I held off on watching this drama because I was watching 9 currently airing dramas when it first came out. And then I got worried about starting it because of the unbelievably high praise it seemed to be getting from everyone. I finally finished the majority of those other dramas and managed to avoid all spoilers for this one and now I have just watched the first episode and it affected me more than the final episodes of most dramas I watch affect me. I'm actually going to watch it again right now and I just finished it seconds ago. That first episode is a complete piece of art. It was a perfect example of why I'm so passionate about film and tv. It's the best first episode of a drama I think I've ever seen. It's actually shaken me how brilliant it is. This post probably isn't making sense because I really can't put into words how much I appreciate and love everything this episode did. I can't wait to see where this goes. Also I'm so glad Park Hye Shin Hye didn't accept the offer to do this drama, I don't mind her as an actress BUT Seo Ye Jin just completely encompasses Ko Mun Yeong...I'm already in love with her and so intrigued by her character!(I know this post makes me sound like a crazy person but I actually can't deal with how perfect this is...anyway I'm going to go and rewatch the first episode right now!)
I loved episode 4 even more. This drama is improving each episode in my opinion! It may sound strange but I actually love how they've written Dae Hyun and Yeon Joos relationship. After 2 years they aren't a perfect relationship but they clearly do care for and love each other. And whilst due to some of her actions she's not my favourite character I can't hate her. Because of her upbringing she doesn't understand the troubles that real people have to go through and I think that's where we are going to see her relationship with Dae Hyun really crumble. Especially when he's constantly with Saet Byul who is so similar to him. Each episode I find more and more similarities between the two characters and it's just making me more excited to see him fall in love. Their scene at the end of episode 4 was brilliant. They were adorably arguing and then laughing together and their chemistry felt so natural. I'm all in for them and this drama!
I know I’m probably the only one, but I’m so so excited to see Hong Seung Hee getting the attention she deserves with a main role in a full length drama! The webseries she starred in, ‘Kiss In Yeonnamdong’ is my all time favourite. She’s so likeable, a great little actress and looks a bit like IU which means of course she’s gorgeous!
I love that even though Saet Byul has had a crush on Dae Hyun for 3 years, are leads are shaping up to be an extreme slowburn. Dae Hyun has zero interest in Saet Byul and is completely obsessed and in love with his girlfriend! Also I'm really intrigued by Dae Hyuns relationship with his girlfriend, she was surprisingly honest with him and she clearly has some genuine feelings for him considering how jealous she got. So I'm interested to see where that story goes, but I also can't wait for Dae Hyun to start to see how similar he and Saet Byul are and for him to slowly start reciprocating her feelings!
When Pil Hyun said both of his friends were only handsome because of their height, I strongly disagreed, because the one with the longer hair was so cute...and now that actors getting his own series!!! Thank you!!!
Yeah at this point I wouldn't rate it higher than 8. The earlier ratings were crazy unfair. Anyways now that its…
For me the first 2 episodes put it at a pretty solid 8 for the time being. It’ll be interesting to see what the rating ends up being. Because a lot of people probably rated it a lot higher than they usually would to combat the 1.0 rating it originally seemed to have. (I love your profile gif that drama is giving me all the feels)
I smiled throughout episode 2. My cheeks hurt from smiling so much. The a pulp Fiction dance was a lovely way to finish off the episode. I can't wait for next weeks episodes!
Apparently I'm crazy...cause I really like it. It's stupid and I had fun watching it. (Honestly the "reggae" friend makes me uncomfortable) BUT I can tell I will laugh and enjoy watching the other aspects of this drama as it continues.
the difference is, in FMIYM, both the characters are adults. while, as far as i know, here, the FL is a high-schooler.
I do understand that but the adult character clearly isn’t interested in the highschooler. He just sees her as a “bad kid” - she has a crush on him. And now 3 years later - where the majority of the drama will be taking place -they are both firmly adults with her character now being 22 and yet he still doesn’t have romantic feelings for her, he really dislikes her and what she did 3 years ago. So other than the first 15 minutes of the first episode - where she literally jumped on him - they are both adults, so I personally don’t really see the difference to FMIYM. But of course I can understand where you’re coming from. As I said it’s my personal experiences I’m drawing from, so people will have different feelings than me
I had lots of friends in university who were in serious relationships with 27 year olds when they were 19, which is the exact ages these characters met at - two of my friends are still dating 5 years later with that age gap. Maybe it's just because the I'm so used to it that it doesn't really bother me, but then again I really enjoyed Find Me In Your Memory and the actors age gap was 13 years as well, and their characters had fantastic chemistry.
I found the first episode seriously charming. And I really liked the 2 lead roles. A Puppy ML and a strong FL is one of my favourite tropes so I'm excited. I chuckled the majority of the way through. It's going to be a rom com where I can just completely turn my brain off and have fun with it.
I really liked the first couple of episodes, but after the newest episodes I am completely in love with this drama. With the leads new revelations their chemistry has really reached a new level. I didn't see the reveals coming when and where they did, it was so surprising and kept me on my toes. Also we have a really intriguing "bad guy" the actor is undeniably charming, but I seriously hate his character, but I'm also interested to see where the writers are going to go with him, they really surprised me with the newer developments to his character. I'm actually enjoying having a villain to really hate after all the lacklustre villains in dramaland recently...although I'm sure I won't be saying that when he hurts our leads relationship. I'm loving this more and more each week!
I didn't love the first 2 episodes, but I feel like episode 3 really stepped it up. I'm intrigued to see where it will go now that we've learned a bit more about her past.
