A lot of people below are commenting that the situation is irredeemable and unfixable, and I have to disagree - in a long-term relationships you will make mistakes and you will develop feelings for other people. We're all flawed, and we all do stupid and hurtful things. We all learn from our failures more than our successes. Without forgiveness, we would all die alone.
However, not this early in a relationship. Problems like this shouldn't happen before you even hit 3 years. There is something fundamentally wrong - even the fact that Teh didn't even try to hide his feelings in front of Oh is a problem - it didn't even occur to him, and that he didn't or couldn't is telling. Even if he'd been completely honest and open it could have gone better. Everything Oh said was 100% right.
If they had been together for 10 years, it could be repaired. Even if they'd remained friends uninterrupted since childhood it could be repaired.
Next week we'll see if this is a BL or a gay drama. If it's a BL, the resolution will go one way. If it's a gay drama, it will go another.
And people still think Teh loves Oh.How? He confessed his feelings to Jai when his boyfriend sitting next door. He…
The kiss in the car was meant to contrast with the other one. I actually thought it was a little too "on the nose" - the contrast didn't need to be THAT stark. It needed to be less, but not so much less that he wasn't even trying at all.
Maybe we're too conditioned by BL and ANY kiss seems like a big deal since it almost never happens.
I don’t know but as I watched this I felt somewhere along the line someone forgot that these are young college…
I meant it feels like their relationship had largely died even before the series started due to their lives going in different directions and perhaps they are not all that compatible - the distance was obvious from the first ep. I do like characters to be flawed and make mistakes - but this doesn't feel like college - it feels like jaded 30-year olds. Remember what a delightful weirdo Teh was in ITSAY? Here's he's kind of a boring self-absorbed jerk.
It's well-acted, well-written, well-everythinged, but is it enjoyable to watch? For many people who were expecting a sequel to ITSAY, maybe not.
I'm finding it hard to get through this ep a it's so stressful to watch. I'm 10 minutes in and taking a break - Teh is outside the studio psyching him self to go inside, empty but for Jai.
EDIT: 13.5 minutes in and need another break.
Everything about this is excellent - but watching it feels like a duty rather than a pleasure - it's just so bleak. ITSAY had it's darkness too, but there was always a sense of wonder about it and Teh's tendency to cry insanely about everything was weird, cute, and funny. They were young and stupid (or at least Teh was - I think Oh has always been more mature than Teh).
Here it's like they've died as a couple and we're watching the corpse decay.
short eps can work if they're structured like short eps. These are not, so they feel like half of a longer ep, and that makes them feel way to short and unsatisfying, especially if nothing major happens like this week.
The straight couple are totally unnecessary to the story and just take up time.
Anyway, I do like the series, but I wish I'd not started it until it had fully aired.
It's funny how tastes differ. For me, the order is Peter (by far), Net, Boss/Sun (tie). They're all attractive,…
Also, the captive scene. They managed to flashback to it at least once an episode, but I don't mind. I'm looking forward to seeing him in What Zabb Man!

I know, but actual experience should matter too - in both the East and West, nobody is ever going to run into an acfual ghost, and that should color how rational people think about the subject - and 99.9% of BL characters are urban university students who group up in a thoroughly modern world.
Also, while it's true that mainline Christian dogma posits an immediate destination for the soul, that's not necessariy what people believe - a very popular and long-running show here was Ghost Hunters, where actual people are actually purporting to track real ghosts.
Plus, the Philippines is a Catholic country and in Korea Christianity is tied with Budhhism in adherents - and while there is some syncretism, there is in the West too - half of our believe were absorbed from Paganism, e.g. Christmas is an appropriation of Winter Solstice celebrations, and angels, saints, and demons are largely Christianized pagan deities & spirits.
I only ask the question because fear of ghosts - and ghosts - are so ubiquitous in BL that it often feels formulaic (although it didn't feel that way in this ep). And it's generally played for comedy.
Cinematographer: "Would you like incredibly long unnecessary and awkward staring at each other with no dialog, stupendously long unncessary and awkward staring, or cosmically long unncessary awkward staring?
Director: "Let's do all three."
Even on 2x the scenes take forever. Does the production company get paid by the minute or sometghing? To be fair, the staring was broken up by a 5-minute scene of a girl sleeping as reflected in her mirror.
And that ending happened. I guess I should be grateful nobody was run over by the white truck of death.
Rolling my eyes dramatically... They better make it original or else they'd lose me partway... the trailer was...…
Same reaction here. I was OK until the "I'm not gay, I only like you" thing. It's the only trope more tired than engineers. If the bodyguard guy leaves his shirt off a lot I'll probably watch it because I'm shallow.
Wow. This is a bl series? No. In a bl series you get a kiss (or rather a fake kiss) at the end of the final episode.…
The blowjob in itself didn't bother me, other than they were doing it wrong (with both guys standing? Was his penis 3 feet long?) - it's just that it was the only thing that happened other than people having strange and unnatural conversations. Or rather rotely reciting lines with no emoting whatsoever. That it followed a barely comprehensible conversation about not being ready - so he's ready to give his bf a bj but not ready to receive one? OK, so there had to be one guy on the planet with that attidude and I'm glad they were able to find him...
The title is "Lust Never Lasts", so there needs to be sex, but there also needs to be, well, lust, otherwise what's the point? Did anyone get the slightest hint that they were interested in doing that? Contast that with Y Destiny 11, where I was on the verge of spontaneously combusting whenever they were even in the same room.
In Filipino, chinito is usually used positively. It refers to attractive or cute Filipino-Chinese (or Chinese…
In the context of California culture, it's neutral - it depends on how you use it. It's vaguely racist though, so it's probably best avoided, but in our cultural context there's a history of discrimination against people of Chinese ancestry (they were shipped in as railroad workers and then not particularly welcomed to stay. But fortunately they did, which is a big reason we have such a good food scene).

That's so strange. I get the supernatural connection in the countryside where your existence depends on natural forces and harmony with them an, but city people seem to be even more terrified of ghosts. At least in BL! It's always ghosts of dead people, too, not any other type of supernatural being.
Darn. Ep 11 was one of my favorites of all, but 12 was a disappointment. 90% of it was flashbacks to things we just saw - sometimes literally a minute ago - and the other 10% was people talking really, really slowly. There was no more than 5 minutes of content.
It's weird that when he was 11, "adult" things were happening, but when he was 18, everything was an 11-year old girl's fantasy. I mean, he could at least have given Choke another handjob. BTW, who cleaned up the mess after that first one? They both acted like they didn't remember it, but the evidence would have been, well, evident.
Anyway, ep 11 score: 9.5. Ep 12 was a 6. The chemistry between these two is the best I've ever seen - I really, really, really want to see them again.
OMG, that was so good! Thre budget is low, but the quality isn't - and there's obviously so much love put into this.
The boys act like boys and the interaction is so natural and unforced. Mon was cute in previous productions, but he's become gorgeous - plus a great actor. Oak is never going to be conventionally handsome, but he's so endearing and really maintains character beautifully throught the story.
You rarely get to see a BL set in a rural setting - and this one is unsanitized and authentic.
Are Asians really that scared of ghosts? Or is that just a BL trope?
