The second half of the drama was both frustrating and empowering. Chang Yu’s actions is frustrating but I can’t blame her. She has a provider and protector mindset. I feel like things wouldn’t get this out of hand if Xie Zheng could be honest about his identity so she knows the gravity of his responsibilities. Though I believe even if she knew, she would still try to keep him from going to war or “doing too much” due to his injuries. At the very least though, they could work something out so she doesn’t endanger the whole army. However, her arc was redeemed when she manages to take down the leader of the enemy that led to their victory. Chang Yu vs the big dude’s fight was so empowering. Xie Wu failing to take him down added weight to Chang Yu’s win. Chang Yu has finally met her match in terms of strength. She was so agile and uses wit and strategies to take him down. That ending scene of Chang Yu was empowering!
The last scene of Xie Zheng and Chang Yu though! How I wish they kept the original scene of them facing each other on horseback. But the current one is beautiful nonetheless. Can’t wait for the head smack next episode!
WOW 🔥🔥
