The +ten seconds button isn't cutting it anymore - I need a "skip Team's nighmare" button. How many times is it necessary to recycle the same plot element? We get it. Team has nightmares unless he's in bed with Win. Let's move along now.

That's a good way to put it. That's one of the reasons why WinTeam was so popular in the first place - they were a breath of fresh air to give relief from the dreary story of Crybabies and Robots. Now WinTeam is the dreary story and the side couples are the relief, such as they are, given how predictable they all are.

What are the chances that Wan will be thrilled when he discovers his secret friend is a cute and charming guy, like a normal human being would? 0%. At least they can't do montages of happy times together to a sappy ballad because they haven't had any. Knowing this show they'll do a montage of them talking to their phones. And what are the chances of Prince's career causing drama? 100% - most likely Prince's agent, who will inevitably be an evil trans character, will force him to break up with Bee.

I'm the total opposite - I don't like the WinTeam story at all - I've gotten to the point that I ff through all of it. Everything is predicable, lacking in any energy, and their dynamic is icky, more like a parent and child than lovers.

I'm at Ep 6 - Team almost drowns, then there are flashbacks of him almost drowning even though it happened 5 minutes ago, then a character tells the story of him almost drowning in an exposition dump, even though it happened 10 minutes ago. Then there is about 10 minutes of sanctimonious public service lectures about not going swimming alone. Anyone who is older than 5 already knows you shouldn't go swimming alone.

Ukes should be allowed to go swimming anyway, since they always drown or get a fever if water touches them.

On the other hand, I think Bee is adorable and sexy, and Tul & Wan are interesting.

BL is constantly trying to recapture things that worked in the past, but things that are special aren't special anymore if we have to watch them over and over. Enough with Ohm and Fluke. I want to see Fluke with someone else - they can put Ohm back into whatever department store window display they grabbed him from.

Did it not occur to anyone in this production that WinTeam worked because they were a side couple? There's not enough plot in their story to sustain an entire series - in order to do that they have to add elements of their lives we didn't see before (for example their families), but when they do, people complain. What does everyone want? 12 episodes of Team having nighmares and climbing into Win's bed and Team drowning all the time until Win teleports in to save him?

If I have to see that nightmare one more time I'll be the one with PTSD.

I'm sorry that COVID interrupted this production, but when something like that happens and you have to go back to it later, the passion tends to be drained because everyone involved has moved on to other projects that they're more invested in. That's likely why there's no energy in this. Or maybe Santa vacuumed up all the energy and that explains why he's behaving like a mentally disturbed bunny on crack.

100% agree. Everything is so predictable. You can have BL cliches and tropes if you integrate them into the plot, like My School President does. Here it seems like someone made a list and they're checking off all the boxes.

I don't remember Win & Team being this boring - I seem to remember they were the only reason I could slog through UWMA. Here I've started ff through their scenes to get to anyhing with Tae, Art, or Yacht. Tae especially gets my motor running.

Does Art have trouble remembering his character's names or something? In TTWE his character is "Art", and here it's "A".

Was this filmed a long time ago? Santa is so skinny and small - he's so musclebound in My Only 12%. Or does it just appear that way because he's with Earth in that? Or maybe all the speed they've put him on is slimming him down. Did they tell him he's playing an 8-year old who ate too much candy?

This series is a bit pointless - it's not really offering anything new and it goes in circles and seems to be all banter & bickering. I was really hoping for more, especially with such a great cast. I kept falling asleep during Ep 5 as absolutely nothing whatsoever was going on except people sleeping and eating. Riveting.

It is a bit much, though, to say people who don't like the series are perverts. I'm not enjoying it very much because it's poorly written and shouldn't be taking this long for the plot to progress, not because I'm a pervert. I came for WinTeam, but now I keep hitting the +ten seconds button to get to the side couples.

Also, you're responding to someone who's criticising a series by attacking them personally - do you not see how that's 500 times worse? Can't you write a blistering attack on the person's views rather than the person? You can't complain about someone being negative when you're calling them an idiot, troll and clown - it's intensely hypocritical. You're saying if they don't like it then go away, but couldn't the same be said for you? If you don't like reading their posts, then block them so you can't see them or just ignore them.

TBH, your original post was fairly offensive - you're making a lot of assumptions, both for who the series is aimed at and why people like it or don't like it. Everyone is different, and almost nobody watches BL for sex scenes - or if they do they're masochists who like to waste time.

I'm actually the opposite. I groan whenever Pharm shows up because I know the waterworks are about to start, and WinTeam are really, really boring in this - I don't get the writing. Around and around in circles.

I can't get enough of Bee (but not Prince), Art, and Tul.

I just realized I forgot to watch the last episode of UWMA, but I was that one guy who didn't like it. I seem to remember it was about two boys in love with mannequins that made them cry 24/7 while walking and talking unnecessarily slowly all the time. Also, the costume design team was mad at Ja for some reason and were determined to make him suffer.

You are correct.

They should show us what they're thinking with acting. If you're wanting to hear their thoughts spkoen, then there's something missing that's not connecting with you as it should. If I can see Thi being proud of Toey, that's more affecting and relatable than if he's just standing there while his voiceover says it, and words are no match for feelings imparted organically.

On a different level, Toey & Thi have voice tones that are too similar. At the end where they were alternating it was confusing. You can figure it out, but it takes more mental effort which takes you partially out of the story.

Voiceovers are really only good for comedies, when what a character is thinking may be funny. Like if you have a row of generals meeting with the president and they're thinking

Gen A "Can we convince him to do the right thing?"
Gen B "It may be too late to save the country."
Gen C "My heart breaks to lose so many young lives ."
Gen D "Did I leave the iron on?"

The first third of that was dull and predictable - especially whe Noey offered his hand - "Here we go with the long staring and not saying anything schtick."

But it picked up when Noey geeked out about Pam - I love what a mess he is when he's out of his comfort zone. The role playing was funny, and Thi was unexpectedly attractive when he was being romantically aggressive.

BTW, about Noey being scary, nobody looks scary wearing short shorts and a bright red jacket.

Nobody's menttioned it, but what killed me was Noey wearing Thi's cow pajamas.

One thing, though - they need to stop with the voiceovers. That's awful writing and it's not trusting the actors to... act. They are clearly up to it.

Many past series have been released in film versions, which are often better and/or have additional scenes. Wish You's movie version was so much better that I went from hostile to really liking it.

It was a little lol when they had Seung Hyu made up as a geek in college - the bad hair and huge glasses isn't fooling anyone with all those muscles everywhere. He sure is cute, though.

I like this - it's fairly well written, although again with the trip/catch. Sigh.

I think it basically is a film, but they cut it up. And they usually paste these back together after it's done airing to become a single film. And I totally agree with you - if it were all together, it wouldn't give us this feeling that it's rushed or things are left out.

BL drinking makes zero sense, so I've given up trying to make any sense of it. Things happen that are not compatible. For example, if you're so drunk that you think you're having sex with someone completely different than you actually are - sometimes not even the same sex - then the chances of your being able to get it up are not good. Also, that's not how alcohol works. It's not a hallucinagen.

My first thought was, "Oh, great. Another high school drama. Just what we need." But it's the best executed HS drama I've seen and is actually quite special.
