I don't know why people don't like this more. It's fun to have a bickering odd couple. Tae's character is unique and engaging, and this is a way better role for Singto than Weir. The humor is actually funny and written with wit. I really like it.
As far as I know , the novel from which this story is inspired from is named "Behind the curtains". So in both…
Whoever wrote it for whatever reason, it's the weakest thing that's happened in the story. Whenever the plot is moved like that by a random but incredibly coincidental thing happening, it's lazy. It doesn't somehow invalidate the entire series or make it bad, but I'm a little surprised that people can't acknowledge the difference between good writing (like the fight and roof scene of ep 5, or everything else in this ep), and weak writing like the ending. Liking a series doesn't mean it has to be regarded as flawless.
I think its now time to get ahead in the story and thus reveal their secret to friends first but I am not ready!!!!…
But you just gave me the definition of lazy writing - "thats what the story demands." It's a Deux Ex Machina, literally - the stage backdrop has been fine all season and it just happens to fall at the worst possible momemt, when f all of both Pat's & Pram's friends were there for no apparent reason?
A non-lazy solution would have had a more organic development - example: It's Pran's birthday and Wai plans a surprise and shows up at his place with their group and force their way inside (where a shirtless Pat (hey, it's MY imagination) is on the bed. Or Wai recognizes the doorknob in IG (how could he not?) and figures it out and they're exposed in a messy confrontation.
Not Me is the highest at the moment, but it's only had one ep. BB is the only one I can think of that is going…
I think it looks promising, but we've seen Off-Gun several times, and while they're good, they just don't have what Ohm & Nanon have, and their fearless ability to show passion. The rooftop in Ep 5...
"Give me sometime to adjust", after 2 sec "I am done adjusting."Love. this series has some of the very fine butterfly…
Not Me is the highest at the moment, but it's only had one ep. BB is the only one I can think of that is going up over its run - probably because the first two eps were a bit violent and off-putting, so higher ratings eventually pulled it up.
Agree with you on the music. The jazz during the baking scenes is my personal favorite. Also agree that Pluem…
The problem with the gigantic cast is that the story ends up with a dishjointed tone as some of the cast have comedic stories and others have dark and tragic ones - and attention gets distracted from the stuff you care about. For example, if the child kidnapper story and Monet's parents disappeared from the series, would you care? Or if Jean were to fall off a cliff? Probably not. But they're taking up time not spent on the core characters and their relationships.
I have to say that this series uses music better than just about any other one I've watched.
That scene between Krathing & Monet was already one of the most romanticly charged I've seen just due to Pluem's acting, but the music really heightened it.
Ep 8 should show anyone and everyone that Pluem is a leading man, and should never be wasted on support roles. He was so good in this episode that I cried through half of it despite the unsubtle-to-the-point-of-eyeroll writing.
So we clearly don't have enough characters yet, so let's throw in two more next week. Sigh.
I'm on episode 4 and don't get me wrong, Singto is an absolute sweetheart, but I just can't buy him playing the…
I'm with you on Singto. His looks are fine, but his personality is just not gay conqueror. As for Lee, there's no chance they'd cast someone unattractive for a lead tole, but he's so good-looking that just wanting to take pictures mildy inappropriately is not enough to overcome the appeal of a highly attractive rich man/business owner.
meant to start this but now i’m like 8 episodes behind and i feel like if i don’t start it now i never will..…
If you're a big Singto or Lee fan, then probably. I watch it out of inertia and I was driven to it by Pluem. I can't really recommend it otherwise - it's a mess with too many characters and storylines.
What a mess. I ended up ff through the Jean scene because I just don't care. Is yet another storyline what we needed for this series? We got a nice peek at Lee's chest this episode, and that's about all it had going for it, other than everything having to do with Pluem.
Well, that was not good. That's the first time I've skipped through a love scene - those two have no chemistry at all. I don't know what's wrong, but I think it's mostly the lifeless directing.
It flew by for me. The plot might be predictable, but it seems like it's going to be executed with more cinematic…
He was more muscular in Puppy Honey and he was physically imposing in the one where he was psycho - I think The Gifted? He looks just as good now, just different.
Anyway I present as evidence the below - go to 2:38 (I know this because I've watched that scene many, many times.) Off looks like a stick next to him.
It was OK for me. The plot seems really predictable, and until Off showed up it was a little hard to get through. But it's not engineering students, so I'm in. Gun has lost a lot of weight - he looks fine, but it's a big change.
But that ending was LOL ridiculous - I'm a little disappointed, TBH - that was seriously lazy writing and unworthy of the rest of it.
