It sad. Apparently the subtitler from So Much In Love fell and suffered brain damage. It's generous that this production hired him.
This was better than I expected - the humor is situational and not based on farts, poop, or screeching trans/effeminate characters. Much smarter writing.
I love the support cast - so nice to see Tae playing a great character in a better production, and I could stare at Lee all day.
i'll never understand why so many people voted thanuwayu over thanuphai, it would've been a lot more interesting…
Poor Phai is underused. Sandee is criminally underused - he was the reason many people were sticking around. And while Thanu looks unusally good with his shirt off, most mannequins are better actors.
"I find the Gap and SIng thing very, very hard to believe. There's been no hint of it, and there's no reason for…
I took as they were always together but keeping it secret, but you might be right. But then I'd have to ask, what's the point of introducing things that won't be in the main storyline? There would be no purpose to their being together during a "fake" loop. But I guess we'll see...
Yes, I understand how you feel, compared to the other episodes there have been many changes and new rules have…
The changes are fine when they create or solve mysteries - but in this case they're handwaves to leap over plot obstacles. But you're right, and I'll reserve judgment until we see what happens, although I'm betting heavily on a kiss that brings on a long montage of everthing that's happened since the first loop.
Like the test, you have to go through purgatory. Imagine that Tol actually did die in the other loop and now has…
But this is written within a Buddhist cultural context, not Christian - and only Catholicism has Purgatory. It's a great theory though, and a lot of BLs have introduced a Western religious concepts. Especially, Christmas carols, LOL, which are often the background music.
And then he gets even more tongue tied and says, "I have to do that.... that thing." He doesn't even know what…
Maybe go somerwhere private and do "that thing" guys do when they've had too much stimulation. Sorry, that was crude, but it came to mind when he said it.
I agree, but I don't like the "new rules" that feel like cheating. Why would a kiss bring memories of alternate…
I don't think there's enough time left. Sing told a total stranger he had a boyfriend, so it's obviously not something he feels the need to hide, and if the reveal had made us look back at past events and think "Ohhhhhh! Now that mades sense!" that would have been nice - but here it's out of nowhere. The author didn't know how to connect Tol and Tin, so she just threw in "kisses bring back memories!" And she didn't know how to get Tol to figure out what's going on, so Tin, who's dead, shows up to give him the magic notebook. That's lazy writing, and a real disappointment in a series that was notable for intelligent writing. Fortunately it's cast with notably good actors, which helps a bit.
I like this series, but there were too many "cheats" this episode, and I don't think they're part of some test that isn't reality.
Since when do kisses bring memories of alternate timelines? How does Tin's magic notebook retain what he wrote in successive timeless? Shouldn't it be blank? How did Tin show up to give it to Tol? Since when does Tin forget everything each time loop? We've never heard that before. What Dr. Sak is doing is fairly horrible - how did this not cross his mind throughout the series? I find the Gap and SIng thing very, very hard to believe. There's been no hint of it, and there's no reason for secrecy, at least not with their friends.
Everything is too neat an easy. If this were Ep 6, I'd believe it was part of something we don't know, but there are only two eps left. TBH, I was disappointed with this ep.
Ok Loopers, I think I'm the only one who didn't enjoy this episode. It's well played, funny at times. But !I feel…
I agree, but I don't like the "new rules" that feel like cheating. Why would a kiss bring memories of alternate timelines, and since when did Tin have a magic notebook that keeps what he wrote from timelines? Why isn't it blank when there's a reset? Why did Tin show up to give it to him? Again, a BL writer comes up with a great concept and starts out brilliantly, but doesn't know how to bring it to a conclusion. This is disappointing.
