This is good so far. Yes, it's a bit slow, so my attention did stray a bit, but I'm willing to let that go since…
And everyone says I overthing things. :) But you're 100% right - there's no way he would do that when they were open - I guess maybe if it was almost closing time and things were winding down.
As for sense of smell, that is a pretty important and rare ability - it wasn't just a sense of smell but a fine-tuned one. I know a guy who got a job with a Whiskey Master because he impressed him at a party with his discerning nose.
The food porn is great, but am I think only one who thought the first episode moved really slow?
Other than Zack, yes, I think you might be. I didn't think it moved slow at all. Well, the apron-putting-on scene at the end was unnecessarily long, but that's about it.
You can't consent if you're incapacitated - you can certainly consent if you're inebriated. In this, nobody was incapacitated, and they had both had about the same amount to drink in any case. Drinking lowers your inhibitions, as in able to overcome shyness to do what you want to do - it doesn't suddenly make you willing to have sex with anything that comes your way. I've been drunk with my parents many times and I have yet to have sex with them. I've been drunk around the dog countless times and I haven't raped it yet (or been raped by it).
The idea that people can't consent when drinking is strange - that's what drinking is for. Should we ban bars? People go there for specific reason that they're trying to find somoene. I think the nonconsent label you've but here is really unacceptable - it's creates a very negative impression that will make a lot of people skip something that was lovely - and loving. I think it's a good thing to be aware of the dangers of drinking and sex, but we can get carried away - nothing is black and white.
I agree with you about smoking, though. Kissing someone with smoke breath is awful.
That was fairly solid by the standards of low-budget Pinoy BL in terms of acting and production. There were a couple of things that struck me - that was the lowest-energy Kaleb performance I've seen, as if he's not excited about the role. Usually he blows me away no mater what he's doing - he even got me enaged with Serpiente, and that's saying something. He certainly is an "old soul" type of person, which fits this role.
But the trip/fall/stare was seriously OTT and gives me little hope for any originality in the story or writing. Can we please retire this stupid trope? I'm not sure anyone in human history has ever tripped over the same shirt twice, so maybe that passes for originality? And has that ballad already been used in a different BL, or do they all just sound the same?
Anyway, it was OK, but a little dull and I had to take a break in the middle. I was drinking an especially good cup of coffee while watching or I might have had a more negative reaction. I guess I was a little disappointed, but it was watchable.
I think BL writers need to learn that while tired and stupid tropes might be familiar, they are boring and drain energy from a story.
True, but the dialogue isn't going to help anyone with their confusion - it was a very abstract teaser and had almost no clues about the plot except it's obviously enemies to lovers judging by the not-very subtle symbolism. But it was super-well shot and edited, which is really encouraging. And not one single tired trope in there, also encouraging.
I was so in love with Dr Thara - so sad. Maybe they'll do a Manner of Death sequel with Inspector M and Dr Oat solving crimes in between bouts of crazed sex and lingering shower scenes. Their sidekicks could be That and Sorawit who help them solve crimes between THEIR wild sex and lingering shower scenes.
OK, that was a good teaser from a production standpoint, and that in itself is encouraging, because there are clearly talented people involved if this gets made.
But note that this is not a trailer and doesn't really have any relation to whatever is eventually made - it's all filmed in a studio with just a couple of actors - remember the last trailer, which looked like there was a complete series in the can? Well, none of that happened. When there are this many problems with a production, it rarely comes to fruition - although sometimes it does. But usually a bad result if there are large creative differences. Anyway, here's hoping for the best!
As good season 1 was, season 2 is 10 times more boring. Also, is it just me who thinks that they are trying to…
I would be happy if they were fetishizing their bodies, but they're not even doing that except in the thumbnails. It's just a big mess with an incomprehensible plot and we don't even get skin as a consolation. Although Emil does wear really tight t-shirts. Who thought anyone wanted a BL about a scheming pregnant maid?
I liked the tender love scene, but I'm vanilla and Fiat did express his desires for next time. The redemption…
Totally agree with everything you said - but I was mostly talking about the horrible female characters. I think BL writers must have had a lot of negative experiences in high school with other women or something.
I was annoyed with the skinny guy at the beginning - I don't think that actor did sassy very well, but he did a great job with the more serious parts.
I enjoyed that - but - and maybe I'm too tired for my brain to work correctly, I don't understand the ending. I'm impressed they did almost the whole thing in a continuous shot.
At first, I thought this short was pretty silly. But as it progressed, I became immersed and interested in their…
I was checking here to see if the friend gets less annoying because I was about to give up. It sounds like it gets better, so if I finish this an hate it, it'll all your fault! :)

BTW, Rosebud was his sled.
