Sorry, but I'm missing something, who is this Peacock I keep seeing people mention? I don't see anyone by that name in the cast list and it's driving me bonkers! TIA!
I am loving this ML.π₯° He's definitely what I would call morally grey. Except not completely. This character seems to be completely emotionally detached except when it comes to Miss Mo. Then look out! I love how this entire rescue scenario is playing out only cause he wanted to get revenge for the Mo family! π₯Ή There aren't enough episodes left! Please let there be a season 2. And 3, and 4.....π€£
yea, I was so hyped up about this, but now dropping points for the stupid characters/moves. And historically majority…
I know how the novel ends, but I wonder how the drama will end? πThe past year or so I've been confident that a story was going to have a happy ending cause I read the novel only to find out that the screenwriters had their own ideas on how it should end....π’
Episode 16. Well duh, would didn't see Coroner Feng making such a boneheaded move? π€¬Letting nasty old bug go before ML is cured? Yeah, file this under 'Not Surprised You Are All Fucking Stupid to Trust the Coroner!' How could he let that nasty old man go, especially since he knows that the ML isn't cured and is going to die still. Some people are too naive and trusting. He believes anything anyone tells him π€¦ Damn, does this mean this is going to be another drama where the ML and/or FL dies at the end because of poison? If they kill him off at the end, curses to the FL and the coroner for killing the ML. Let's hope they end up dying for their sins also. Maybe this will be another one of those 'and then they all died" like Journey to Death (Love).π’ And seriously, why lie to everyone that he's cured. Being honest and letting them prepare for his death would be the right thing to do. Think of how bad all his friends will feel if he dies and he never warns them. Venting over....π One thing about this episode is cracking me up. They stopped for a quick meal but ML didn't want to eat travel rations so they did snares and fishing. Many many house later they finally got to eat! I would have eaten the rations and driven on.π€£ And finally, it looks like episode 17 we're getting back to the creepy deaths stories! The storyline got a bit distracted but now is going back on track? Maybe?
Episode 21. π€£ I'm with Nangong. If someone gave me an ageless pill the first thing I would think is "does this mean he thinks I'm old?' π€£And damn, where can I get one of those pills? How touching, for just a moment the ML let himself feel emotions for Miss Mo.π’π
The info of this drama in genre was mentioned ROMANCE even though it doesn't add up, it deserves to be remove…
Yes, maybe if they remove that tag it will stop all those people complaining about lack of romance. It's such a good drama it doesn't deserve all the hate it seems to be getting for such a silly thing as an erroneous tag on MDL!
Episode 20. The scene where ML is taking out the bad guys with his magic rings and strings gadget (what is it called?) in that badass black outfit with that music...πgods he is beautiful!π₯° Cultivators are really a bunch of heartless beings aren't they? π The battle scenes are so well done. I love watching the BTS and then the finished battle. π I love his little portable alchemy thingy! great for making pills on the go! Dang that hong girl hasn't gotten any smarter over the years has she? Let's go frolicking around by myself in the middle of a war and all the bad guys and then proceed to tell the irritating Scooby Doo villain all about their plans and strengths. She is too dumb to get out of her own way. πAnd now everyone is going to have to risk their lives looking for her. Again. π The 4 of them playing mahjong together. What a happy fun scene! Why does it feel like they are all going to die. Major foreboding. The Treasure House guy with his facial gymnastics while doing telepathy! π The actor seems to usually play bad guys. I love seeing him in this role. This show is getting better and better!
One thing I never understand in stories like this. Prince Ning is definitely evil personified, killing and having many people killed, starved, tortured, etc. So WTF don't they just kill him already? Why is the emperor so timid that he can't just step up and do the right thing? And damn, Liu Chang went from being a spoiled brat to downright evil too! Take them both out! Then again, the series would have been a lot shorter....π
In the novel Wang Chan does not die for ages and ages, approx chapter 1200. For reference in the drama we are…
Thank you! That clears things up. I stopped watching after about a minute cause it seemed pointless to continue in the middle of the story. But, if that is actually how it starts in the future and then goes back to beginning that makes more sense. I may try again.

I had decided I need to start watching the donghua! I started on the version on youtube but stopped once I realized it seems like the episode 1 that everyone has starts like in the middle of the story? So yeah, I'm stopping for now until I can find a version that starts at the beginning of the story. π

Dang, I was afraid of that! π€£I shall push through, this show is just too damn good besides that. I'm curious, is he as bad in the donghua? I mean, the drama version is imitating a bad Scooby Doo villain, I can't imagine the animated version being even worse! π±
Episode 19 and I'm really getting tired of this really badly acted Scooby Doo villain. Please someone spoil me,…
I have to say, that cave fight with the giant lava spider and double-double-cross was awesome! One of my favorites ever. You're a lizard not a dog. Act like one. π€£
Episode 19 and I'm really getting tired of this really badly acted Scooby Doo villain. Please someone spoil me, does he die soon?π¦ΉββοΈ I like my villains more insidious and not over-the-top campy. !Unless they die early in amusing ways! Villains like Xuan Le. He's a good villain. You know he's bad but he's subtle about it. No irritating smirking and cackling. ππ€‘
Just started watching this and WTF? How in the world did they get these names to act in this 'drama' that feels like a student project? Caesar Wu? Yang Bing Zhuo? Wang Ze Xuan? How unexpected! But I'm really curious. Is this a republican era drama? Modern? Clothes, cars, hair, the ML riding a horse down main street, the atmosphere is all over the place? I'm so confused! π
Episode 25. Perfectly silly ending for a perfectly silly little series! Very surprised the FL actually had the smarts to tell the ML what's going on to get all that set up. If there is an award for the dumbest villains in cdrama history I think the ones in this show should be in the running. π€£That guy is some huge big bad and he brings a couple of guys with him and oh yeah, grabs the wrong lady? And they are all taken out by the little lady in the chair with a bag over her head (and probably tied up too?)π I do love the way they ended it with him sitting there with his food delivery buddies talking about the big wedding and FL coming over in that 'omg where the hell did they dig that one up?' gown to take him off to get married. Do you think he at least took off the reflective vest to get married? π€£ I loved watching this along with the other one or 2 people that watched it with me! Final thought...do you think they bought s multipack of white t=shirts for the ML to wear for this series or did he wear the same one throughout? π
Don't read it if you haven't seen episode 25:Ngl, I did think that the ML was some sort of Immortal when Grampa…
π Just in case I watched it first.... I love it, he was some sort of immortal! That would explain it all. Except the childhood incident. Hmm. Drama logic!
There aren't enough episodes left! Please let there be a season 2. And 3, and 4.....π€£
