I liked how it was implied that Yoon Se Won is going to die. It made me sad!
The first season was perfection, but this one also has a special place in my heart. It has many great moments, but one of my favorites is when Shi Mok asked Kang Won Cheol for a favor in the beginning, and Kang Won Cheol pointed out to him how easily that could turn into a scenario of scratching each other's backs. That's how corruption starts, and he can also be capable of it without even realizing. He is human too. I love their interactions. From season 1 to season 2, I think Kang Won Cheol has been influenced by Shi Mok for the better, and even at the end he made that important decision, and was still reflecting on his past mistakes.
I'll be the odd one and say season 1 was better, but it was mostly because I'm disappointed they ended the season…
Season 2 wasn't as exciting from the beginning. I watched season 1 twice( once when it came out, and again before season 2) and I was glued to the screen both times. For the first half of this season I kept drifting off lol. The second half was pretty exciting. I am actually ok with the end. It might seem underwhelming but it's also life. Things happen that might have big impact and it is expected that things will change, but after it's over people move on and it's back to normal reality. 2 steps forward, 1 step back ; )
I was so happy to see the Police Director give Yeo Jin respect at the end, and her small smile made my day. I thought it was depressing for her to end up in that office where she would be ostracized. I think they would treat her differently now, thank goodness.
Season 1 was a lot more gripping from the beginning, but season 2 eventually picked up steam. Really hoping for a season 3. Seo Dong Jae is an interesting character, and I want to see how his experience has changed him, or if it has. Of course, I want to see more of Yeo Jin and Shi Mok. His smile at the end was such a beautiful tease. Come on, season 3!
I believe it's the puppet drug, purple pill of rot. The more he is in love the more he suffers and more he becomes…
Yeah, I've also just finished. The ending was nice, but really leaves you wanting more. Hoping for season 2, but I realize how these things work, especially with Chinese drama. You are right, If I hold my breath I may die :')
I've never seen Su Fu as a bad person, despite his line of work, but from ep 34, wow, he has changed a lot
I believe it's the puppet drug, purple pill of rot. The more he is in love the more he suffers and more he becomes a puppet. I feel bad for him, but not bad enough to ship him with Fox. She and Xiao Fish belong together.
Some of the cases weren't that interesting, and some flaws here and there. The ending felt a bit rushed and the battle at the end was a bit ott, but all in all, it was an enjoyable drama. I adored Xiao Fish and Little Fox to the moon and back. The bromance was on point too. We Fiiiinally got a kiss at the end, but so much spinning made me dizzy. Season 2? I really hope so!
Great ending! Sort of happy ending but it was messed up that the emperor still bend on separating them despite…
I really hated him. A useless character that had no mind of his own, unless it was punishing innocent people that actually helped him. Then he was ridiculously stubborn.
I disagree. Sure there are some people who would do the same wrong thing that had been done to them, but I think there are plenty of irl people who wouldn't want to go down that same road. Dong Hoon has his own flaws, but he handled his marriage problem maturely because that's the kind of righteous dude he is. To remain patient and kind, stick to his own principles(even tries to understand) after being treated unfairly many times over is what makes him admirable, and it's who he has always been. I think it was in keeping with his character that he behaved this way, which is why it was realistic within this drama.
On a side note, there was pureness in Ji An and Dong Hoon's relationship that would have been sullied if they used his wife's infidelity as an excuse to do what they want. I am glad the writer chose to keep their relationship beautiful, or I couldn't have loved this drama so much.
I don't know if I am exaggerating or not , but it seems that lots of you guys don't care much about instrumental…
If the bgm is not great/doesn't add anything I might not notice it specifically. Maybe just a general feeling of something missing. However, when it's good, will remember it distinctly. I like that you said it gives "soul" to the show. Very true.
Heard about the comments section, so came to have a peak. Wowza. I had very little interest in watching this but now I think I must. I am just so darn curious to find out where I am gonna fall in liking/disliking this show.
They really hit it out of the ballpark with this one. I just wish there were more episodes. Watched this in one sitting. I was squealing so much I almost forgot to breathe, but would happily suffocate in the cuteness.
