Wow. The thumb - that would have done me in for sure. I don't know how Nozue didn't go for it.
So that was one of the best scenes I've seen in a BL - emotional, well written, acted, and directed, and so hot.
I'm tired of the Asian obsession with misunderstanding about a woman and the whole "I'll get out of the way so you can be happy with a girl even though you love me and we'd be so happy together" storylines, but this avoided so many of the tired tropes and it was so well-executed that I'll forgive it. Nozue didn't do the cartoonish eyes-wide-open thing, that may be the first time someone's told a guy with a nice body that he has a nice body, they both behave like men...
And the humor is funny. "I'm expecting a package" - that made me laugh.
This was one of the most intense love confessions ever.My heart ached for Togawa while he was admitting everything…
No! Only one more episode?!? I didn't look and now I've died a little. That was pretty incredible, though - not only intense and emotional, but steamy.
There have only been two episodes released so far though, so your "most boring and pointless" proclamations seem…
I was taking for granted that Kaneda's "way with" Yanese is exactly what Yanese wants, but I see below that is debated, so I can understand why someone of a differing opinion might take what I said in a different way.

I don't think I said he should sexually assault him - my goodness! I meant got unexpectedly forward instead of behaving like an 11-year old Victorian-era child.
If something is really boring after the first two eps, I think it's valid to say so - there is an implied "so far" there - and I will give it another ep - I almost never dump something before three eps/
Not every kiss has to be passionate. That kiss in the umbrella is very real. Vee is heartbroken, he didn't expect…
No, I agree, there are lots of types of kisses. But think about kissing someone chastely, on the cheek, lips, wherever. Actually, just kiss your own hand. It's certainly not sexual, but you won't just touch your lips to it. There's an active element to a kiss, even if it's just a pucker. I have no objction to the non-sexual nature of their kiss - in fact it would have been weird, even kind of icky, if Mark had done anything sexual at that moment. It's that the way they executed it was so fake that it felt homophobic.
It was an accident so it doesn't count. OK, it was bad, but it just happened, and once. Ploy has an entire other…
I know, I was kind of joking. I like this series, and I liked eps 2 & 3, but ep 1 was a mess with totally unrealistic alcohol drinking. It was so unrealistic that it's impossible to really evaluate what happened. If Mark was so drunk that he didn't know who he was having sex with, then Vee raped him. There were only three beer bottles in the garbage can and hours passed, so there's no way Vee was anything more than slightly buzzed, so that's no excuse.
Drinking a huge amount of alcohol can interfere with your ability to form short-term memory, but if a guy has that much, he wouldn't be able to talk normally, wouldn't be able to get it up (although he could be raped, obviously), and in general would be barely responsive. So what happened? Who knows? I really hate lazy and stupid writing like that.
But everything else has been good, although I would have preferred a hug in th umbrella scene rather than whatever that was.
Perfect sum up. This was BL was the biggest disappointment for me. I kept hoping they'd get back on track. Alas.
I feel like BL writers are good at starting stories, but then never know how to end them. or maybe they get to the end and realize it's only enough for 8 episodes so they have to extend it through stupid means.

If it's not going to be passionate, then there shouldn't be a kiss. A hug would have had more emotional impact than something that took me out of the story and looked like two straight guys who are acting out a scene.
Nobody kisses like that. Even just a friendly kiss isn't just touching lips together like two action figures. I've seen mannequins kiss more realistically than that.
This is terrible. It's hard not to compare it to Physical Therapy in its dullness and pointlessness, but at least PT wasn't one really long commercial for a supermarket.
The writing is abyssmal. So a woman's bf comes home from work tired and in a bad mood. Obvious assumption: he's having an affair. What kind of stupidity is that? How on earth is that a red flag for her? Everything is like that. And fart jokes? How old are we?
Chahub is a good-looking man - maybe a little too perfect to be attractive - but the acting. Yikes. I don't remember him being this bad in Ep 0. And what happened to Best? I thought he was enthralling in Ep 0, but I just want to slap him here.
Nine is weird, Danuea is a whiny little brat, Tee is an idiot, and Boat is annoying. What's the point of this? Even the music is terrible. The piano bits sound like they're from a Valentine's day perfume commercial, and whever anything sexual looms, we getting video game villain music.
I don't understand how an on-air drama that's clearly not good already has a rating of 7. I tried my best to like…
The sex scenes are tame - even in the uncut version. There hasn't been one I'd rewatch, as opposed to Ep 0. 7.3 is too high for this series, but it is quite low by BL standards - it's probably that high because mosly people who like it, for reasons I can't understand, have stayed with it.
I can handle some dub-con and non-con. Not my kink, but I'm pretty tolerant since its fiction and fantasy, but…
Having sex with him in the office is sending mixed messages, to say the least. Is it true that he doesn't want to participate in deed? Having sex with someone is a fairly communicative deed. And isn't there a reason Daonuea dosn't tell Tee that Nine keeps hitting on him? The whole point is that Daonuea keeps telling Nine he doesn't want him but they both know that's not true.
It's terribly written for sure, and I won't event start on the acting - nobody is acting like a real person. Or at least not an adult person. But a lot of people like aggressive partners - Nine can toss me around all he wants.
I don’t think I want to start this series cause I don’t want it to ruin how I enjoyed the special episode…
Your instinct is excellent - I wish I'd followed mine after th first ep - I thought it might get better, but two was bad and three was worse. The writing, directing, acting, and everthing else are bad.
Why are the best series so unpleasant to watch? I love this and Triage and I hate watching both.
Vee has got to win a prize for Most Improved Acting. I remember feeling like War was in a completely different and much better series than everyone else, but here he's a match for War.
I guess I have to let the engineering student & evil gf tropes go since this is retelling a story from when those were required by law.
The kiss in the umbrella scene was a weak, but the acting and the emotion were there, and they did kissing right in Ep 1, so I can let that go too.
Also, both of them look exceptionally good in swimwear.

It's better not to do a kiss if it's going to be like that. It would have worked better as a hug.

Awful.
