i wish i had amnesia or something.. having watched a ton of these type of dramas i expect whatever is going to happen, i even predict something and it happens after 2-3 episodes, it's very sad for me because this is actually and enjoyable drama and can really be above at least 10 many-episode-dramas i can think of briefly. So as i said nothing too extreme, no big surprise in the plot, pretty much the same tropes/cliches used in many other dramas but when something works you can absolutely copy it if you execute it well and it will still provide profit. I wish i at least had watched it early in my asian drama watching era so i could enjoy it as much as it can be enjoyed. It's really good. You'll find flaws, unbearable characters, and event/evil schemes that will make your blood boil but all these are to be expected and you can't really ask for perfect plots and perfect acting from this type of dramas. A very solid 8/10 compared to other family dramas really. Good job.
ok you need A LOT of skips to bear through this. it's unwatchable, 90% of the characters are written by 15 year…
it gets KINDA better and smoother from episode 57 and after, but you shouldn't waste all these hours in order to wait for a mediocre at best last 15 eps. Also for more than 10 episodes in a row nothing really happens and there is zero character development FOR ANY character whatsoever, at least before that we had multiple toxic characters planning evil stuff or at least we have 2-3 love triangles and so on, suddenly everything became smooth and for the next 10+ episodes we had nothing at all. IF it wasn't written by such amateurs and was at least 20 episodes shorter it could score around 7/10 but now it's way lower.
it's extremely bad.like writing a play for 10 year olds.i feel bad for the actors involved
ok you need A LOT of skips to bear through this. it's unwatchable, 90% of the characters are written by 15 year old girls AND the plot is truly uninteresting. Also all of these characters are super toxic and act like children, and it seems no one in this takes their real life/job seriously.
i liked it a lot.It is indeed a romcom.I like how there is not a SUPER evil antagonistic character that schemes…
also they kinda rushed the last episode , we could have a decent closure for all side couples and characters if they managed the time a bit more proportionately for episode 15 and 16.
i liked it a lot. It is indeed a romcom. I like how there is not a SUPER evil antagonistic character that schemes and plans against Lead Couple since episode 1 like most romance dramas. I wouldn't say there is extreme chemistry between most characters, the LGBTwhatever element is well represented which is fresh for a korean drama, as many comments said they could have given a bit more screentime in the side couple stories but it's still fine. It's so easy to watch and pleasant vibe overall that it gets an 8/10
i just don't understand how they call themselves writers but leave so many things unresolved. The principle when you open a plot arc or a third character development is not only to use is as an event generating thing(like obstacles , or love rivals etc) but to have a complete or at least vague-ended development. HENCE THE WORD ARC. Here we have many different 'evil' and scheming sides that are not properly addressed in the end. Do you think the main love story is enough to cover all that? Even if you have the 2 best actors with the best chemistry ever it's not enough when around 80% of the rest of the cast goes unpunished or their whereabouts/fate is not even hinted. Did they skip the country? Did they die? Did they go to jail? Usually one main bad character is enough to make him the focus and show us 'hey viewers here, the SML and his ultimate scheme finally blew up and everything is fine now'. When you have so many different evil characters a mere happy ending for the couple and some sort of punishment for the main antagonist is not enough. The drama wasn't bad overall don't get me wrong. After having watched a ton of dramas though, with more interesting approaches or better love story, or better business aspect and evil scheming, it's hard not to judge everything under the same scope. It's a had 7.5/10, maybe 8 if you are a fan or became one, of some Lead actor. It could have been more proportionately written and handled better in the final 3 episodes and scored a bit more on the ranking. It's fine, not a drama i would recommend to someone JUST getting introduced to Kdramaland, there are way more interesting and better ones to start at. And even though i said it's not bad , i wouldn't leave such an extensive comment if it wasn't for such an overexaggerated rating here in MDL. I could also comment on clothing department who had an initial idea and stuck with it, with literally no evolution or devolution, there are characters going from rags to riches, people that act rich but are uncultured etc, and they are just defaultly dressed, it's adequate. Music department was meh. No addition to any emotion in the scenes where music was used, at least it wasn't a distraction and it didn't ruin the scenes.
Decent idea, above mediocre execution, adequate writing but JUST adequate, and overrated. That's the verdict.
first saw her in Canola which i watched because of Kim Go Eun, and her performance was soooo good. Then i realised i've seen some dramas she was in and then started paying more attention. She really does deserve whatever she has achieved. And i randomly found out that she also got an oscar recently! I mean it's been around 15 years since the Oscars were actually given to the best in each category and they have been ruined by just being a political platform as most things nowadays but still it's a huge achievement.
ok at episode 90 now and nothing much has changed from my comment above, in other news most of the characters…
omg. i'm spot on in almost anything i predicted would happen, but how could i miss the cancer? Wow, the writers are really scraping the bottom of the cliche/random events barrel to drag it to 124 eps.. i think 6.5/10 is the max it can be, it can only go lower from here on.
seeing it objectively as a tv drama, it's unique, fresh, interesting etc etc.But you are one of the people that…
that's the dangers of not finishing stories when they should be finished. That's also one of the strongest Asian drama aspects, that they don't make extra seasons just for the sake of it and to drain money from ads and viewers. There are literal masterpieces that had 16 episodes and that's it. When everyone would beg for more writers didn't want to ruin the integrity, they wanted to tell a story and they did. Unlike American tv series where 5 seasons are an average for most dramas(not counting sitcoms). Following a webtoon for so long feels like people readings mangas and stuff. Definitely not my cup of tea.
As someone who read the webtoon and know all of the story, I was dis pointed. The series is exactly like webtoon!…
seeing it objectively as a tv drama, it's unique, fresh, interesting etc etc. But you are one of the people that claim 'tHe BoOk wAs BettEr' when a movie is released. Get over yourself try not being the most unfun you can be.
mediocre enough to play the hateful roles needed, untalented and uncharismatic enough to make you like her acting in order to feel sorry for her when the writers need you to hate her character. Thank god there are actresses like her at her age and not only the 'great' ones because still someone has to play the trash roles.
from what i see from the activity of the comments here and on the websites that you can watch it at, this drama seems to have lost a lot of viewers and rightfully so. Also the rating should keep on dropping and stabilize at around 7.2-7.3 out of 10. Compared to other 100-episode dramas this rating is deserved. The writers handled everything very bad, had an early crescendo as i mentioned in a previous comment and now they have a few episodes to try and fit the whole disaster> to ruined family>to misunderstanding of FL's 'family'>to punishment>to crazy last hope evil scheme from the Stepmother> to again punishment> to getting back together as Lead couple. So the screentime now is very disproportionate. Also the dead guy's mother is a terribly written character from start to finish. Imagine how bad a job they did writing her in order to be the most hated character in a drama where there are literally people who killed others and tried to kill again. Good casting on her character though because the actress has a naturally hateful and unfriendly face and manner, there are other actresses in her age that you couldn't hate AS MUCH if they played the same character. For example the evil Stepmother has played similar roles and you just couldn't hate her some much because her crying scenes were not annoying and had actual emotions UNLIKE the actress that plays the dead guy's mom here. It's a hard 6.5/10 for me i would legitimately rate it 7/10 if it was 100 episodes long. There is no reason to drag things so much especially when you clearly don't know how to do it as writers.
I rated it at 8.0, but after sixteen episodes, I dropped the rating to 7.0. The drama is short, but it could have…
i will tell u what will happen, as u said the mother issue, also i think the other mother(Tong yi's mom) will waste some screentime still opposing her relationship with the ML's assistant, and then Tong yi crying etc, also since they had to 'comeback' as a group the evil SFL will put up some scheme to either harm or humiliate FL in stage at their comeback, or with some crazy rumor again. Then FL's reputation will seem like it's ruined once again, all that meanwhile her relationship with the ML is weird because of the threat HIS mother will make to the FL, and then in the end, maybe last 10 minutes , the ML will once again save FL's reputation and ask her to marry him (also about a minute of screentime inbetween that the Assistant with FL's bestfriend will be back together). I've watched tons of dramas, and sadly i've watched A LOT of these short uninteresting bland ones too. Zero originality in plot, zero uniqueness in the secondary events(meaning the obstacles that aim to slow Lead Couple's love story) and super predictable episodes and ending. I'm thinking of dropping the rating to 6/10 to be honest. Thank god it will be finished by the end of this week so i can erase this 'chore' from my watchlist. By the way none of the actors involved have any charisma in order to add anything to the whole value of this drama. I wouldn't say they are bad, they are just generic and forgettable. Also how short the drama is in episode-time and how fast it got aired and ended is acting as an advantage in my ratings. I mean if it was a ~35minute episode drama with 24 episodes (and trust me if chinese writers want to waste time and make things draggy they ABSOLUTELY can) i would rate it even lower.
Love love how beautiful she looked in the last segment of the finale. She literally took a load off from taking…
by the way Roh Yoon Seo (the daughter) is a model/actress. i think she will have a good future if she keeps picking good tv projects. She is 22 years old Imagine she played the teen pregnancy role in Our Blues which is quite controversial and even though its just a character , the actual actors get hate from netizens, and she did a good job back then too!

i hope she stays as healthy as possible and spends nice time with her loved ones!
Hopefully she has no offsprings or her offsprings don't reproduce.
