"if so... would you die for me?" - Mafuyu the emotional charge of that scene made me cry in the anime and now…
Is that what he said? I assume the gist of that was "then go kill yourself". In English that translation (Would you die for me?) makes it an abstract question, like "if a car was going to run over me, would you push me out of the way and get hit yourself instead?" (Which is a very relevant question in BL - the death rate by being struck by cars is extremely high!)
I've been loving this series - but I found this last episode tiresome. Strings break constantly - it's an absolutely trivial problem, and it's inconceivable that nobody had any spares. There are compartments all over the intside of the guitar case specifically to hold them.
And the chances of a band going to final rehearsal without having heard the song they're playing is nil. No chance. This doesn't have to be totally realistic, but people still have to behave like people.
Why are we introducing all these new characters so late in the game? There's only one episode left! Do we care who this person Akihito is sleeping with is? There's only one episode left!
I'm getting tired of watching Mafuyu sulk, and I'm exhausted by nobody ever saying what they're feeling - the mood of this is too dark with no relief. There's no shadow without light.
I don't mind being aggravated by an ep - if it produces an emotional reaction, it's working. But this was aggravating because it was tiresome and boring and every time an ad came on I considered just closing the tab.*
*And before anyone says it, I don't use an ad blocker. If I turn it on, I'll forget and then not be supporting BLs that depend on ads.
Everybody is entitled to their opinion, negative or positive. If you can't handle that, keep on scrolling, no…
No, it's a discussion forum where we express our opinions, Everyone here is pro LGBTQ+ and in favor of more representation in maintream media. How many homophobes do you think are reading this? This is not a commercial, and it's not a political party. If you can't stand opinions that are different from yours, why are you here? And why do you get to judge what's "Responsible" and what's not? Or what's "toxic" and what's not? It's a lot more toxic to criticize actual human being like you're doing here than it is to criticize points about a piece of light entertainment.
Finally someone who has said it. I also felt that people's comments towards ait and James are harsh. I think sometimes…
I think people are hating on the characters - nobody has said they're bad actors. But I have been pretty astonished at the level of hostility toward Ait & James. Last ep James directly threatened Tee if he ever touched Bas again, so one can't really say he hasn't done anything, and Ait has every reason to be upset - a person he considers a friend that he trusts betrayed him in an act that could have gotten both him and James fired - and he doesn't know where Bas is mentally & emotionally. Sometimes BL audiences expect perfection in their characters, and are totally unforgiving of any human flaws, as if any of them are pefect either.
I was afraid to watch that, but it was more or less OK, although that was an incredibly fast healing process. Then again, 6 inches of Marco goes a long way...
I think Marco could get someone pregnant with just his voice.
I can not say it is bad, it is not, but at the same time its bothered me (and maybe I'm wrong here) that a sexual…
Bas needed to feel loved. I don't have a problem with him wanting to do that. Marco probably shouldn't have, but anyone would be a bit revved up seeing Bas come out of the shower, and it might have set Bas of if Marco rejected him. Plus, I'm trying to imagine any scenario where Marco is in my bed and I don't touch him, and I can't see any. It isn't aloways going for ratings to have a love scene. That is a normal part of adult relationships. At least it felt like a real sex scene instead of the usual BL seme treating the uke like a delicate 19th c porcelain doll and gingerly putting him in a box.
What I thought was going too far was Bas being suddenly ready to take on Tee. I think it would take a lot more work to get him there.
But, with only six episodes, there's really not time for realism - Bas should spend a long period of time in a hospital under observation.
If it were so easy to restore a completely desperate person's self esteem, psychiatrists would have much less…
I suspect that the actor playing Marco can't drive - it would be cheaper to just use a car than to bother with a green screen. Or whatever that was.
Bas more or less told Marco what he was going to do, and 95/100 times, a person in that state behaves with a sense of peace and calm, not that level of emotion. It felt a little like a cry for help. Normally though, true, it's a little harder to heal someone than to just f@#$ them. If that were the case, it would be a lot more fun to be a psychologist.
But there's only 6 episodes, so there's no time to hospitalize Bas and wait six months for him to recover, so that's where we are...
What did you expect when the writer is Mame? -- Ja is still one of the hottest guys ever. Just fast forward till…
I thought there might at least be a plot, even if it were a bad one.
I'm not ashamed to admit that even after I gave up in the middle of this episode I still ff's through the rest of it in case of such an eventuality. And I'll probably do that for the rest of the eps.
Well, so far, the entire episode has been discussion about moving from Leo's gigantic palace into Leo's somewhat smaller gigantic palace. I still think they should sell one and use the proceeds to end poverty, or maybe replant the entire world's forests, but the rich gotta be rich. However, this is fantastically boring to watch. And now they're discussing consent issues. About hugs. And now Mr. Sleep With Anyone is acting like a 12-year old Victorian virgin again. This isn't cute. It's stupid. Are these college-aged men, or primary school kids?
And now Fiat is saying Leo's brother should act like a grown man, when he hasn't even once himself - in fact he says it because he's jealous of his bf's brother, who he's now whining about and hitting with a pillow.
Fiat is a horrible and seflish person, and there is no plot, just people talking about boring things and trying to be cute and failing miserably. To tons of silly sound effects. And now he's worried that Leo will think he's horny. Yes, if there's anything that will disappoint a 20-year old man, it's that someone wants to have sex with him.
I thought TT2 was terrible, but I at least made it through 2 eps - this I can't bear even that long.
This is a really great review, but 9.5 is not a "mixed review" rating, it's OMG THIS IS THE BEST THING EVER. (capitalized for humor). Maybe you're just much nicer than me, but I got 7-8 vibes from your review.
Essentially "Because the plot required it." It didn't really make much sense in the special episode either.
Yup - I think you answered your own question there! It's sort of like "Why didn't Romeo & Juliet just run away together instead of going for that extremely overcomplicated and dangerous plan that had a million things about it that could (and did) go wrong? [Sorry, spoiler alert]
I watched this again - it's pretty much Standard BL Plot #3, but it's really well-acted, which makes quite a bit of difference. I would like to study genetics so I can engineer a virus that will wipe out all fujoshis, but other than that, this is really cute and enjoyable.
Yes, they really like to draw this out as much as possible. Flashbacks have been problematic from Ep 1 and continue…
"Warm" as in "so angry I want to burn something down", or "warm" as in "aww, my heart is so happy and warm!"
I am getting a little exhausted by the way Nut pauses for 10 seconds between every word - it's OK sometimes, but it comes off as mannered when it's done too much. An occassional flashback is OK, but like you said, it's gotten to the point where it interrupts what I'm feeling about what is happening NOW, and if you're going to cast talented actors like this, trust them to convey what they're feeling!
And I'll point out, not one flashback to the sex, so I guess nobody's thinking about that.
He was betrayed by a good friends and outed, which is more than "some stuff" - he had his whole life and sense…
There's nothing wrong with Shinwoo - I like him and I want him to be the endgame. My point is that people are criticising Daon because he needed like a whole day to put his shattered life back together before he was ready to tell TK how he feels, and Shinwoo still hasn't. As for caring about TK, it was Daon who took him under his wing, made all his friends accept TK, and did everything he could to make him feel wanted and accepted - not least of which by Shinwoo - and socialized. Everyone has forgotten that - and this was while Shinwoo was saying he hated TK and wanted nothing to do with him. We know Shinwoo didn't really hate him and we know why he said it, altough his reasons are much, much weaker than Daon's and being actively mean to someone is a lot worse than being unable to confront them becausde your life just been destroyed. Everyone has been quick to forget what a total dick Shinwoo was at the beginning of the series, and not just for one ep.
It's fine to prefer Shinwoo to Daon, but it's really strange for anyone to have such total lack of sympathy for him (I'm not talking about you) and actively dislike him. There are a lot more people below saying they forgive Sohee than there are people with anything nice to say about Daon.
And just like that So Hee got her redemption. Ahh, what an adorable episode. Shin Woo is such a sweetheart. Da…
He was betrayed by a good friends and outed, which is more than "some stuff" - he had his whole life and sense of self upended. I don't see anything wrong with him wanting to start over. At least he can now say what he wants and feels. Shinwoo can't, and he needs to.
And the chances of a band going to final rehearsal without having heard the song they're playing is nil. No chance. This doesn't have to be totally realistic, but people still have to behave like people.

Just kidding - I'm looking forward to this one. And Gameplay.
