I found it offensive, but it depends if they tackle that issue in later episodes. So far it seems they will with…
I think I'll wait for more episodes to come out and then check back - it's hard for me to have any faith in GMMTV and it's harder for me to put up with things like this after ITSAY.
I don't know what to make of Episode 4: Fill in the Blanks. This episode dealt with the aftermath of last week's…
Are you being held prisoner somewhere and forced to watch terrible BLs? If you need rescue, give some sort of signal. Maybe say "Amore is the best BL of all time", and I'll know there's a gun to your head.
Did Jim break up with his girlfriend... because if not WTF?
You can't help how you feel. You can only help what you do. He hasn't done anything - to Yana. Reserving Ben for himself is doing something to Ben, and it's bad.
It certainly does. I couldn't get through an episode of the deeply homophobic and unevolved Tonhon Chonlatee (I haven't seen anything that cringey in a while) after ITSAY. This is at least not homophobic, but it's boring as f#$%. The actors aren't bad, but they're definitely not bringing their a-game to this project. To be fair, they're doing about as well as anyone could with this limp and passionless script and production.
so, to recap: during the first season people who were either too young to be watching this kind of stuff in the…
It's boring and bland because it's not well shot, directed, edited, written, or acted. Witty bickering would be fun, but not this. It's not the santization that's the problem, it's the lack of any passion at all in this project. I didn't have high expectations either, but this falls way below even that low bar.
Besides the audio and subtitle issues, my thoughts:1. I am not a fan of Type still bopping Techno on the head…
I'm not enjoying this at all. Even the shower scene last ep seemed contrived and it was a bad ripoff of the car scene in Titanic. This feels like everyone's in it for the money.
I agree with your points, but I'm not even sure about #3. It's like they're just going through the motions. Maybe it's bad directing. Anyway, they're not acting like adults who have been together for a long time - I don't see that their characters have evolved at all. So disappointing.
I think the enjoyment of all BL or even all romance, is the chase. Once the main couple come together and weather…
There are too many BLs that are far better than this and only so many hours in a day. The sequel has failed to capture the magic of the original and this feels like a waste of time. Everything about the production is inferior, even the acting - this is just a cash-grab exploiting us. Also, I don't see why it matter if the actors are friends or not - they don't have to like each other as long as they act their parts well. I'm certainly not going to invest 12 hours of time just because of that.
The hard on scene was so funny and refreshing for a gmmtv BL series. I like how Khao’s character is gay. BL…
It's really not. As usual, the effeminate character is predatory and ridiclous. I don't see how that is remotely evolved.
Also, it most certainly is about gender since one of the main characters is homophobic and can't conceive of a man being with a man. And he was constantly criticizing behavior that isn't "manly", and Chon was desperate for Ton not to discover he's gay.
Even his mother tells him he should behave like a man because he's not a girl. This show is homophobic and heteronormative.
I'm really struggling to understand what you're saying here. Although I agree it was refreshing that they've loosened the prudery and let a guy get a hard-on.
Are none of you bothered by the femphobia? Again, our main characters are straight-acting played by straight actors, and the effeminate gay is predatory and ridiculous. This is really offensive .
In my perfect world it would be JimXOlan. (I, personally, hate Ben.) But since I KNOW that isn't an option, I'm…
I agree with you. I would love it to be Jim X Olan, but not going to happen. I like Olan too much to condemn him to a relationship with a selfish, whiney narcissist, but at least then Olan would be onscreen more.
Is this series purposely making us dislike Jim and instead ship Ben with Olan? Because I don't like Jim at all.…
I'm the opposite - I can't stand Ben. Jim is confused, but that's not really a reason to dislike him - almost all of us are confused at first, and I can't help but sympathize. But I totally agree about Ron Angeles. He should be the lead in all the BLs.
He confessed rather romantically twice at the table - one with 2 truths & lie, the second with the song.
The rating for ITSAY is about right (9.5), but I'm learning to ignore the scores. Maybe 8.7 would work on a scale of 1 to 100.
