Yes, I know about liquidating assets, but you can't liquidate someone's house. You can assume their mortgage if the lender is willing to assign it, or you can buy it at auction or a short sale, or just plain buy it, which seems to be the case here. If it was his own house, he could use the term "liquidate" colloquially to mean he converted it into money, i.e. sold it, which would make it somewhat unuseful as a location for a restaurant, unless he signed a lease with the new owner, which seems to be making things a bit difficult for himself, and if he was able to accomplish all that in an hour, we're back to bim having superpowers.

We should have expected subtitles like that when they couidn't even be bothered to get the title right. Chains of Heart means someone made a chain out of heart meat. It should he Chained Heart(s) or Chains of the Heart.

I'm really not enjoying this. The men are hot, but it's hard to make sense of what's going on. I thought Ken was a forestry officer - why is he working in a Cantonese restaurant in Hong Kong?There are no Thai forests there.

Also, why was Ken acting like Cheng had asked him to rape his mother when he asked for Thai food? I really don't care for conversations where people pause for 17 minutes between each phrase.

And should Kinn's father be running his criminal empire instead of cooking dumplings in some random restaurant? Maybe that's how he's managed to feed his sister for all these years.

I think maybe they just run in through Google translate and hope for the best. Like when Dad went to liquidate Mr, Wang's building instead of buying it. Unless he has superpowers and really did convert it into water.

I'm very sparing with 10s, and anything I think is bad with few redeeming features is below a 5. I was kind to this for the sake of the actors - it feels mean to pick on 16-year olds too heavily and they were trying.

I like this but don't love it. Uea is a huge dick and I really don't like him. He comes off as judgmental and girlie in a 19th c way. "You have SEX without being in LOVE?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?" Come on.

The plot is just silly, Uea's character is silly, and the premise makes no sense. If King is interested in Uea, why would he ask him to be a fu$%buddy when he knows Uea is hostile to that idea? Why not ask to date him?

Anyway, Net, on the other hand, is f@$&ing ridiculous. How is it possible to be that hot? If anyone looked at me like that they could take whatever they want and discard me, and I'd have fulfulled my destiny on this earth.

A lot of people seem to love NetJames - I'm not seeing much when it comes to one half of the pair, but I've never seen them in anything else, so I haven't seen what James can do in a role where I don't want to slap him. Maybe if he lightens up in this I'll see what everyone else sees. He's not really my type, though.

I do like the production and direction - I'm usually not a sound effects guy, but when they're used very sparingly they can be effective, like the 'ding' when the light turned green, which was funny and cute.

I liked all the character interaction, although I could have done without the fake kiss, becasue it took my out of the moment. A nice hug would have been fine, or, I don't know, maybe a kiss? So the actors were 17. it's not illegal to kiss, Its not inappropriate. You can do it when you're six (to another six year old), It smacks a little of homophobia because I've seen many straight dramas where underage people kiss, and we've seen it on GMMTV before. I suspect it's related to the current government tightening the screws - we've seen the impact before.

What I didn't like was all the coincidental external factors, and they were so intrusive that I'm afraid this is going to go the way of so many past BL, derailed by external drama towards the end. I mean a ferry sinking? Come on. And then Alan's accident - he has no family to take care of him? this is all really artificial drama and I'm disappointed.

Khoutung did the rejection scene well, but it was also written well. I just hope the remaining two episodes focus on character and not silly plot developments.

I think it can be blamed on the sound. They need to work on that. When anyone's eating I have to turn off the sound, and that scene with Wen & Alan at the restaurant were drowned out by the squeaky fan. If the microphones are too sensitive, any slightly more forceful exhale will sound loud. I noticed this ep when Jim sniffed in amusement it was really loud. That's bad microphone placement.

Sometimes it's as simple as "I'm just not attracted to you." There are plenty of people we all wish we could be attracted to but aren't.

Because a fake kiss is obviously fake, takes the viewers out of the story, and dminisihes the emotion of the scene, There was another BL where an important conversation was happening in a car but the background was obviously fake (i.e. they were in a stationary car with a screen playing traffic behind them) that nobody could pay attention to the dialog because it was so distracting. Likewise, I didn't enjoy Alan & Wen's scene last ep because of the squeaky fan.

When something is fake or doesn't belong it's distracting, That's why it's better to have no kill than a fake or bad one.

For for the 99% of people that aren't ACE, romantic love has a strong physical element to it, so is there really a call to instult the audeince? We're not here to watch bromance, we're here for romance, and that's how this was marketed.
