a great idea if that was the case because it was dug back up later when new fans poured in. I've heard he also practices tennis and he's good at snowboarding. The archery thing is pretty cool, especially considering his character in GMP is also a great archer.

That's such a great way to put it, I hadn't thought about that. Each shard already retained a certain love for her, she just needed to unlock it, but you're right...it was more about Yetan getting to know each one and fall in love with each one. The only way to unlock their love for her was to learn how they needed to be loved first. Omg this drama is the gift that keeps on giving.

How was The Blue Whisper? I'm also between dramas rn lol...so tempted to rewatch TSL But I'm thinking whether Ancient Love Poetry is worth yet another try.

That is one of my favorite things ever CXX has done. Even without subs, worth the watch 100%. I even love what he's wearing and his hair in this, but it's the archery skills that are soo attractive.

Unpopular opinion, but Wenren...maybe because I found his character hilarious and I wanted so much more. It felt like the shard that was sacrificed and rushed for the sake of the plot. Watching SDYQ indulge so much in the pleasures of life made me happy.

I wonder if CXX has the star power currently to get Dilireba as a FL. Zhao Lusi...maybe? I feel like he'd have to get over the 10 million follower count on Weibo at least, currently 8.2...but he's grown quite a bit thanks to Starry.

Ah yes, I do feel a level of apprehension if it's Esther, especially if any Dixin's get wild. With the new load of fans he's amassed he can successfully fend off most attacks though, but then again I just don't want to see any fanwars. Just hoping people stay civil on both sides of the aisle.

This is residual fear from him going AWOL last year for like half a year so most fans are like...Esther or whoever, just get back into the circle xD

Someone mentioned this earlier so I had to go check...somehow Starry Love is back on the Trending list on MDL --- well over 2 weeks after wrapping up. That's what happens when a drama has legs. Oh and IIRC it's already airing in Thailand, and it's scheduled to air in Malaysia on April 1st. I wonder if it will eventually make it to other streaming platforms besides Viki.

I remember LLD mentioning that she didn't expect the CGI to look so amazing so I assume they did watch it, or at least parts of it, depending on how busy. They're probably given a copy. I was surprised when Xingxu said the scene where he gifts her the star was actually the last scene they shot and that he thought it was daytime, not nighttime during that scene so he was shocked to see the final product.

Nope, that's packaged and done. Hopefully it'll air this year. I would assume that's the plan... to feed off the heat of TSL.

LLD would have been great but idc much about the FL as long as he rejoins filming soon.

I need to check on the rest of the cast tbh, but at least as far as Xing Xu there's been no formal confirmation though there's very VERY loud and persistent rumors he's shooting a modern day drama with Esther Yu starting in April called "Ni Ye You Jin Tian" (You also have today). I've heard the novel it's based on is great so I really hope there's a formal announcement soon. Currently MDL doesn't show a cast for it because they'd rather wait, for some reason, even though they put up melons for other dramas all the time. Fans plan on asking about his next project during his bday livestream, so we'll see!
