i read someone say that the art they used, liuhe xinfa, required a person's absolute willingness to die (it was mentioned for yby i think in the novel). that's why yby only told wkx he would die not the whole thing so wkx really went there prepared to give his life in exchange for zzs.
also he didn't lose his martial arts or anything but bc of liuhe xinfa they need to keep their bodies cold all the time and avoid normal food and all so its. not exactly ideal.

someone else also mentioned that maybe since there was no mention of yby later, he might have been the one that gave his life to wkx somehow so these two could be together since he knows the pain of separation.

also don't see how ppl are angry about chinese influences when this show's literally acting as if colonizers are the saviors. i'm sure the ppl of joseon would have come up with their own ways of dealing with zombies than relying on christianity they had believes too they had resources they could have found their own sort of cure instead of conveniently relying on the westernization of the undead. on one hand its nice to see a joseon where christainity or any other faith isnt considered criminal but it would be much cooler if they'd had the ppl come up with their own ways to deal with this and transformations instead of relying on someone else's religion.

ig bc in korea it was japan that colonized them and not european countries they didn't care about it but lol these christian missionaries went around colonizing asian countries claiming they were 'taming barbarians' while being the ones using barbaric means themselves. it was just...insensitive to portray them as 'heroes', esp when that was exactly the excuse they used to justify their actions and claim a higher ground.

historically too it doesnt make sense since korean ppl had learnt from their ancestors sycophancy towards the chinese and limited their interactions with other countries so they could protect their own, so relying on someone they've historically been wary of to get rid of their demons is. doesn't make sense.

ah yeah i understand that!! ik its better not to speak on this as an outsider that's why i mentioned that i didnt know as much. but from what ik and have read korean culture truly began to grow and thrive during joseon and that's when all its prominent elements were created. not that there wasn't anything before but back then during goryeo the aristocrats believed that studying chinese literature and using chinese letters made them superior? all of this was dismantled During joseon so if there r references in this from my understanding i didn't see a problem. bc like. im asian and i've seen how neighboring countries tend to influence each other's cultures too we have elements from different asian cultures.
but ur right they obviously know better so its not my place to say this but maybe ppl should also wait to hear the writer's intent? its a pretty big production it's be pretty crappy if the writer didn't pay attention to this detail.

i understand ppl being upset about historic inaccuracies but they also need to understand this from the maker's pov. this is set when joseon was first founded right after goryeo and i don't know a lot about korean history but i do know enough that goryeo's culture was intertwined with chinese culture and so joseon's beginnings would obviously carry its influence. joseon was when korean culture began to grow and thrive so if the beginning of it still have vestiges of chinese influence its accurate actually

still not too attached to inwoo that I'd get defensive if ppl didnt like his acting but I've watched enough and have a brain so i can tell the difference btw Good Acting and passable acting so if u tell me jisoo did it better u should probably learn to critically analyze acting or just watch enough so u know the difference

It must be difficult playing a character from btw not bc it'd be hard to act but bc he came in btw and probably wasn't familiat with the cast and crew but that doesnt reflect on the show AT ALL. in fact on screen he looked far more comfortable than the other dude did

I hated inwoo's character in mr queen so i wasnt too fond of him as an actor but seeing him on this show made me a fan of his he's such a natural actor he slots into his roles perfectly

actually i first watched him in mr queen and i HATED him but when i saw him in this...his acting as on dal was what made me like him as an actor. also on dal's character traits were decided by the scriptwriter and not the actor. ive seen that jisoo bitch in other works and whether it was a bad character or not i just immediately hated him bc of how stiff and boring his character was. it was always like he was reading of the script and had no life of his own.

on dal was such an awkward character before he kept annoying me but inwoo makes him seem so natural and cute god im so happy i wish we had him from the start i finally like this character

if there werent any hints at all it would just be plain bad writing nksgnkls i meant the style is different and not that the writing is bad this is what's generally called a big plot twist in storytelling and i was saying that it's not my preferred style bc i've seen too much of it not that its necessarily bad

i dont care about who's endgame as long as this drama shows how jiwon picks back her confidence and learns to trust herself again. i want her to prioritize herself first not bc she's afraid of getting hurt but bc she values herself that much. right now all her actions are a result of her last heartbreak that asshole really broke her.
i feel bad for seungyu this is why communication is so important in a relationship but i get both their povs. he doesnt find it necessary to tell her about his ex and she's too scared she'll get hurt again. just hoping the drama will handle it well but i kinda doubt that..

actually it was revealed earlier on that's why ppl could notice all that stuff bc in jinmook's character (what we were shown in the start) him continuing to grill so dongsik wouldn't have to was very in character he's done that all the time its just this one time he was shown to have an ulterior motive.
also idk the many ppl you're talking about since i mostly only comment and read comments on here but from what i read no one really suspected him except for the reason that everyone was involved in the blame game but him (which is exactly the trope i'm talking about). its okay if u disagree i didnt write this post to convince ppl of my opinion but to simply state it.
