I dropped this after 2 episodes but just came back to read comments to see if it improved at all and if I should…
If I could do it over, I'd just fast-forward through the whole thing looking for scenes where Dr. Pun takes his shirt off or Milk sings.

I understood about... maybe 5% of episode 10. With what they pulled in that episode, even Pun and Milk's chemistry…
Have you seen Ep 11? It explains everything. (That was sarcasm.)

Can anyone tell me what the Facebook post says in ep 10? I can't find it translated
It seems to me that the chances it will shed any light on anything are very, very slight.

It's kind of like I'm watching a new drama every week but with the same actors and have been given no backstory…
It also feels like in addition to receiving no information, they were also given no food, which is why they wander around in a daze doing random things.

nothing was answered in regards to what happened to Dr. Yang.. did he quit? was it a break? who posted that post?…
I was a little shocked by the Rose scene. You're engaged to someone who looks like THAT and you won't marry him because you want Mr. Owns Nothing But Black Turtlenecks Despite Living In a Country Where it Never Falls Below 32 Degrees? (although he does fill them nicely. But still.)

I'll take the fiance if she's not interested. Although sex appears to be illegal in the alternate reality this series is set in, so it's probably better to marry someone unattractive if you're not allowed to touch them. I presume the sister had unprotected artificial insemination resulting in that child. Milk wasn't kidding when he said he'd help her raise it.

I am still not clear why Milk acts like sex is not part of being in a relationship. I feel I am missing something.…
This is a BL, so a peck on the cheek is practically BDSM.

I think what happened is the director told everyone to just do day-to-day boring things. Then he died. The new director also told everyone to just do boring day-to-day-things, but different things that were boring in different ways. Then he died. The next director, naturally, also told everyone to do boring things, but interestingly, he let them do some of the same boring things, just as long as thy weren't done in any way that provided any continuity or comprehensibility. This happened 8 more times.

Then it got to the editor, who committed suicide. The next editor also committed suicide, but then they found someone who had suffered brain damage in a car accident, so all this somehow made sense to him and he began to assemble this into the series we're watching. But he died. So then they just gave up and aired whatever they had in no particular order.

What the f@$% is this series? What is going on? I have no idea what anything is! Every episode I'm convinced after three minutes that I somehow missed an episode and check the previous one. The last one ended with everyone looking at their phones in shock. From this episode it appears to be something about Dr. Yang, but I have absolutely no clue whatsoever what it is. It can't be something illegal, or he'd be in jail, although Mes' uncle committed 1st degree murder and Lhong tried to strangle someone to death in front of multiple witnesses and neither suffered any legal consequences, so it's quite possible Dr. Yang is a serial killer, but it's impossible to tell. Or care.

If Pun had just become a doctor when the series started, he would have been at least 25, so now he and Milk are in their 30s and have been together for five years. Are they both deeply closeted straight guys that think sex is icky? It would make sense - they've had a kid without touching. Maybe they're Catholic and believe the best parents are virgins.

I'm debating watching the rest of this based on review like yours - but the backlash when this aired was Mix's completely OTT reaction to the will reading, not the body-swap - it was just too full of hate.
On Cupid's Last Wish Apr 3, 2022
I watched the first episode when it came out and was surprised to strongly dislike it and that seemed to be a common reaction - but I'm seeing glowing reviews and comments now - did it really get that much better? I even thought Mix was surprisingly bad, but he may have been directed to overact, which is more jarring in a Thai production, where the style is generally understated.

I had no intention of watching the rest of this, but now I'm not sure. If the first ep didn't work for you, should you stick with it? I just found it emotionally incomprehensible - Mix's character's reaction was strange. I could get him having an angry reaction, but a year later he hadn't calmed down even slightly. That kind of makes him a bad person, TBH. I thought maybe it was just a bad decision to go too far with the enemies to lovers trope, but that's a really big bad decision and well, Enchante.

Title Our Days
I am also preparing for a teary eyed ending.. The moving abroad idea doesnt stick with me yet.. I lean more towards…
I was trying to be optimistic, but I'm sure you're right. It could still be moving, but that would be bad writing . I don't think it's great writing even if it's worst-case scenario - I just don't see someone that young having that perspective. I think he would go with his feelings, and still have hopes of surivival. Doctors will never say "You're definitely going to die soon". They would say "10% chance of survival".

Also, we haven't seen the slightest sign of illness - no doctor's appointments, medications, anything, so it's really not fair to introduce this so late in the story, especially right after a surprising and really great turn of events (the elevator confession). I'm irked.

For sure. Or make anyone watch a terrble BL just for glimpses of him.

Title Rak Diao
That was beautifully written. Do you normally write? Haha, I bet it would be interesting to read your stories.…
I think maybe I'm not getting enough sleep. But thanks. I think Rak's taking Diao's hand is one of the great moments in BL - it was orchestrated well, the acting was strong, and the music track perfect for the moment. It feels like a lot of love goes into this production and I hope it can keep it up.

I seem to be editing a lot of writing lately - I need to do more of my own I think. You can get rusty without practice.

Theo is a malignant narcissist. Nut woke up with a naked stranger in his bed that broke into his house and stole…
I did express what I was thinking a bit oo aggressively - but her first sentence with pricks capitalized and then specifically and unnecssarily referring to the maleness of characters rubbed me the wrong way - and there seems to be a habitual lack of tolerance for characters who express negative emotions or behave aggressively, which is ironic given how aggressive and negatively emotional the judgment of those characters is.

Nut has anger in him, which is very often, or even usually (except for people with severe personality disorders like psychopaths), the result of trauma of some kind, and it seems clear already that he was subjected to significant abuse. He's a complex character in a genre that doesn't normally feature them, which is to me wonderful. I really enjoy series like Secret Crush on You, but each character only has one characteristic (slight exaggeration), and it's just not the same level of show as something like this. If a viewer has no interest in engaging with a charater, what's the point? Plus, except for in the case of horrible characters like Theo in Enchante, it's off-putting for a character to be dismissed as a bad person, rather than addressing specific behavior.

If you dismiss Nut is a prick, then the show is basically over for you, so there's really no point to discussing it, is there?

Or take a statement like "there's no excuse for Nut to treat his mother that way". Well, other than her being an emotionally distant person who just forced you to accept a total stranger into your home that broke into the house naked for unknown reasons and who she now apparently prefers over you, which person is physically identical to your dead first love, coinciding with the loss of your most important possession/friend, then sure, no excuse. I think I might be a tad antsy under those circumstances, but maybe I'm just a prick. :)

The whole point of a discussion forum is to hear other POVs. If yours was exactly the same as mine, THAT is when there would be no point to my answering your comment. If you are that bent out of shape by people having different opinions than yours, then I won't make the mistake again of exposing you to a "circus." You must be really fun at parties.

Oh, I know very well you need no protection! I was just reacting with shock too - I'm not sure this is exactly fluffy as there are some darker themes, but I think Nut is a well-realized and interesting character. I'm kind of sick of cookie-cutter semes and ukes at this point, but a lot of people like the formula, and there's nothing wrong with that - but it still kind of surprises me when there's resistance to anything that tries to leave that comfort zone.

That would actually make a really good comedy film. Copying other cultures out of context can quickly go wrong. A high-society party with canapes doesn't intend that to be all you get to eat all night. It's just a reception, not an actual meal. The food served is just an accessory to the drinking. It's basically a high-end version of a bowl of peanuts at a dive bar. Your friend is lucky that guests weren't actually having take-out delivered to the party.

Oops - I'm sorry if I spoiled anything. Fortunately it's not an important plot point.
