So, this version is muuuuuch better than the original, but I have the same problem: Vee cheated on Ploy too, but…
They're not the same. What he did is bad, but it's not anywhere near as bad as having an entire other boyfriend and lying through your teeth like she is. And Vee was going to let it go until he saw that she was sexting from his bed. That's low.
I don't really care about consent. It's a drama, not real life.
If you don't specify, then it's open-ended. Kind of like "people". This is a discussion board about a specific topic. If you say "we", you mean everyone here. Unless you're using a royal "we" to refer to yourself.
Me too - it needed at least 4 or 5 times more screen time. Are they really doing a Vegas/Pete series? It feels like it's too late for that now - I can't imagine what it would be about.
Honestly I really want KimChay to have more screentime given all the drama they're going thru
I think both Barcode and Jeff are amazing in this. I tend to forget most of every episode except their scenes - they always nail it and steal the show. I would have made Vegas & Pete the main couple and Kim and Chay the side couple. K&C would suffer if too much time were spent on them (I'm thinking about three times more should do), but V&P needed way more to pull off that storyline.
Remind me never to get on your bad side.To be fair here, Rich loved Tupe for his youth and body, so it's not like…
I don't disagree with you, and I would have liked one more episode to go through some processing, but given the short run-time, I thought the script was efficient. I'm sure Rich was hurt, but he also knows teenagers are idiots and have no self-control, so I thought it was reasonable that he forgave him, and on some level he probably knows he was being foolish himself. I think it's perfectly natural - I was 18 when I realized I was gay, so I was more like a 13-year old when it came to dating and sex, so I get his behaving younger than his age - but he's still 40-something, which gives him life experience to handle what is likely a fairly mild heartbreak (as far as heartbreak goes).
I would probably need to tell him I need a "break" where I don't see him for a while, but your love for your child is almost certainly stronger than for some teenaged houseboy.
However, I would not forgive him for hurling one of my lovely and expensive hand-crafted dining chairs.
I don't understand what the users are watching the drama thinking Yanase has feelings for Kaneda. Because when…
I just don't find the misunderstanding credible on Kaneda's part. They were hardly more than inebriated, and when someone kisses you it's usually because they like you, not hate them. You don't get drunk and irrational unless you drink quite a bit - but to be fair, drinking in BL is so wildly unrealistic that it's hard to draw any conclusions. In real life, if you can have a normal conversation in a normal tone speaking clearly, you're almost certainly not drunk. In a BL, people can have complex philsophical discussion after drinking and yet have total memory erasure aftrwords.
Yanase mentions in his internal monologue that maybe it's best if they just remain colleagues, which he wouldn't think unless he was considering the alternative. "In love" is too strong, but I think it's very clear that he likes him romantically.
I think Kinn & Porsche are dull and have so-so chemistry at best. They were more interesting at the beginning when it was more comedic, but now they feel lik 12-year old girls at a fake tea party.
At some point I put it on 1.5x (or maybe it was 1.25x, don't remember), and didn't notice until Porsche cried in the car. That's how slowly this episode moved whenevr K&P were on. I wonder if a lot is being left out of the story because it seems like a mess. It's completely bizarre to take care of someone by forcing them to become a bodyguard in a crime family. So either this is stupid, or Korn is hiding something, in which case Kinn & Porche are stupid for buying that. Either way, there's quite a bit of stupid going on - and while the mystery of what Korn's relationship to Porsche is makes Porsche relevant, Kinn isn't. What purpose does he serve? Korn is the real boss, so Kinn is just... there. And the fluffiness is so out of place in the story that it seems gratuitous. It doesn't help that they're the weakest actors.
Pete & Vegas were better this ep - I guess because in their case a slower pace worked better - too much happened with them last ep and I think it was faster than I could invest in them. But still, something is off - it feels like an important step was left out, like their dynamic is unsual enough that there should have been some reflection instead of of them just stepping into these roles. Pete almost died, after all.
I'm honestly not feeling VegasPete at all and I feel bad because I know the actors worked hard. 😕
Really? I'm still not feeling Kinn & Porsche at all. Vegas & Pete were a little too quick, but I get more from them. Not nearly as much as Kim & Chay, though,
I was hoping this would show an age gap couple without the usually angst about not trusting the younger partner…

To be fair here, Rich loved Tupe for his youth and body, so it's not like he's a saint. It didn't take him long to switch his attentions to a new abs-advantaged houseboy.
OK, it was bad, but it just happened, and once. Ploy has an entire other bf and is lying though her teeth.

Kim & Chay continue to be my chief draw to this.

I give Greg and Tupe 2 months at best. Anyway, I enjoyed this - well done.
