I'm still watching this drama, and I can honestly say that this drama is a case of good ideas with bad execution. Too much "tell not show". I'd say wait until it finished and then marathon it. Use the fast-forward button liberally if you have to ;)
I'm a simple woman. I saw that "Bow Then Kiss" gif, I immediately wanted to watch it.
Anyway, my favorite sports-related Jmovie must be Cheer, Cheer, Cheer. It's about a cheer group or oendan in Japanese--not to be confused with cheerleaders. Aragaki Yui and Nagayama Kento must be around twenty in that movie.
I'm guessing the problem here is less about the age gap itself, but the fact that he's still in junior high.
Personally, I'm pretty lax about dramas/movies/books about couples with large age gaps, or with one of the parties being minor, but even for someone like me, I admit that a work of fiction depicting a possible romance between a 14-year-old and a 25-year-old does make me very uncomfortable. After all, to rephrase lily_b's comment below me, there's a world of difference between 14 and 17/18--the usual age in dramas like this before.
Sorry to say but that plot line seems identical even from what is in episode 1.
That part with infidelity was from the SP, right? I didn't watch it, and I pretty much refuse to acknowledge that it exists :D. Who knows, they might choose to adapt just the main story and not incorporate THAT particular storyline. Or maybe that's just wishful thinking?
I'm looking forward to Matrimonial Chaos dan Kemono ni Narenai Watashitachi. I quite liked Saikou no Rikon and I rarely watch new adaptations of dramas I liked, but I'm giving Matrimonial Chaos a shot for the cast alone. As for Kemono ni Narenai Watashitachi, with those two actors in leading roles and its screenwriter (whose previous works I tended to like), there's no way I'm going to miss it.

Yeah, there's also the possibility that he was burned out from overwork and has been ill for some time even before he took the role in "Time". Not necessarily because he was employing method acting, IMO.
Still, I appreciate you for writing this article. Being too immersed in a role can really take a toll on an actor, and some viewers are not aware of it.

First time I watched Hana Yori Dango, I marathoned it twice in two days. I watched all of it at home and the next day, I watched it together with a group of friends after we finished studying. And what do you know, I actually spent the night at her place just so I could watched it to completion even though I had a copy of HYD at my own house.
Such was the magic of Hana Yori Dango (and all of its incarnation). I'm sure it had nothing to do with me just being a crazy, obsessed fangirl :p
I couldn't find good subs so i haven't started with this drama, will they get proper sub for this?
I'm pretty sure this drama is not translated directly from Korean, but from other language; from Chinese fansubs, I guess. Or maybe Vietnamese.
I've watched Japanese and Korean dramas with English subs not directly translated from their original language, and usually it's the popular ones that got good translation. Maybe the first episodes' subs were bad, but because there were a lot of people watching them, there's going to be a native speaker or just someone with good command of English that volunteered as editors to try to smooth out the translation.
Since this drama was not on many people's radar in the first place, and made even more unpopular because of the subtitles, I doubt we're going to get better subs unless one of the legal streaming sites pick it up.

People who complain about subtitles not coming out fast enough should be made to watch dramas with English subs translated from Chinese with Google Translate :D
