I think "feminine" is the wrong word - perhaps you could say "stereotypical 12-year old Victorian girl with consumption", but I think the most accurate way to put it is that he has no agency. He's the ultimate uke, who is totally useless and helpless without his seme to save him, do everything for him, and give his life meaning.
That's not a compelling story to me.
I don't think there's anything wrong with sleeping around, as long as you're not hurting anyone - but he was trying to break up someone else's relationship, and he was sleeping around to deliberately hurt someone, not to explore love and his sexuality, so he was essentially using all the people he was sleeping with. Even if he was sleeping around to try to fill an emotional hole, that's human and relatable - but he wasn't. He was just trying to hurt Leo.
That's not a very appealing person. It could, however, make for a compelling character, except that there was no development - he is instantly cured because he's with Leo now. So what's the source of dramatic tension in this story? Someone having damaging photos doesn't cut it. It's an external source of drama, and not character-driven. So why would I care about it?
I'm not getting why people didn't like the ending - I thought it was well-done, and James' speech was really on-point.
I think there are a lot of people missing the point of this - it isn't a BL where the whole thing is about a cute couple being cute together, it's about real issues in BL production, specifically how people's likves are twisted and warped by the need to deny actors the right to private lives in order to maintain a facade for marketing.
This wasn't a show about Marco & Bas' romance, and if you were expecting it to be about that, it doesn't feel like you care about the themes of the show or were paying attention to them.
The acting in this was really good - it goes without saying for Michael, but the guy playing Tee was fantastic. He did such a great job of depicting someone having a progressive meltdown, and he did creepy like nobody else can do creepy. I love that he has 100% perfect English pronunciation - that was a nice touch.
I absolutely would not. It's not awful, but it got COVIDicated and they couldn't really complete it, so nobody really gets together and they just make phone calls to each other for the last three eps.
I'm having trouble connecting to this. I'm not sure if it's that the main couple got together before the series started, or because I really don't like Fiat. I'm not sure if First is a good actor or not because the writing only lets him sulk and cry really, really loudly. Am I supposed to like or dislike him? If I'm supposed to dislike him, First is a genius.
I do really like both Leo and Leon, though - I thought Leo was beautiful, but Leon - yikes. Beautiful and adorable. I'm not sure I would watch this if not for the Leon/Pob plotline.

One thing I did appreciate is that they only broke out into a cheesy ballad once (which is OK) instead of every single time anyone was sad - the piano music they used instead was quite good and fitting.
What is with all the hair drying and piggy-back rides in BL lately? They didn't used to do that. Is it 2021 style or something? Will they switch to manicures and over-the shoulder carrying in 2022 (since bridal-style is soooo 2020)?
The content of the flashbacks this ep was good - I don't mind non-linear elements of a story if they're relevant - it's long flashbacks of things we've already seen - sometimes only seconds before - that irritate me. Here there were flashes of footage we've already seen, but at well-placed moments, and I didn't feel my intelligence was being questioned - they were long enough to convey a thought or feeling and not a moment longer - that's what a visual medium is.
However, the flashbacks with his brother were a little cringey in how clumsy the introductions were - "remember when we were young and you did so-and-so?" You can almost hear the harp glissando and the scene doing a wavering fade. It's a little like when a sitcom or drama has run out of budget so they do a flashback episode. It would have been better just to set the relevant portion of the episode in the past.
Thai BLs really need to resist the urge to burst into a loud love ballad whenever anything romantic happens. It really spoiled the mood in that truly wonderful scene where Nut sings on the phone - it was almost comical because it appeared that Phob transmuted into a diva to belt out a response.
The other thing that's starting to wear on me a little is the pausing for 18 minutes between every spoken phrase. I see that it runs in the family, because Note does it too.
That was not bad. I'm not sure why the epsiode was all about teacher Seo, but I sure didn't mind. I was disappointed we didn't get to see him change into that sweatshirt, but you can't have everything.
