In the novel, the only time when he might be hurt by her behaviour is when she is trying to protect herself (and she still can't abandon him when she tries) after they first meet up (after all, he did stab her to get his bones back) so she isn't too fussed on going on his journey, not to mention the fact she is puppy-in-love with her shifu and worried about how xian cultivators will think of her if she teams up with him....but she soon decides his adventure is more fun as she begins to learn more about the underlying conspiracy....
Have to say, it's really thoughtful of everyone to be careful about spoilering and tagging appropriately. And also shout out thank you to everyone who is able to find tidbits of trailers etc for clues as to how the drama will develop.

TY was very innocent (that's how SY could trick him easily) and had been cultivating in solitude for a long time....he had no experience to judge and was trusting, put down all her (to a more experienced person red flags) behaviour to just her being like that. So yes real, but not real like he develops for Yan Hui...he's able to distinguish (and even talks about it, in the novel) how if he'd met her, he would have understood real love

aiyolah! the ex in the drama is tied very much in with the plot - it's not a real ex, it's a fake ex...she never loved him, just used him...at no time is there a triangle :D. His whole journey with FL is for the two of them to fall in love while regaining his necessary bits (couldn't have happened without ex betraying him first, cos otherwise fate wouldn't have FL and ML meet and influence each other).
You are generous! Check out her sister in Ep 1 (giving Yan Hui a bad time in the monster dungeon). I think she looks her age, but I also don't think 40 looks old....:D

Needs YH (for his dragon bones, it was YH's blood - he stabbed her cos he knew she wouldn't die cos he knew she had the heart protection scale). For the rest of the body parts, apparently still needs blood, because he wanted to grab his horns and asked her to give him a bottle of blood, but he used it to seal spirit demon (not in novel, Bai Xiao Sheng aka Riley Wang). But once he regains horns, depends on drama following novel as to whether he still needs heart blood from YH. Not similar.

in the novel she stops cultivating the xian path and takes the demon path, that's actually because having his heart protection scale and neidan means she can cultivate more effectively using demon path....plus with the xian sect beat her up to the point of breaking her core so that to rebuild she has the choice...kinda no brainer you'd take the demon path...of course no idea what the drama will do with that.

that's a drama add-on, not in novel. Tian Yao's wedding (to Su Ying) scene in novel is actually combination of retelling to Yan Hui and TY's memory of the wedding and not much detail (was pretty horrific from TY's perspective)
