I really want to watch episode 4, but I also know that waiting 2 weeks for episode 5 is going to kill me, but…
It's literally the best episode of anything that's ever been made in the entire history of human civilization. The level of adorableness is so high that I cried all the way through the episode and I will radiate happiness for the next month.

That might be a slight exaggeration, but it doesn't end on a cliffhanger and is the end of a chapter, so it won't make you crazy in anticipation if you watch it.

Fourth'smile is on another level.
Everything about Fourth is on another level.

OMFG this is so goooood. How can it be so good. Is it legal? And it is from GMMTV too so double the shock. I never…
I actually didn't love Bad Buddy - I loved the first half, but the second half was just endless repetitive fanservice and the story abandoned all its themes.

So I'm nervous, because this series is nearly perfect and one of the most enjoyable I've ever seen for a lot of the reasons you mentioned - but if GMM has proved one thing to us, it's that they can ruin ANYTHING. I'm just waiting for an evil girlfriend to drop out of the sky in Ep 11. But I suspect that won't happen with this one.
On My School President Dec 23, 2022
This series is so cute it makes me cry a little. Or a lot. Fourth is a standout with his charm and charisma, and his solid acting - but Gemini is pitch-perfect as someone experiencing first love - there's a sweet and innocent quality to it, and the joy he feels when he's with Gun. It's quite special.

Again, not a very original story, but I don't think this type of "standard plot" can be done better than this. What a joy to watch. This may go in my top 5.

I have a bit of a crush on Thiw (Tinn's best friend) - I'm a leg man and his are spectacular, plus he's got a certain sexiness that comes from being cute and athletic.

Is it me or was Gun totally flirting with Tinn? 🤷
Oh yes. I think Gun doesn't really think about things much - he just goes for it.

This episode (5) was slightly better than previous one (4), but still not that good. Their behaviour is just too…
Fortunately Ep 6 was better - much less of the silent-bike-argue. And the dance scene was genuinely funny.

this drama is my definition of "comfort food". noey is so funny and dreamy, i can't blame all the girlies (except…
Really? At that age I would have a crush on Thi.
On I Will Knock You Dec 23, 2022
Ep 6 was a little better than the last few because there was less of Thi just standing there saying and doing nothing while Noey was asking him to do something simple. That is beyond tiresome, so hopefully the trend toward doing it less with accelerate.

The dancing - for both of them - was really funny.
On The Director Who Buys Me Dinner Dec 23, 2022
This is the most enjoyable KBL in a while. It's like I say - it doesn't matter how crazy the premise is if people act like people. And here, they do. People react in ways that make sense, say things that make sense on a human level - like "why do you need to hug me to do that?"

The acting is really good, the dialog is sharp, and the story is interesting, with the mystery gradually unfolding, and it's well-directed and edited.

Some of y’all are expecting too much. It’s a short 15 minute per episode series where the first 2 are a recap…
Why not? That's still longer than a feature film. But a plot twist isn't what makes a story good or dramatic, it's acting and writing and this series has those.
On Oh! My Assistant Dec 23, 2022
The Korean BLs need to work on their casting. These actors have zero chemistry and look so uncomfortable even hugging that it looks like they're sexually harassing each other.

This is the worst Korean BL I've ever watched. Contrast this with Choco Milk Shake - both come from source material that's very sexual, and both excise everything sexual, but CMS did it right, and distilled the story to its essence and had a wonderful cast that you could feel all wanted to jump each other. This is soulless and dull with a stupid plot dependent on, well, stupidity. I can barely remember the previous episodes whenever I watch this because it's the same thing on an endless loop. SH is very forward and obvious about liking MY, and MY is totally oblivious and constantly thinks SH likes someone else - with zero evidence.

In this episode, Someone Else even delays the production so that the boys can get it on, and MY STILL thinks she's who SH likes. So stupid. A good clueless character doesn't pick up on subtle cues - he doesn't miss "I like you and I want to be with you" followed by a kiss and "I'm going to postpone publishing so you two can have sex" are not subtle cues, and not understanding them makes no sense for someone who isn't brain-dead.

At some point I was shipping Muyeong and Junseok because they had better chemistry than him and the Seonho

Unless they were going to have the hockey guy take a shower. That I'd be on board for. Also, I like that they hired a 37-year old actor, but yeah, it was a useless storyline.

Regarding Ex & Sister, it was almost a deliberate FU to end the series with their wedding. Why on earth would you not end with the main couple's wedding in the one Asian country where it's legal?

I’m still trying to comprehend this series and its happy ending despite the curveball of Episode11 which I still…
The Hockey player and the mousy dentist were just another age-difference couple so they were especially pointless as they were just duplicating Alex & RJ. I thought the hockey guy was hot, but it's not like the series was lacking hot guys.
Kate Dec 21, 2022
I totally agree about the secondary characters. The hockey guy and what's his name were cute, but what did it add to the story? It's the same as Alex & RJ - an age difference couple. Why not just give us Alex & RJ? I would keep Bai Lang's sister, but I didn't really buy pairing her with Xun An's ex.

The most egregious time sink was certianly Xun An's ex. He got more screentime than Alex & RJ and added absolutely nothing to the story except handsomeness, which we already had plenty of.

I found it funny that he's going to get a gig playing piano and they don't specify what he's supposed to be playing.…
"Just play something random - they're all half dead anyway."

Kind of like the way most of the background music of BLs is Christmas Carols. Love at the End of the World had The First Noel playing and it was very distracting.

The lack of follow-through with the side couples (especially Alex and RJ) really disappointed me. I more or less…
The age difference isn't all that large, though. I think BL writers just don't know how to write. I think they create characters that they imagine, and can come up with a basic layout of their interaction, but when it comes to writing a series, they just don't have a real story to tell and 90% of series just fizzle out.

What was this story? At first it was "man with PTSD and terror or dentists falls in love with dentist", but after that it was a jumbled mess. Bad Buddy was like that too - the first 6 eps were first rate, then it dived off a cliff and degenerated into dull fanservice.

Even Triage fell apart towards the end - the author had no idea how to bring the story to a resolution.
On Never Let Me Go Dec 21, 2022
It's OK. Pond's acting has improved a lot, but i'm finding Phuwin stiff with not much emotional range, and it's a pity because it's a complex character. Hopefully he grows into his role. There's not much chemistry between them, although it's early - and it doesn't help that they have to contrast with Perth & Chimon who overshadow them.

I still don't understand the point of being in high school - it feels like they're checking a box. The plot has very little to do with it. It would have made more sense if they were workers at the family firm.

The plot is a bit predicable and Lakornish - with overwrought music cues to broadcast who is evil .

Speaking of which, Nueng was playing a piece that would give all the elderly people a heart attack if they tried to dance with it - then he played a Habanera, which you could tango to, but not 4-step. Sorry, I have a music degree - I have to make it useful somewhere.

Anyway, this feels like KinnPorsche goes to high school.
