It's actually funny how perfect Shinomiya is - maybe even to the point of dullness. But that face...

It's funny - you can't help but think about how liberating it is for Fukuhara to be with him, but relentless good luck is a burden too, and so Shinomiya benefits too (remember when Fukuhara saved him from the girls?). You can't ever learn from mistakes (luck protects him from the consequences), you never overcome obstacles, you probably don't even know what it's like to build any kind of relationship with anyone because everyone loves you to start with - you don't really experience life.

Shadow gives meaning to light. It's no wonder he fell in love with Fukuhara - it's probably the first real thing he's ever had. Well, that plus he's adorable.

More stuff happens in the third episode that adds to your theory, like how Shinomiya didn’t win the grand prize…
I think the opposite - when he's with Fukuhara he can be a normal person. You don't really experience life if 100% goes your way. Or think about happiness - if you're totally sheltered from unhappiness, would you even be able to apprciate happiness?

Shinomiya can't learn from mistakes, because if he makes one his luck will shield him from the consequences - remember how Fukuhara observed that S was treating their date like a primary school field trip? That's probably because he's suffering from arrested development due to never having to overcome obstacles. Or how happy F was when S "saved" him from the swarming girls? Too much of a good thing can be bad.

You know, I just thought of something... Part of this drama doesn't add up. How often do bad stuff happen to Fukuhara?…
You might be overthinking it, but there would be many less back luck opportunities when he's just sitting at home, and in a familiar place he probably has developed habits that avoid chance. Like maybe taking a bath in shallow water rather than showering. As for the almost accident, we don't know it would have killed him - it might have injured him or caused him to fall in a mud puddle. He's probably tried luck charms and none of them worked.

I don't think it really needs to be 100% consistent - that would be impossible to write, or even predict.

Wow, the offical subtitles are a lot better than the fansubs -there was a lot in Ep. 12 that I didn't pick up on before, like when Rak asks about the new house rule, which was more or less a confession.

Sometimes the English doesn't sound very natural, but this is still OK. I'm not crazy about Miguel's new haircut, but minor point. However, if this is going to be about dancing... well, not sure how that will go.

is it sad?... do they show the one guy dying every episode? It makes me hesitant to watch. lolbut I guess it could…
Tin is so bad at infiltration that it took me hours to watch the episode, due to overwhelming secondhand embarassment. I didn't think it was bad - actually the writing and acting were great. The kids were not idiots and asked all the right questions when they were suspicious.

I was thinking more of the punching as dickish.
Sigh. I was more moved Mehta's subtle expression than all of Prakan in this ep. This might have been special if they'd cast Yacht as Prakan. It's just tiresome watching someone with only 2 facial expressions and emotional settings.

This keeps going around and around with the same plot point. This ep could have worked if it had been the first time Prakan had blamed Tuaphee, and we might be able to accept it as displacing his grief and helplessess into anger at an obvious target. But because we've done the same thing so many times, it just makes Prakan unlikeable and frankly not very intelligent.

But I can still stare at Karn all day and Nathee & Kheeta will be cute together if that ever happens - we only got the first whisp of a hint at it this far in, so there's not a lot of time to develop them.

I didn't knew Holland before I think that critic here is less to the point, because this guy went through a lot…
OK, but he doesn't have to open all the gates - he can focus on his main singing career. He should also develop skills first in a field he's planning to enter. Korean BL in general is underdeveloped at this point and it's important to produce good content.

If a series isn't good, it's also bad for the people involved, including Holland.

In any case, I don't think he's terrible, but this series isn't showcasing him in light as positive as it could. A good director could have pulled a good performance out of him, and better writing could have given him a more compelling character. Next week it looks like they're going to skip over any logical developmnt of their relationship and jus hurl them together.

What embarrassment??
The way Tin was lying and getting caught all the way through it was so cringe. I don't mean it was a flaw in the writing or acting - it was all excellent - it's just hard for me to watch. If you're not familiar with the term, "secondhand embarassment" is the embarassment you feel when you watch someone doing something embarassing.

I didn't realize Diao = One and Rak = Love. There's probably a lot of wordplay with Rak's name we aren't gtting in translation.

The One31 announcement refers to 2 last episodes, and it also says "how will their love story end?" That dosn't mean there won't be another season, though.

Me too - this is the only one I watch twice - without and with subtitles. Actually, for the later epsiodes I watch it three times because the official subtitles are usually quite a bit better than the fansubs.

You can kind of get a sense of what's going on without subtitles, but there's a lot more to it with the subtitles - like I didn't know Diao spent the entire episode trying to get close to Rak to see if it made his heart beat fast.

Also, Win is a great actor - his role is difficult, to be ridiculous and emotional without being OTT - I like the way he told Rak to fuck off without saying a word, or how devastated he was at the end when he realized he can never be with Rak.

But when he's wondering how Rak feels about him, that's some serious cluelessness. The way Rak looks at him could make a block of ice burst into flame.

I'm sure there will be a S2. I just hope there isn't a cliffhanger.

i can’t accept ep15 being the last one Now that we got some cuteness from DiaoI HATED the plot for the last…
I think it was pretty clear Rak is trying to draw Diao out - I don't know if you saw the EP 15 scenes with subtitles, but the ex-gf seems aware Rak likes Diao and Rak is asking Diao how he'd feel if he got back with her.

Win is a very good actor, even in this cringe fest
He's really good, and he can communicate strong feelings without being OTT - like how sad he was at the end of Ep 14. I didn't think this was that cringe - I did in Ep 1, but I got used to it. Actuall Dao makes me cringe - she's bordering on sexual harassment - Rak has never given her even th slightest encouragement - quite the opposite in fact.

I agree with all comments here, they too soon to cut this series on episode 15. I watch this series since first…
But it was clear Rak was in love with Diao in Ep 8 - and I think Diao has known how he feels for some time but has been in denial.

Also, I'm pretty sure there wiill be another series or a continuation of this one.

Jing is a film student and Guy came to speak with him while he was filming a scene. They involved him in the scene…
Oh. I thought betel nuts cause red stains. Although it does eventually rot your teeth and gums, but not by your 20s.

I thought it was a Japanese thing, but apparently in SE Asia too, people used to deliberately stain their teeth black, but only women did it. Because they used so much white makeup, it made teeth look yellow in contrast, so the black was thought to complement the white skin. That sounds awful. I just looked it up and the dye was iron filings, vinegar, tea, and rice wine, and apparently smelled terrible and didn't last long and had to be continuously reapplied.

I didn't realize (or forgot, or skipped over) that Jing is a film student.
