I may just be being hopeful and seeing things as I want to see them, but do we possibly have a potential lesbian character? Han Bi was looking at the instructor like there was some history there...I know it was only a second of screen time but to me it looked romantic...anyway I'm stupidly going to keep my hopes high.
I really really want Dae Oh to be the dad. Actually I need him to be the dad. I loved his little scenes with Ha Nee. Their bickering was too cute. I'm keeping my fingers crossed it's him from now on!
It’s interesting this will be airing the same time as Do You Like Brahms? - We don’t get many music dramas and now we are getting 2 at once! I’m so so’s excited for both!
I know this trope probably has been used a bunch of times, but the example I’ve seen is the US movie Just My Luck. I used to love that movie! So I’m excited now!
The actor played a smaller role in the last drama I finished and his character having a limp was a big part of his characters story. So I was surprised to see in this drama he also has a limp - weirdly he doesn't seem to have much of a limp in the second world. But you can see it in episode 3 when Do Won and him are running after Lee Jin Sung.
Have to say that I really wasn't into the characters in episodes 1-4 I wasn't connecting with them and it was making me enjoy the drama way less than I should've been, but something in episode 5 just clicked and now I'm really loving this drama. I can't believe I was so negative last week because this week I'm completely sold. I'm so excited for more!
Purely because of the limp I'm thinking its Woo Jae Hyuk - also he's a fleshed our character and close to Do Won in both worlds. I'll probably be way off but that's my early prediction.
I definitely completed a lot of dramas that I should’ve dropped when I was a newbie, but after 4 years I’ve finally gotten more comfortable dropping dramas. Maybe too comfortable dropping them... I always give them at least 3 episodes. I now also get annoyed with tropey romcoms when I used to love them!
I came into this late thinking it really wasn’t going to be my thing, but I’m so in love with this adorable drama. Its just such a fun watch, I’m smiling through every episode. I was worried that all these potential love interests would drive me insane and I’d hate who ever she eventually ends up with, but surprisingly I really like all her love interests. And it’s rare to find a drama with a FL who has chemistry with every single character (romantic or otherwise), but Song Ji Hyo is doing such a beautiful job. I can’t wait to see where this drama goes!
I love Seo Ji Hoon, he's my bias. But I'm really struggling to stay interested in this drama. Especially because one of the tropes I find most annoying in dramas is a second male lead who's clingy and possessive of the female lead - like Do Gyum is. I love watching Seo Ji Hoons dramas, and I picked this drama up because he's in it but the fact he's been given the typical role I hate is making this so hard to get through. I was hoping he'd be interested in Han Seo Yoon, but he probably won't be until the very last episode where they typically stick two characters together so they can get a "happy ending" - I really don't wanna drop this drama but I might have to.
I just seriously like this drama. It's got the tropes, but it's doing them differently. It feels so new and fun. Every time I finish an episode I'm still surprised by how much I enjoy it. I especially love what these directors have done, their direction gives this drama a completely unique feel. Really enjoying seeing how they're telling this story.
I'm not really emotionally attached to any of the characters yet. But I do tend to find it harder to connect to characters who are just sad and dark all the time. I really enjoyed our leads tiny happier moment in the past, but it wasn't long enough for me to become attached to them. But the story is really interesting and not too complicated for it to be going over anyone's head. I'm hoping I'll stick with this drama because I find the premise so intriguing, but if these characters don't become a little more well rounded then I don't know how much I'll watch. I've never seen a Yoon Shi Yoon drama before but I think he's doing the best with his character that anyone could do. And I was hoping with Kyung Soo Jin playing a lead character she'd have a really fleshed our role to play, but her characters a big too one note at the moment. I'll definitely watch next weeks episodes but it's not one of the drama I'm most excited for at the moment. Most people seem to love it I'm just a person that prefers character developments over plot developments, unless they're doing both well like the amazing drama '365 Repeat The Year' This being said: I'm loving how they differentiate between worlds and show the contrast. I love how spooky and creepy it can be. Also it's refreshing having an unreliable narrator. The drama made some really surprising choices early on. And I'm really not sure where it will go. It's pretty good.
I didn't connect with this dramas first week of episodes, but I continued watching because of how uniquely its shot and the chemistry our leads had in the trailer. I'm so glad I stuck with it, because episode 3 hit all the right notes. The story became a little more interesting, the leads had some scenes where their chemistry really sparked and the cinematic way it's shot continued to enhance the viewing experience. Im really starting to get sucked in and enjoy it, I'm so glad I stuck with it.
From where their names are listed it seems like Bae In Hyuk and Lee Jong Won will both have big roles in this drama! They're 2 extremely talented younger actors who really deserve their big break so I hope this will be it.
Finally a Seo Ji Hoon drama where he gets to smile again! He's had to be so miserable in his past couple dramas, it's so refreshing to see him play a happier character. But he also needs to stop plays second male leads. I want him to be a clear cut, top credited ML in his next drama...but he's my bias so I would want that.
Really liked how helpful Rain was as a mentor in episode 3. He was harsh, but he needed to be and from the preview it looks like what he said really got through to the grounders. I hope he can continue to be this hands on with the non-ILANDERs so they can improve. I do love ZICO but at this point (from what we've seen) his approach to mentoring has been a little too nice and laid back. He's so brilliant and has had such an interesting, sometimes difficult, journey through the industry, he must be full of determination and insight, I'd love to see him apply that a little more to the contestants. I definitely already have my dream 12, too bad it seems like only about half of them will make the final group.
Chan Hyuk and Eun Hee might actually be happening!!! I was so sure they'd friend zoned each other and that the whole time he had feelings for Eun Joo instead of her but I'm so so happy that I was wrong and that my ship might FINALLY get romantic!!!
