I only watched this for the ML (Crazy Emperor from Fated Hearts).
The plot concept of both FL and SFL reborn with their memories and switching husbands was quite interesting.
FL was incredibly smart and badass which I loved. ML was likeable in a way “I-don’t-care-about-anyone-but-the woman-I-fall-for”.
The plot was a mix of family politics, arranged marriage and lots and lots and lots of scheming. While the scheming was done nicely, at some point it got too repetitive. The villains were total losers.
“Close your eyes”. GIRL don’t do this to your man. Even I was waiting for the kiss 😂 THEY ARE SO ADORABLE TOGETHER. My heart is melting while watching them 🥰🥰
This mini started off really well, male lead a killer and female lead trying to seduce him as part of her revenge plan. The mafia vibes were cool and so were the leads.
Up to episode 15 it was a fun watch but afterwards the writers totally lost me, and I started skipping scenes. Maybe if I had more patience I wouldn't have. But the ending was badly done, it's probably good I didn't spend too much time on this.
The way Lu Wuyi and Chi Wen/ Ji Ling have me on chokeholddddddd 💖🔥I’m obsessed with this couple, and the duality is chef’s kiss 👌🏼
I can’t believe I was so stressed and then cracking up at all the shenanigans Lu Wuyi pulled at the sect. And look at him smiling for the first time 😆😆

There has been barely any romance for idk how many episodes and I don’t even care!! Mind you, I’m all for romance. But the war plot is so freaking spectacular!! I’m crying then giggling then crying again.

I really enjoyed it. It’s a mini so of course it has its flaws and you should keep your expectations low. But if you are a hopeless romantic and like simple palace politics with some nice twists and turns, you might enjoy this.

Yes, yes, yes!! What a great review Lighter! We must be the rare ones that loved the ending, it was indeed brave storytelling as you said, it carried a painful yet beautiful message!
