Can someone tell me why did they add a female character? because I thought the school was an all boys school?…
According to the synopsis she will be jealous of two boys' relationship and try to drive them apart. BL writers excel at original thinking. Actually that's not fair. I'm pretty sure there's only one BL writer and she's being held prisoner and being forced to add pathetical comical screeching ladyboys, toxic females, accidental kisses, and the thing where someone trips, is caught by someone else, and they stare at each other until they turn gay. You can never have enough trip/catch/stare/turn gay.
was that a dildo that shinwoo dropped!?!?!?! can someone explain to me or tell me if I'm crazy or not please for…
Yes, it's incredibly common for people to trip while carrying a dildo and accidentally shove it up someone's ass. The angles are just right for something like that to happen every single time. In fact I would venture to say that it's almost impossible NOT to accidentally shove a dildo up someone's ass, just as it's impossible to chop vegetables without cutting your finger, shave without nicking yourself, or cross a street without being run over by a white van (or rescued at the last moment by someone you don't like. Or didn't, until he pulled you out of the way in such manner that your faces end up close together and you stare awkwardly at each other until you turn gay).
I couldn't get through it - too boring , unoriginal, and poorly written. First, an introvert is not someone who has gotten to HS and doesn't know how to make friends. Second, and introvert isn't someone who is incapable of emotional expression. There is not one single thing that is unique or original in this, and even worse, It's all "tell, don't show:." If you need one character to explain to another what the personalities of the other characters are like, you've already failed Writing 101. If he's supposed to be on the autism spectrum, then the writing is even worse.
So, it's an all-boys school with only one girl attending just so she can be the villain of the story? Does the school have a toxic female scholarship? On the other hand, it's well-known that all men would be gay if there weren't an evil female breaking everyone up, so they serve an essential role in preserving the human race.
We really need to say to actors that an introvert is not someone who doesn't have any emotions or facial expressions…
It's irritating, isn't it? I'm guessing whoever wrote this is an extrovert. Or at least whoever directed it. Or maybe the actor had a stroke and is incapable of facial expression. Or had lots and lots of botox.
This was so much better than I was expecting - I thought there would be no way they can match the original, but I actually prefer this version. By quite a bit.
First, the boss is so funny that it added a whole new level to the show - if you remember, the Japanese boss was just sad - old and lonely. The HK boss is deliciously, confidently creepy. Tin is still a useless man-boy, but he's more appealing than Haruta, who was so awful that you weren't sure you really wanted to ship him with Maki.
Tin's hair is a character in itself - and I actually think Edan Lui is better at crazed facial expresions and screaming than Tanaka Kei, and I think the chemistry between the leads is better.
I wish they hadn't de-aged all the characters 10 years, but I know they need to appeal to the BL audience.
Sorry but nope... only one man can play the male lead in this one and thats "Tanaka Kei" unless they change the…
To be honest, the HK version is considerably better. The boss is hysterical, the main character is funnier, and the editing and pretty much every other aspect of the production is superior. I thought it would be a sad shadow of the Japanese version, but I was pleasantly surprised.
I think you can pretty much be sure that they're not the second one, and if the first, what difference does it…
I said I know it's time to drop it, not that I actually do! :) It has to be really, really bad for me to give up. This is not nearly there for me, so I'm in to the end!
I think you can pretty much be sure that they're not the second one, and if the first, what difference does it…
Got it. I'm certainly not going to criticize someone for not liking tropes. For me, it's non-specific - I get increasingly annoyed as the quantity of tropes in a serioes rises to a point that my eyes are permanently rolled into the back of my head, when I know it's time to drop it.
Sorry, right. I was wondering why I couldn't find it. What you say is true - but that was such a beautiful moment, and it took a lot of props, so I thought it might show up.
I think they are a cute couple but I find all of their scenes very contrived.
Apparently. I'm all for hiring LGBTQ+ actors for LQBTQ+ roles, but this is just marketing for their monetization of their love, and an attempt (which worked, so maybe my criticism is misplaced) to attract viewers to this series by leveraging their fanbase. There' s nothing wrong with wanting to see a series because you like the actors - we all do it, but they're not actors and they're not acting. Sorry. I might be in a bad mood or something. :)
Yeah, the fujoshi sister seems a tad bit off her rocker to say the least, and the way she AND her brother set…
True - but I'm burnout on BL and cutting loose the shows that are just formulaic rehash that aren't enjoyable to watch. When a leisure outlet starts to feel like work, then it's time to find something else to do.
That was very difficult to get through. First, it sufferes from terrible "tell, don't show". Characters almost invariably tell the audience what they're thinking instead of just acting. For example, Andrei comes home and had stilted dialogue with his dad then goes inside. His dad says to himself, "My handsome son is studying, which makes me happy." He could just smile proudly instead of speaking such a weird and unnatural line. The whole ep is like that.
Sef is supposed to be the bad boy picking on Andrei, but he's just a little cocky and Andrei is really harsh and rude to him, so that dynamic is off. Also, the writers have a strange idea of what a "cool kid" is. Marching around like idiot posers is silly, not cool.
Again, trans characters are there only to be comic relief and behave like coked-up drag-queens rather than people.
I want to support small independent productions, but this is unwatchable. There is nothing original in it, the acting is poor, the writing downright bad, it's technically weak, although the cinematography isn't bad, and it's boring.
I love this series - so well written and acted. Especially given the limited setting, the cinematography is great. I could do without the BL-trope "triple-take" wheneve anything emotionally important happens (like the handshake) which is cheesy beyond belief and destroys the impact of the moment, but that overhead shot of them lying in the living room was beautiful.
Kudos to the screenwriter. I love conversation pieces, and this one generally comes up with trumps. Very well-acted…
Of oourse the subtitler is aided somewhat by 75% of the dialogue being in English, but it is extra smooth nevertheless. :) This series deserves a lot higher than a 7.7. I love watching Dran gradually chip away John's wall. Although John's not easy to understand as there's no chance I'd be able to keep my hands off Iyo for 14 days. Probabably not even 14 minutes. Or seconds.

Yes - it's a "slice-of-life" that's cute in a vlog - but a BL is a drama that needs to have, well, drama and plot. It's nice to see characters interact naturally for a minute here and there, but that's part of setting the scene and characterization and serves a purpose. There are already four thousand characters in this series so there's not a lot of time to spent on two that do nothing except do cutesy things together, which is not very cute when obviously scripted.
I think you can pretty much be sure that they're not the second one, and if the first, what difference does it…
I find it weird if they grew up together, but if they just met I don't see what's any different than any other two people meeting. Although in this case I'll grant it's pretty weird and dark because Simai is under the impression that Lukmo is blood-related.
What you're describing is a "casting call". "Casting" just means selecting actors to match the roles, for example, not a 27-year old playing a high school kid. If they had a desire to feature a specific popular pair, there are literally thousands of scripts they could have written that didn't involve high school kids, but the mainstream Thai BL industry is so mired in mindless formulaicism that nobody has the imagination to venture beyond the same old story recycled endlessly.
Also, I didn't realize you represent what the entire fandom wants, but it must be big burden for you to have to take on that responsibility. You might use your telepathic connection with them to explain what "burnout" is and how a genre can get killed off by losing all it's energy to repeating itself until everyone loses interest. Judging by the declining ratings, that's already happening.
