It was just sex? Not sure you're going to get a lot of people agreeing with you here. "It was just sex" has ended…
I totally agree in this circumstance - his bf didn't even acknowledge that he had a right to be upset. This guy is bad news and he needs to get away from him as he did.

Edit: after reading all the comments, I've decided to just rewatch the movie and thats it! Id rather be heart…
I didn't think IPYTM was as beautiful as ITSAY - to me it lacked the magic. It was still one of the best BLs of all time for me, but I haven't really thought about it since it ended, whereas ITSAY stayed with me a long time.

If you think about it, there are several iconic ITSAY scenes - the underwater kiss, inhaling the coconut-scented paper, the almost-sex scene - there's nothing quite like those in IPYTM. And I didn't think the ending of IPYTM was earned - why would Oh just do that after all Teh had done to him?

But with regard to this series, it's like comparing Beethoven's 9th and 7th Symphonies to a mariachi band. Except Mon (Nuea) - I'll bet he could easily carry the leading role of something ITSAY-quality.

If you don't want to be disappointed but want to see some great BL - watch the swimmer couple and Nuea & his tutor - those are both really good storylines and you can get through it in an hour or so.

Hide SpoilerThey killed Arm, the beautiful unconditionally loving Bas (ITSAY) character for NO REASON. THIS IS…
That poor actor just can't catch a break. I want to seem him play a villain and heap some hurt on everyone else for once. I don't think this director is happy unless someone dies.

OK can I just say that Nueas character arc in this series I thought was the best thing about it. And if I could…
Mon is possibly the best BL actor and easily the most underrated - or rather maybe he's unknown because I can't think of anyone ever having anything but a very positive reaction to him. I sat through this trainwreck for him. The swimmer brothers were really good too, adeptly conveying the awkwardness of that age.

But Mon is something special - and so f@#$ing cute, too. He's not nearly at his peak, either. In five years he'll be painful to look at. That smile already hurts.

Because someone who's opinion I have a high regard for said he liked this, I went back and watched the rest. I'm going to assume my friend had a minor stroke which killed his ability to see how horrible this is.

So a basketball player is incapable of descending four steps without injuring himself. Fiat is a terrible actor. I couldn't tell if he was crying or if he was cold. And is he never NOT crying? Is he eight years old? Are we supposed to feel sympathy for this horrible brat? Instead of throwing him out, couldn't Leo have strangled him to death? It would have been easy with that weird chain on his shirt. Nobody would care - heck, they'd probably throw a parade in his honor.

And, bridal-style carry. I knew there was a trope missing. But something is still lacking. Oh, right piggy-back carry. Check.

"Am I that hateful?" YES. Yes, you are. I hate you. Your father hates you. Jesus hates you.

And why are they acting like 12-year old virgins AFTER they've had sex? Speaking of which, 10 years of repressed longing, and THAT was the result? I would think it would be a little passionate.

I feel no chemistry. Or rather, I feel Leo, but he has chemistry with air, or a cement wall, or anything or lack thereof you can think of.

Amazing. I did not think that a jewel like So much in love could be beaten.Whole parts of this are totally nonsensical.…
I just sayin', this is no So Much In Love. This is dull and full of unnattractive actors. SMIL was a magnificent incomprehensible catastrophe full of hot guys.

Episode 1 was the absolute worst. And it went downhill from there.

Unfortunately, it's not the glorious disaster that was So Much In Love, which also at least had attractive guys in it. I don't want to "ugly-shame" anyone, because a man can be sexy without being conventionally attractive, but Captain Unibrow and a sweaty 40-year old with dual pinkeye are not doing it for me. To be fair, there was less sweating all-around this ep.

Also, is this a BL? So far 99% of it has been about straight couples.

Anyway, it's still better than Don't Say No.

I will continue watching...why? Cos I'm a sucker for low budget trashy shows. They are the real bl gems
Yeah, but this is no So Much In Love. When there have been two separate but unrelated ghosts, the guy from What the Duck, 8 different couples that show up, have sex, and are never seen again, and a school principal that wants to destroy a volleyball team for no apparent reason (although it may be related to her gay husband dying alone in Paris), then you can call me.

It depends on how long you've been together and the circumstances. Perhaps it's a social construct, but it's not that big a deal between two guys. If I were in a new relationship, it would be over. After 10 years, I'd be mad at his lack of respect for doing it in our bed (without me there watching) but probably forgive him.

Title Don't Say No
"Fiat is going totally crazy!" Yes, you know a college-age kid is out of control when he goes on a date and hold hands with someone and later sits quietly on a couch with his phone. To be fair, he was on a date with someone who looks like he's planning to rape and murder him, so there's that.

Is anyone ever going to play a sport where they don't hurt their leg? Thai BL boys all have skin like porcelain, but their bones are glass - whenever anything bumps into them, it's straight off to the hospital to wear a cast until it's not convenient to the plot. Also, the writer might consider a 5-minute consultation with someone who plays basketball so her dialogue doesn't make viewers burst out laughing. "I'll run over there, and you throw me the ball."

If anyone is acting like a crazy person, it's Leo, who seems like a psycho. How about if you call Fiat instead of canceling your vacation and rushing home weeks early on a tiny little plane because someone has a boo-boo on his knee? And why is he still wearing his overcoat? He was so worried that he left it on the entire flight and on the trip back from the airport in the 45 degree heat and 1,000 percent humidity? Speaking of which, how do manage to play basketball without sweating?

What 10-year old kid says things like "You have to love yourself blah blah blah?"

This whole episode was just... fake. I don't know how else to put it. There's nothing authentic or genuine about it. BLs always have an element of fantasy to them, and that's fine, but when people don't act like actual people, the story loses me.

When I was watching this, what felt like a breath of fresh air was Fiat eating that cake, because I really felt that a real person really loved a piece of cake - it made me smile. But I could only enjoy if for a second, because the moment you could see some cream on his lip, you knew Leo would materialize to wipe it off, because that happens in every single BL - EVERY SINGLE TIME anyone eats ANYTHING.

I actually hated this, and I couldn't get through it. It's a mindless bag of tropes and poor writing. It actualy made me feel tense and angry to watch. I think I need to give up on BL - maybe someday someone will write something original and not rehash the same story over and over.
On Why Love Why Season 2 Jul 4, 2021
The technical problems were a little disappointing - for some reason Filipino BLs seem to have an almost universal problem with sound - I'm not sure what's going on there.

The story seems a lot more shallow than the first season's but if the boys are going to be naked and all over each other I won't object to that.

They seem to be camping it up even more this season, which is also fine - but I'm worried about the maid - if she's just a fujoshi I'll get over it, but if she's yet another female villain it will drive me away quickly. First, she's not a very good actress, and second, they consumed way too much time with her and the exec admin. The admin character I'm OK with - I liked the way he was bullying Benjo.

Carl is sooo hot - and Johnrey looks way better this season than last - maybe it's the hair & glasses.

I completely agree with this. It needs to be more OTT and just a slapstick comedy. I think that would be the best…
Boat's body and face have carried me fairly far. His acting is good too - I'd like to see him in something better than this.
On Hometown's Embrace Jul 4, 2021
I didn't love Ep 3. It didn't make too much sense, and X's acting was a bit off - His reaction to You Know What was more like "Why did you just f#%^ that cat?" rather than what a normal human reaction would be.

The product placement is a little carried away too. Still, no engineers, no accidental kisses, and no trip/catch/stare, so I'm happy. The first two eps were really good, so hopefully we'll return to form next week.

Mon is one of the finest BL actors I’ve seen. Wow.
He's pretty close to the top for me. He's very talented and really commits to his roles - he's had some fairly intense love scenes and he was all in. And he's so cute - he's going to be lethal in about 5 years.

I think it was they have no idea how to be lovers TO EACH OTHER. Taking that step from being lifelong friends…
I think you're right - the statement is a little overdramatic for boys and sounded strange - or maybe it's the translation.
