You don't think Force is good-looking?
Got it. I don't actually think Book is all that - especially for a BL actor. He's cute, and maybe he'd be hotter if he weren't wearing inch-thick white makeup - but Force has grown up nicely.

I'm surprised they're even let in the door at GMM after Enchente, but maybe it did better than we might think.

I didn't know what ASMR meant so I went to YouTube and now I am reasonably certain that I hate it with every fiber…
OK, but I've worked on projects in Thailand - admittedly a US company, but all the in country management were Thai - they all wore long-sleeve shirts, but nobody was in a jacket or tie. Tech has always been different - even when I was younger, nobody in tech wore ties - if you did everyone thought you had a job interview or someone had died. Now you don't even wear ties to interviews anymore. This is a small gaming company - it's just weird. His outfit at the end was better - he could probably get away with that.

That's true, I guess. I've worked in high tech most of my career and everyone would laugh at a CEO that wore a suit - it's just weird. Especially at a gaming company - people would not even agree to work there if they saw that.
On A Boss and a Babe Mar 5, 2023
OK, I was actually entertained by that. The last trip/catch thing knocked it down a few points because I hate tired cliches, but I don't want Book to die horribly like I did in Enchante, and Force got hot. The dynamic is interesting, but I need to see some chemistry between them if this is going to hold my attention, because there's none at the moment.

GMMTV must love forcebook because rarely do you see a pairing awarded with two BL shows after having a major flop…

I'm surprised!That was legitimately kinda cute and funny. A very light-weight kind of series.I still don't see…
I didn't know what ASMR meant so I went to YouTube and now I am reasonably certain that I hate it with every fiber of my being. It's like all the creepy and disturbing in the world is condensed into one thing.

But I do like this more than I expected to, because Book in Enchante was the most supernaturally unpleasant lead in the history of BL. But in this, he's playing more to his strengths, and Force has obviously been hitting the gym hard, and my goodness gracious has it been paying off. In Enchante he was kind of goofy-cute - in this he's "you can choke me if you want" hot. I wish they wouldn't have him wear that arrogantly placid expression, though - it's too silly.
On A Boss and a Babe Mar 5, 2023
Does the title mean that Gun is both a boss and a babe, or that Gun is the boss and Cher is the babe? If it's the former, I agree. If the latter, no. Cher is annoying and poorly acted, but Enchante could have told me that. I'm one minute in and want to drop it, and would if Mike didn't look so hot in that leather jacket. That's earned it a few more minutes.

Edit: Holy cow, did Force get gorgeous or what? My goodness. But once again a BL writer has no idea what an actual workplace is like. The CEO of a gaming company would never walk around in a suit like that - everyone would laugh at him and call him a pretentious tosser. Force looks hot as hell in it, but it's still totally off.

People just want reasons to hate tbh. I even saw someone saying that they dislike this season because Kiyoi didn't…
Some people don't like it because they don't like it. Just because you like it doesn't mean that everyone who doesn't is actively trying not to. I like it, but I didn't like watching it except the finale - I don't like feeling uncomfortable for an entire episode, which is usually what this is like, I stuck with it because the writing and acting are mostly excellent, although occassionally too cartoonish. But the finale was pitch-perfect.
SomePeopleSay Mar 5, 2023
There was a really good kissing scene in this series - unfortunately not involving any of the main characters. I actually skipped the two love scenes in the last episode - they were wholly formulaic and lacking in chemistry - it was actually uncomfortable to watch, even with Linus Wang's hot bod on display.
On HIStory5: Love in the Future Mar 4, 2023
That was bad. It's telling that the look on Xing Si's face when he opened his eyes on the roof was better acting than we've seen in the entire rest of the series (except for his previous scenes).

The ending was so predictable and trite and yet also managed to undermine the characters. Are we really supposed to believe that Hai Yi was a high-powered go-getter the whole time and his lounging around gaming and eating all day for months was all an act? Come on.

It doesn't feel like this was making any effort.

Correction, you may come for that and your bar for bl is different. At the beginning i was complacent as well…
It depends on the story. If it's adults like these people, then it would be silly not to have sex, although it can be offscreen (as long as Linus Wang takes his shirt off first). In Physical Therapy the characters ended up in their mid-30s and after being together for over 5 years, they'd never had sex, which is just plain homophobic, unless they're specified to be an ace couple which they were not.

In a high school romance, it's not necessary at all, in college it depends. for a story to be good, it has to ring true, and physical intimacy isn't optional for the vast majority of people even if they're not ready for sex yet.

I think the OP is overstated, but there is a reason why the vast majority of BL characters are hot, wear stylish clothing, and their characters are usually rich. It's just false to say that nobody he's for the looks. Even in the abovementioned I Told Sunset About You, Billkin & PP Krit are attractive guys.

Nope I love the series I would watch it over and over and over and I’m glad to share my opinion
Congrats, but that had nothing to do with my comment. I'm speculating why people compare this to KP, and I think there are good reasons for it, given how much this tries to be KP.

I actually think it's modeled after The Godfather as much as KP, except, what if Michael Corleone were in high school.

I'm really surprised that you agree with me on this - that hasn't happened lately. Nat isn't just a great actor,…
That would be fantastic. I suspect we'll never get a BL with two 40-year old leads, but one can hope.

What was wrong with I Will Knock You?
We all have our tastes. I don't find Saint (the Love By Chance one, not the Our Days one) attractive, and I know I'm in a teeny minority there. Or I don't get the Bright thing. He looks like an average-looking white guy to me.

Oh yes, the wet hair trope! And I quote all 150 BLs I’ve watched: “How can you go to sleep with wet hair?…
After college I taught English in Northeastern Poland, which is a match for MN in cold and more than a match in humidity - so it's that wet, bone-chilling, soul-withering kind of cold, and I went out with damp hair once and it definitely froze. I didn't need a piggy-back ride, damp towel wipedown, or q-tip dabbing, but I did need to gently place my hands alonside my head to thaw it out. I don't think I lost any.

You bring up an interesting point that I think is a general problem in the custom of shipping two actors together forever. In FUTS, Phuwin and Pond were cast for those specific roles because they were suited to them. When you keep them together and throw them into a different story, the primary focus is on putting them together in a story rather than matching the right actors with the right parts, and it almost never recaptured whatever magic the first time produced.
Ladbugann6 Mar 1, 2023
People are commenting about KP because this obviously wanted to be KP for high school. I didn't really like KP all that much, but it at least didn't take itself seriously - this did, and that made its ridiculous aspects take you out of the story, whereas KP embraced its silliness - it was as much a comedy as it was a drama. But seriously, is what you're doing all that different? A straight 10 for everything? Come on - giving it a perfect score is just as artificial as giving it an unrealistically low score.
