I like the first two installments, but not this one, surprisingly. I feel like I was watching a story in a gameplay, like Tekken, because it was action after action. And then quiet scenes in between that involved emotions and dialogue but those didn't grip me. I just felt so detached from the whole plot, so I just didn't care for any of the characters. I don't know if I'm just not in the mood, but did anybody feel the same way?
Just depends which drama, but yeah, majority of dramas. A good example is the Day of Becoming You. The second ML, ML, and FL are civil and cool towards each other through and through, and the second ML even helped the couple find a solution to the body swap.
What was mean in that? So according to u just cause he was nice she must accept him or something? They were infact…
I never said that. I was referring to the writer and/or director when I said "they" and not the female lead. I was also talking about the treatment of the second male lead in this show just like the way the male lead just cut off Yi Yue and Ning Fang's conversation by pushing Yi Yue in the car and the way he brushed him off in episode 18. The whole scenario could have been handled differently, especially that Ning Fang never really showed any antagonistic attitude towards the male lead, and him and Yi Yue are old friends as well. Ning Fang was even being civil by asking Qiao Yan to talk seriously about Yi Yue, and he only really made moves when he knew they were about to terminate the contract. I'm not even rooting for for Ning Fang, but those actions just bothered me.
And btw, it's just a show, so we are all free to say our piece.
I always did for every drama except the long ballad where the 2nd couple actually won my heart over the main couple.…
Kdramas second couples can either be good or tolerable but rarely dislikable like Cdramas. Jdoramas second couple always have interesting arcs as if they're lead couples as well. Jdoramas just know how to balancr the plot and screentime for lead and second couples.
Dele is truly an underrated masterpiece. One should have a deeper appreciation for what's unique and unknown such as death and the complexity of both the unapproved and approved ideals and lifestyles of humans. Just like what was mentioned here in this article, it can be pretty depressing, but if you can find the beauty in loneliness or just at least have the mentality to try to understand it, this is one of those shows that will leave a deep impression on you. It just makes you reassess or question your perception of our society.
If you are used to watching Jdoramas, some of them require for you to come with an open-mind, and this is one of those.
Watch episode 9 to see how badass and sassy our female lead is when she fights back against the second female lead. The scene perfectly describes it: BOSS.
I was left with a void after watching Rational Life, but this is kind of filling it in. I think Rational Life has a tighter script but this one is not so bad with its leads' personalities and thoughtful dialogues. I agree with the comment below about this drama being a good slice-of-life plot.
Dancing!?!? More like jumping around haha. I can't even bear to look at them. It's just too much lol.
Bless you for even watching them. I got second hand embarrassment from the cheesiness and playing the theme song just made it worse. IT RUINED MY IMAGE OF OUR MALE LEAD HAHAHA.
