I think it was in ep 5 when Qiao An said " Even if I couldn't have saved him, I could have died with him." This really struck me because you can tell that Qiao An really hasn't been living since that day. She has just buried herself in work and alcohol because she couldn't deal with the guilt she had for not being with her son at the time, and for surviving without him. A parent shouldn't have to bury their child.
This drama was riveting, but sometimes hard to watch. It just felt so real. The acting was phenomenal, as was the writing. It really makes you think about the way society views and judges mental health issues.
This drama was just okay-ish. I can't really say I enjoyed it. I felt like the romance was trying so hard to be epic, and it failed. I only finished it because I find it too hard to drop a drama after I have finished half/more than half the episodes. The one good thing I can say is that the actors all did a decent job. I most enjoyed watching Kim Bum as Rang. I thought he was a bit annoying at first but he had great character development.
It could have been a better drama but the romance was stifling .Yeon not being really dead was no surprise since…
I feel the same way. The best part of this drama for me was the character development of Rang and his bonding with his family. The fact that he finally had a will to live at the end made his death even more of a punch in the gut. I didn't really care that much if the main leads had a sad ending. Maybe it would have been different if I was able to feel the romance. Their great romance seemed kind of forced.
I was going to say I liked it but did not love it. Not because of the cast nor the acting, but because of the…
Even though I had suspected the illness, the result was a punch in the gut that I didn't see coming. Glad it didn't actually happen, but there is still a bitter taste in my mouth. I really can't believe the writers chose to end it like that. One of the worst endings I have ever seen, and it could have been so much better. Glad you didn't hurt your laptop. It's not his fault the writers went off the rails. I agree the cast was great, as was the music. I actually really enjoyed the whole drama until the last few eps. It does have cliches and holes but it didn't bother me because it was just such a heartwarming drama. At least until the y ruined it. What a waste.
It was so good up until the end. Why they gotta do us dirty like that? I still don't know what to think about the ending. I was crying my eyes out the last half of the last episode and pissed that we'd been robbed of a happy ending that goes hand in hand with a rom-com. Never imagined it would turn into a melodrama. When I saw Jun walking to Lala land at the end I was so relieved, yet I couldn't be completely happy since they had tricked us again. WTF. I can't believe that Jun would let everyone grieve for his death for five freaking years. Wasn't the purpose of him not telling them about his illness so they wouldn't be sad and worried? It doesn't make sense for the Jun we know and love to pull this crap. Ugh.
Whoa, Chen An's girlfriend is batsh*t crazy. The deeper I get into this show the less I feel like I know what's going on lol. That shady group of friends is saying Chen An isn't as good as Qing Zhou thinks, and that was just his mask. Who is right? If the diary is full of lies, then what is the purpose of writing a false account and hiding it away...Really curious who was the murderer that night. Could be Chen An's girlfriend. I could see her killing someone without batting an eyelash.
This drama is amazing! I am on the edge of my seat and cannot stop watching. One of the best dramas and ost of the year. There are a couple of things I don't get though . On ep 8 and I don't know why they don't exhume the body and see if the DNA matches Chen An...rather than going on a wild goose chase to find someone who is presumed dead.
I don't think it's likely that Chen An is alive unless Qing Zhou's memory of her brother is not accurate. He was her protector, so I doubt he would stand by and watch his little sister put herself in so much danger time and again to get revenge for him. He is also not dumb enough to try and commit murder in such a careless way, as well as leave so much evidence behind. It's pretty obvious it's set up.
I am also kinda suspicious of the dr. guy. He barely knows her but he is willing to do all kinds of shady stuff for her. The person who Chen An is suspected of killing must have a family. I wonder if he is related to dr. in some way.
I am loving this drama to death! The wait for new episodes is a killer! I don't even know what I will do with myself when this is over *sad face* My only real gripe is the use of the ost. Don't get me wrong, I love the music, but sometimes I feel like a song is used at an inappropriate time or place. When it comes in, it is a bit jarring. The ost should complement the scenes, not distract from them. Has anyone else noticed this, or is it just me?
Stranger 2 is written through a deep and complex structure. EP1-6 is a structure that leads to a wonderful story.…
hmmm... That last bit sounds kind of condescending. I am not sure if that was your intention, but that's how it comes across to me. Not enjoying does not equal not understanding.
I agree that the structure at the beginning of this drama leads to a great story, but I can understand why people find it boring. I have to admit I was also quite bored at times. Not everyone enjoys watching people standing around talking the whole time. When the show started connecting the dots, and I remembered some details from last season that gave more significance to happenings in this season, my attention greatly increased. Sometimes subtle things like a look, a gesture, or just a few words can have a greater impact than the best action sequences. Even the soundtrack was used perfectly to help create the mood.
Season 2 wasn't as exciting from the beginning. I watched season 1 twice( once when it came out, and again before…
As we see, society and their place in it hasn't really changed, but we can see some subtle progress in some of the characters, and the influence they have had on each other. This is what has really made the drama for me, and probably why I am left feeling pretty satisfied with the ending.
I liked how it was implied that Yoon Se Won is going to die. It made me sad!
Absolutely! While season 1 was more thrilling overall, this second season made me think so much. I am still thinking about it, and probably will for a long time.
