Dreaming of a Freaking Fairytale (which is one of the other CJ ENM shows that was in the Paramount+ licensing deal) was just announced to be released on Paramount+ on September 26 which is 3 months AFTER it finished airing in Korea. If we use that as a reference, Queen Woo will release Part 2 on September 12 on TVING which means it will probably be released on Paramount+ in mid-December.
Please some tag me if you get to know about the OST release So wanna listen to Yeonjun’s full song
Spotify has Yeonjun as an individual artist. The song will show up there when they do release it. Also, the have a 'follow' button on every artist's page. That may notify you when they drop the song. https://open.spotify.com/artist/2Mo2yHjmrDRZW7yRuJwR2w
Does anyone know which streaming platform this will be streaming on in the US?
Not yet. It was going to be on Paramount+ but they ended their licensing deal with them so now it's up in the air. Paramount+ released their August schedule and Queen Woo is NOT on it.
junyoung seriously needs more romcom roles! i know he's got a thing for playing villains but this suits him so…
Lee Jun Young has actually done a string of romcoms and romance roles you can watch: Let Me Be Your Knight, Imitation, May I Help You, Please Don't Date Him.
KDRAMA SCARICTY: BARELY ANY NEW SHOWS TO CHOOSE FROM. In 2022, there were almost 300 kdramas released for the year. This year only about 70 kdramas have been released so far which is on track to be 140 kdramas released in 2024. THAT'S LESS THAN HALF THE AMOUNT OF NEW KDRAMAS!!! (You can see these stats using MDL's search tools.)
No wonder viewers can't find shows to watch anymore. Many Korean networks are no longer airing weekday shows because the ratings were so bad. There's shrinkflation by making less episodes and shorter episodes so viewers finish them sooner. I read an article that in 2023 there were almost a 100 kdramas produced that couldn't find a network or streaming platform to release the shows yet so there's less production overall in 2024 because of the backlog. With fewer shows, it gives viewers fewer chances to find something they might enjoy.
I find that someone said it will be also on hitv:https://www.gohitv.com; is it true?
Only legal sources that pay to license the show count as an official streaming platform. I can find no proof that HiTV is a legal platform. Weirdly, HiTV's only contact emails are random outlook and gmail accounts. They've deleted their Instagram and YouTube accounts (that are still linked to on their website) and haven't updated their Twitter account since June 2023 (aka more than a year ago). The app also requires access to the personal info on your phone (which they can then sell). Use at your own risk.
