very good, heartwarming, the evil characters do not overtake the rest of the characters and the drama in general. The romance is grown-up and soothing, very real and well written. I like how supportive ML is of the FL in the final few episodes.
As for FL's brother, talking about the actor now, Oh Eui Shik, he has played characters with mental disability/retardation before and he really does a very good job at it, it was a good casting choice, his combination of gazes while stuttering is really on point.
The whole 'i am sacrificing everything for my kid, including my lovelife' while not being a complete doormat to others is really well portrayed in FL's character. Shows you can be fragile but not weak.
Generally a well done job by all, clothing department had something in mind and stuck with it throughout the whole drama. At least they were consistent. Music is added in some scenes it doesn't really add to the emotion but it is not distracting or unfit either.
i'd say it's a solid 8.5/10 and one of the few times kisskh rating is pretty accurate, especially for a current drama.

Also the acting is very bland and just adequate , any generic face would have produced the same results.
At some point it becomes kinda draggy with filler episodes.
It's a hard 7.5/10.

Still almost all characters are pure pricks, it doesn't get under your skin though because before you become invested this drama ends. THANK god.
The rating here in mydramalist is ridiculously high. 6.5/10 suits it way better.

obviously the whole premise and the mystery/revenge of it is exciting and writers got kind of carried away.
It's good, acting is fine, shots and settings are good.
At some point it got too fast and then had to become a bit draggy again for 2 episodes around ep13.
Also for someone who was 'preparing' for 3 years to get his revenge, ML seems to be extremely NOT ready, and how was he oblivious that the SML evil guy was behind EVERYTHING just bugs me, he is literally tied to all the things both bad and suspicious that happen around ML and FL.
Anyway it does have some weird inaccuracies but it won't really throw you off.
Could have been a masterpiece if executed a bit better in a total of 12 episodes.
It's still very good don't get me wrong. like an 8/10 maybe 8.5/10.
one of the few instances where kisskh rating seems to correspond to reality, but then again i think it is because this drama didn't make a bang and go viral back when it was airing, i mean in the same level as Crash Landing and dramas like those.
Then again if snowdrop has the rating it does , this is an 11/10 :D
I'd recommend you watch it if you are in your Mystery/Revenge genre period.

coming back now that it's been 105 episodes out of 124, as i expected they are dragging things A LOT. last 7 episodes could have easily been condensed into 1 maybe 2(with all the crying) episodes.
As expected it also became clear that the cancerous SFL almost ruined the lives of about 4 different characters and it just went away by a couple of inactive episodes and then suddenly she left everything in the past and moved on and we should just continue to watch her like the writers are not telling us we are stupid in our own faces? yikes.
Anyway the way it is projected and since most if not all main characters know the truth, 20 episodes are still a lot for the end of story to unfold.

Lastly , as a realistic take even though they don't exist in dramaland, no matter how good of a person , how hot, how important for her daughter, how rich, etc etc etc the ML is , what has been done by his family is enough for FL to never even want him to live in the same country as her, let alone get back together and married, but of course the happy ending is going to come in the end, mayyybe the evil Step-mother will get punished or just vanish , leaving an anticlimactic ending, the 'brother' of ML will likely be forgiven my FL and end up dating or at least having very intimate yet friendly relationship with the evil SFL, the family of FL will oppose the wedding when they learn the truth and will only rekindle at the last minute in the actual wedding ceremony, and then we'll have a 3-6 minute compilation of small 'happy ending' scenes, the twins being born, generally most character's lives settling down after the big shock(if during the revelation none of the two 'OLD' grandpa and grandma die), and maybe we'll have a couple of years time skip where FL and ML will be with the daughter and find out they're pregnant. (yay.)

I'd say since i've seen tons of these 100+episode dramas and tons of shorter ones nothing will ever surprise me so i'll be as critical as possible when comparing it to others. Honestly it can't go above 6.5 mayyyybe streched to 7/10 , realistically. I'll come to reply this comment when it ends and when most certainly at least 80% of the things i said above will have happened.

that's true, it's just incredibly boring and having watched as many dramas as me i pretty much know how the story will unfold, so if there is nothing even remotely interesting to keep me watching it's literally like rewatching a mix of old dramas.
anyway i wouldn't recommend this drama to anyone.

truly bad writing. why even try to portray FL as a badass or a girl that can handle stuff early on, if you are going to make her such a Doormat and literally zero self-esteem character later on.
ML is one of the most childish self absorbed characters in dramaland and she always runs back to him acting as if she should even be grateful he 'accepts' her . Y I K E S

oh also that little snot calling FL mother and the people around that little brat half guilt tripping her into not 'leaving' it so she is forced to spend time with the most boring ML ever is one more sign of how bad writers want to use cliches but don't have the skill to.
nahh dropping it after episode 28. it's just pathetic on and on and hella boring.

when you've watched as many dramas as me a few things happen.
First off from the first couple of episodes maybe first 7 episodes for the longer dramas, i already figure out everything that is going to happen from start to finish.
This endless repetition of tropes/cliches/plots makes things really boring if the dramas have no interesting aspects or some surprise to offer.
Romantic or romantic-adjacent genre is very congested both in actors and in plots.
Also when there is literally staring or music with random scenery/skylines or whatever, there is zero point of watching(especially if the drama has already started being boring). Also one of the overused things in this genre is the flashbacks and even worse the REPEATED flashbacks of the same exact scene just in different episodes. I know that reminiscing a memory, trying to remember some detail, or 'reliving' a trauma, are different emotional states and are supposed to add something to the suspense but you can use the same EXACT flashback for all of those and even more situations. So with one 30-70 second clip you can occupy minutes of screentime in many different episodes just under a different feeling. Big whoop.
So yes, having watched pretty much all the romance dramas (at least the ones that matter and are 'supposed' to be good according to rating) i can expect whatever is going to happen, even predict it. So if the rest of the drama , meaning the setting, environment, secondary and less important characters, and overall appearance of both the actors and the vibe is MEH, then i don't see a reason to waste any more time than what is NEEDED to complete it.

i would add that secondary characters are not interesting enough but you barely even realize that there are other characters in this. That's how boring this thing is, it's draggy, nothing happens for 5-7 episodes in a row at a time, there is no real development for hours and then ML just does something douchey again and we're on.
FL is a complete doormat and has no self-esteem even though early on the writers wanted to portray her as the kind of bad-ass female doctor that's cool and whatnot.
It's just poorly written and all over the place. The casting is mediocre too but it wouldn't matter much if there were some interesting events.

what is this new trend of having MLs with the blandest face and zero emotional grimaces or even attempts to act.
Also writing the ML character to be a prick works only if there is chemistry OR if the ML actor is peculiar/hot OR the reasoning for being cold is interesting/shocking.
Already watching at 1.25x speed and few fast forwards to make it tolerable.

it's terrible. it's insulting how naive and stupid the writers think the viewers are.
No chemistry, no real rivalry, the late ML rivalry comes out of nowhere and from a character we've seen 3-4 times in ~20 episodes, there is zero character development for most of them, for sure no development of general port (not meaning the 'romance'). This is a true waste of time.
ML's uncles that we thought were gonna be the enemies for the typical Company politics feud showed up in episode 1 and then around 20 or smth. It really is as if you've fed a bot the script of ANY decent romance/office drama with poor/rural girl and cold CEO and programmed that bot to paraphrase it poorly.

i've watched a few dramas since then and can't really remember.
I can say for sure that FL's parents treat her like trash(her sister too), and that when the revelation of ML's actual identity is revealed there is a misunderstanding between the Lead Couple but i don't think it lasts long.
Also until the mutual interest of Lead Couple is revealed to one another, we have very draggy parts in the previous episodes.
As i said, 1.25 speed, fast forward any flashback after episode 5 because they are all the same flashbacks pretty much and you will save a lot of time. Could've easily been 16 episodes and NOTHING would have been skipped.

after all that's been revealed now i know why such an untalented and unattractive person managed to get paid for 'acting'

ok at episode 90 now and nothing much has changed from my comment above, in other news most of the characters intertwined past has started to come back and haunt them.
I think the crescendo of this drama has JUST started but it seems that 30+ episode of it even though we know exactly what happened are too much. I swear to god if they throw an amnesia plot in this it won't even be worth 4/10. It already has MANY plot arcs going from many perspectives and they are definitely enough to Drag this to 124 episodes(i won't comment on if it's worth though since its already decided).
All in all i advise you to watch it sped up at 1.25x or 1.5x if you are good at reading subtitles fast, and skip A LOT of scenes. Only then it is watchable and with careful writing for the last 30 episodes even though the future really seems to be going downhill , but even with careful writing it would hardly be a 6.5/10.

seems like anyone can be an 'actor' these days if they just have a seat in the correct canes.
i hope she doesn't have any success in her life whatsoever.

i expect as much from the evil stepmother of ML and the mother in law of FL, but the SFL is pure cancer too.
From the number of episodes and the pace this drama is going i don't expect any revenge/punishment on the trashy characters not even in the last episode.
Poor writing in general, some actors and actresses are nice to look at and most of the elders are well played/portrayed so i'll keep watching for now. ( i'm around episode 35)

the ML is disgusting from start to finish , i don't understand how blind your fangirlism is to justify what he did for 100 episodes in a row.
There should never be a happy ending for him and the ones that conspired with him, FL and SML and the 'good' families are the only ones that deserve sympathy.
Yikes, it's like the writers are mocking us.
HAHAHAHAH just witnessed the ending. It's a complete joke, it's sad that the drama was successful just because people were curious enough to finish it, after having invested 100 hours on this trash of course you wouldn't drop it at episode 100/102.

a very poor job from the writers to try and have a redemption on SFL after all she did.
it's like they are making fun of the viewers after 100+ episodes of pure hate.

to add on that, we've seen many from rags to riches stories, also many plots where the lead character is a doormat and is being bullied by literally ALL the rest of the characters and we're just hoping for a savior or a lucky event to happen so the FL(usually) can hold on to something, and Mr Jang is just that, a very promising character and literal personification of HOPE. i hope this goes on like that and the extra misfortunes happen at least 10 episodes later.

on episode 7 so far. there are already too many disgusting characters in this but it is to be expected of dramas like these, BUT im here to talk about Mr. Jang.
So i don't know how things will go on(well i know i've seen tons of these dramas eventually FL and SFL will compete in the fashion industry and for ML's love, obviously), but MR JANG HAS BIG D*CK ENERGY. Managed to become an awesome character with just 3 scenes and 3 minutes of screentime. Taking a barely adult girl and a kid in, giving her a job and a place to stay, also donating to orphanages and that, what a guy!
