1. Few weeks while TSL was airing, there are some people who accused the show and the casts about them having…
True and I also want to mention a lot of sour grapes from fans of a certain drama that aired pretty much at the same time. A lot of them were very displeased that TSL was beating them mercilessly through word of mouth, and they decided that anyone who liked TSL just liked super girly glittery stuff and were all hopeless CXX fangirls.
The Starry Love is the most popular overseas Chinese drama for the first quarter of 2023: https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV1mM4y1U7uJ/?spm_id_from=888.80997.embed_other.whitelist This was already discussed heavily by fans who started tracking the TikTok tag and other platforms. Apparently it's got a very strong market in Vietnam and other South East Asian countries (CXX got a rice painting from Vietnamese fans for his bday and opened it during the livestream, which was so sweet). Super deserved.
The thing about CXX/LLD is that not only do they have chemistry in the drama but also outside. In fact, they have…
I saw NiuDi initially was the "wicked" ship that wanted to stay lowkey, but it ended up being the more active and popular, and the one that trended, so they were like oops... BUSTED. It's fun and naughty, which is so irresistible.
Hah i already gotten over the goodbye my princess duel long ago. I was more impressived with their performance…
I will always have a special place in my heart for Liang Jie. Shuang Shi Chong Fei was the very first cdrama I watched and what got me hooked. All those kisses were definitely not representative of Cdramas in general haha.
Nah, I don't think so. There is still Peng Xiaoran, his drama and chemistry with her are unforgettable to the…
Oh yes...I've heard about all the infighting during the GMP era. I wasn't on Weibo back then so I missed most of it but dang. I adore GMP but I have to agree...it's one of the most heavily political dramas I've ever watched. There is so much intrigue, you have to pay attention to every dialogue or you'll miss who is trying to outsmart who. Thankfully the chemistry between the two leads makes up for the more sluggish stuff...and CXX's acting makes it so worth it.

I think NiuDi is giving that CP a round for its money...especially because it's been so long and SDYQ seems to have reseted CXX's career entirely to the point of FINALLY Dong Gong isnt't the one thing people immediately think of. The number of times Niu Di has trended and the devotion and creativity of the fans is amazing. They pop up everywhere.
The platform Youku even compiled a birthday video for him. So cool! Pity, they did not put Goodbye My Princess…
Yes...it was a really well done bday video too. They seem to fully appreciate him like the golden actor he is. He got birthday greetings from Tencent on Weibo too which was so nice to see. I love that he trended for several hours and people were recognizing his entire body of work.
And CXX replied back to her, telling her he's the happiest (man?) in the heavenly realm. https://twitter.com/eunjieun03/status/1641717149512384512?s=20
I hear it’s a victim of censorship because the novel is time travel and body swap. Since that’s taboo in China…
yeah it seems that shift really messed with the general internal logic of the drama, which is a pity. They should have just done what they did with Shuang Shi Chong Fei (The Eternal Love) and transmigrate her into a fantasy alternate ancient China-ish empire. That's how that drama did it, and it was a wild success.
Okay y’all, so during my days off of here (the TSL page) I finally gave ROATF a shot. & the scene of when PXR…
OMG totally with you, and this is not the TSL filter talking. I really really wanted to like that drama but I could barely drag myself through the first 6 episodes (was already thinking about dropping it after 2, but decided to soldier on). Not only was the story all over the place, the humor was absolutely not working for me on any level. Ding Yuxi is a cutie and I had no issue with him, but I felt zero chemistry and tbh, as beautiful as Peng Xiaoran is, I wasn't feeling her acting either. She is a capable actress but the directing of that drama and the sound engineering drove me up the wall.
