I watch the scenes with the main characters and skip everything else and find it enjoyable There are way too many characters and most of them aren't connected, so you can skip ythem and not miss anything
This is very stupid drama for sure, but I still enjoy it, lets face it: most of BL's are stupid, something good…
I guess it isn't really fair to compare a Japanese show to a Thai show - but the Thais have proved they can do 1st rate when they set their minds to it, they just don't seem to want to set their minds to it very often.
https://youtu.be/LtPnVGU8q2kI guess it's not impossible to solve Rubik's Cube without looking :)
OK, maybe "not ENTIRELY shallow" is more humanizing. I can be entirely shallow for about 2 weeks, but if he doesn't have a brain it won't go much longer than that.
Gun's acting is probably passable for a support role, but it may have been a risk to cast him in lead. Well see…
Oh, we're the worst - no doubt about that. But in general the cities are more progressive and the rural areas less so.
Thai BL is stuck on adapting formulaic novels that are basically mediocre fan fiction - until they start drawing from better sources it's all going to be the same.
I do like one-couple shows - I'm OK with a secondary couple if they're integral to the plot and not just thrown in to have a secondary couple - or if they're comic relief but don't chew up too much run time. But in Top Secret In Love, I'm constantly asking "Who ARE these people?!?" There are at least 5 couples and I can't see what they have to do with each other.
It's not really the highest BL on my list either but its alright. You just have to keep in mind its origin which…
Oh, that is really wonderful - I didn't know any of that about the game thing - that explains a lot - thank you.
Usually the rating drifts down, but it's actually risen - that's what provoked my question, but what you said makes sense. Thanks for the explanations.
For what are you being so condescending man. Do i think it deserves its rating? Nah, course not (gaya sa pelikula…
Can you point to where I said everyone who enjoys the show has bad taste? I made a point of saying that I'm sincerely asking the queston because I don't understand and want people to tell me so that I do understand. I also don't understand how you are taking it so personally that I don't like something that you do, to the point that you need to be rude.
I totally get that people like different things - and I wouldn't even ask the question if this had an 8 rating - but an 8.9 is much higher than Gaya Sa Pelikula - I don't see how that's possible, hence my question.
I like it because I actually find it funny. Taekyung's internal dialogue and basically anything Daon (edit: Siwoon)…
Those are good points. That boy's skin puts porcelain to shame. I would love to be able to see his forehead, though!
What's really surprising is the rating. If it had an 8 I wouldn't even ask the question. Sometimes we just like things. I watched Cupid Coach & Brothers. I enjoyed them both, but I recognized they were not really very good and I would never in a million years think either deserved an 8.9 - it's completely mystifying.
because not everything in life is about deeper meaning. Some lighter mood is needed. if you are bored then do…
Is there any reason why people need to take it personally if someone doesn't like the same things they do? There's no crusade - it's simply that I can usually tell why people like something even if I don't - here I can't at all, so I asked. Maybe I'm missing something and someone can change my perspective.
Gun's acting is probably passable for a support role, but it may have been a risk to cast him in lead. Well see…
They seem stuck somewhere between taking themselves seriously and having fun with tropes - but it's not OTT enough, so it just feels like a checkist of tropes. trip/fall/catch? Check. Authomatic vomiting and memory loss from having a drink? Check. Etc.
That photo made me laugh so hard. There was a Vietnamese series where the actor's first scene was in brownface, and then someone gave him the whitening cream that was sponsoring the series, and after that he was his normal pale color. That would result in whole cities being burned if anyone did that in the USA, so I could only stare with my mouth hanging open.
Can someone explain to me WHY they like this? I'm not being sarcastic, I'm genuinely curious, because this is the most boring BL I've watched so far. It's about guys in their mid to late 20s half-heartedly (except Da On, who is giving it his all) pretending to be high schools students who just spent an entire episode talking about cleaning a room.
There's no chemistry between the leads, and one of them is childish an unpleasant. The other is likeable but really dull. The plot makes no sense - why is everyone in the school (except one person) so keen to befriend the new guy, including the most popular boy, who wants to be his best friend after knowing him for one day?
This is the highest rated BL on MDL. It doesn't seem possible. Better than ITSAY or Where Your Eyes Linger?
So its not just me feeling something a miss like its good and interesting but i cant put my finger on whats missing,…
If I were to hazard a guess, I'd say it's that there is nothing whatsoever interesting about the story (this entire episode was about cleaning a room), the plot makes no sense (why do all these people care so much about the new guy? The most popular boy in school wants to be his best friend?), there is zero chemistry between the main pair, or any chemistry between any characters, and the cast is obviously not really into it, but then who in their late 20s would be interested in acting in a series about mopping floors and dumping out the recycling at a high school?
I'm actually here taking a break with give minutes to go because I was falling into a coma. There are going to be a lot of people pissed off who watch this because it has an 8.9 rating, quite a bit higher than ITSAY...
