mixed feelings on this one. It was pretty to watch and it had bits and pieces that could have been awesome but it all came off very contrived and forced. The FL's character and even (for me) Prince An's characters were the least convincing. Plus plot threads by the end were just left dangling in the wind or hastily wrapped up. Meh. Nothing in this drama is memorable or re-watchable. Sad Panda.

Is it horrible of me that at this point in the drama (ep 42) that I kind of wish either one of the leads WOULD die or that they'd at least stay REALLY angry with each other when actually justified? Can the ML NOT use the "self sacrificing" plot ploy over and over and OVER??? -_- UNGH.

Kind of enjoying this, but I can't put my finger on what is making it a bit "off" to me so that I can't really love love it. I think the editing (lack thereof) has a bit to do with it. Some of these chatting scenes are a bit long and redundant. Someone needed to cut some of those out to clean up the pacing!

Tang Yan's character is also very willful, I felt there are times she just got lucky and turned things into fortunate…
this is very true. I didn't feel like the FL or ML were that strong of a "character", where got a good feel for what made them "likeable" or really anything else up to this point. (I think this is going to happen from ep 19 on) The younger sister did stupid stuff, but not at least not with an "I don't care what happens as long as I get what I want" attitude like the middle sister does. AND I don't speak any Chinese, but watching ep19 raw... it seems? like the middle sister is uber pissed the younger one is going to become queen? eeek. jealous already?

Am I the only one who kind of despises the middle sister? Just curious. In my opinion she acts more like the "baby of the family" than the youngest sister by far. I kind of hate her attitude and how she willfully puts her family in major danger and so on and STILL mostly only thinks about her own happiness. I'm thinking she is going to be a major problem in the future :(

@huaxue exactly. If we saw some progress, some changes and growing up from the princess, possibly her realizing her wrongs or anything... it may have made more sense, but all the way to the end she was set in her ways and doing damage. Their "shared feelings" by the end made ZERO sense from Wen You's side!

My PETTY MOMENT. I haaaaaate that after all the things the princess did to get the 2ML, that by the end of the drama it looks like the 2ML actually not only forgave the princess who caused him SO much heartache and was a spoiled asshole the entire drama, but actually came to love her and made a baby with her. I know I know... he had no choice but to "give in to his fate" and make the best of it... but really? Could he really love someone that was pretty despicable 80% of the drama? MEH. That rubbed me the wrong way... but maybe it's just me being petty. ;-) I'm embracing my pettiness here.

finished! Over all, I found this a super surprise and liked it very much even though I don't looooove the ML, the show (because of the FL) was really enjoyable. I, however, am SUPER PETTY and have one little complaint. I'll mention it in a spoiler below, so don't read unless you've also finished the drama or don't care about reading major spoilers. :)

Can someone please tell me which episode does the main girl and the second lead guy break up? I'm on episode 12…
"stuff" begins to happen by ep 16/17 and they are truly over (as a couple) by ep 19. However, the FL isn't completely aware of what happens & doesn't let go of her feelings until about end of ep 23

6 episodes in and it has been a pleasant surprise. I thought the FL would annoy me at this point, but instead she's grown on me even more. I am really enjoying this drama! YAY! :-)

Title Dong Yi
I've watched Dong Yi more than one time but Yi San I just watched half and between when it was airing and I didn't…
I thought about my comment after watching Dong Yi again all the way through. I have to agree. Dong Yi is much better than Yi San though I liked both, I looooved Dong Yi. ^_^
