Man this drama has me laughing then all of a sudden I’m crying at what their family has gone through.
The loss of their son was horrible and the way the family came together to support each other was admirable, as most families that go through a loss don’t make it through to the other side but this family are beautiful. All family members blaming themselves for the loss when in reality it was an unfortunate accident.
The acting from the leads is exceptional, especially when holding and seeing their dead son it was some of the best acting I have seen to date also the scene was the ML had to register their sons death was horrifying to watch but both scenes had me pause and give them a standing ovation.
Love the scenes of them being middle aged / old as it shows how pure their love is and how their love has influenced their daughter to fall for a carbon copy of her father. A green flag military man (Yeong Beom). Really hope the foreshadowing of Myeongs (leads daughter) marriage is to Yeong Beom as he seems to love their daughter in the same way the ML loves the FL which is beautiful.
Loving the funny scenes mixed in. Aka then the middle aged ML heard that his daughter has been calling her boyfriend “as quiet as a mouse” and all of a sudden didn’t speak to him anymore.
The drama might be slow but it’s wonderful. From the acting, cinematography and OST it’s well put together and a relatively peaceful watch.
Hope to see more of Park Bo-Gum as 6-7 episodes of a 16 episode drama isn’t enough for a man of such quality.
If the ending of the drama has one of the leads dying of old age i wouldn’t really consider it a sad ending as they have lived their life with no regrets and have a beautiful family.
Maybe the narrator is the daughter of the leads ? Writing a book/novel of her parents life and maybe later on her life with Yeong Beom?
Love their chemistry and kissing scenes, feels like I’m watching a real couple fall in love it’s amazing.
The ML’s backstory just keeps getting sadder and sadder, his parents died protecting their son while on their way to an anime show. But the grandma thinks it’s her grandson fault for their death’s, although it couldn’t be helped once the white truck had confirmed that a loving family was still happy and breathing.
Her words and actions make me hate the grandmother but also thank her for making the FL realise chaebols don’t have it easy just because they have money (Props to the actress who plays the grandmother also). The FL hearing everything helped draw them closer and helped close the gap in between their social status and romantic status.
The seconds leads are amazing also, their chemistry is insane and their scenes are fun to watch.
The SML was respectful and charming and knew to respect boundaries when told by the SFL something made her uncomfortable, which is rare for men in dramas and in real life (on behalf of most men I’m sorry my gender is mainly dumbasses).
Their pairing it nice and is a highlight of the drama for me. Hope they stay together as they look smitten with one another.
The leads dating era was cute but guessing it’s ended now. Only 4 episodes left (shame it’s only 12 episode drama) so I’m guessing the next 2 will be them arguing and the second less mediating the two of them.
I understand both sides of the leads anger toward their younger selves but I have to side with the male lead.
Yes he lied but you have to remember during all of this his parents has died and at such a young age he is being told and taught how to run a company, with not time to be a “kid”.
He shouldn’t have lied but the FL cursing him to not fine love is cruel considering his background and how unloved he is now.
The ML assistant is also a weird one for me also. She seems to like the ML and also putty him. When he was being scolded for having a picture of his parents she seems genuinely sad that he wasn’t allowed to miss them but changed up when asked why she warned him about his grandmother arrival at his private residence. Confusing character but hope he has someone his assistant backing him.
If Potato Lab wants to give me a proper male/female friendship without a hint of romance I will happily take this…

Have a feeling they’ll be a couple soon considering the screen time they have together (alone I mean) and the beach scene where he gets the naked men away. Seems like jealously mixed with him being clueless.

1. The scientist ladies managed to dissolve the tattoo ink?? No clue if that’s possible. According to google AI eyebrow tattoos are reversible but over multiple sessions. But for a drama it would be boring to watch the FL have multiple sessions so it makes sense to have them going within a few episodes.
2. She isn’t that bad in my opinion she’s just headstrong but also somewhat rude about it. She has her moments but I guess her character development will be in episode 5 after the ML helper her.
3. Agreed she doesn’t seem the type to want him back just someone to support him which is rare to see in dramas. Maybe she’ll help the ML by making the FL jealous.
4. The Potato Gang are quite good and the idea of a potato unit with in a drama is unique to me so I love it.

6.The ML annoying to me just raised to be a robotic man who is decisive and calculating when it comes to work. The ex boyfriend actor would make me not watch the drama. He is the opposite of a domineering director.

8. Yes he’s a monk. From the looks of it he left years ago and never looked back and only see’s them when they come to him.
9. Could be half siblings or just other kids who are being raised by someone who we haven’t met yet. Honestly can’t answer that one. The two on screen siblings don’t seem to mind so they can’t be that important.
10. The brother is younger than the best friend so they probably see one another as siblings although they act like a couple. Looking forward to seeing their development.
11. It’s night time and the book is a raunchy book aha p**n so we can al do the math. And that book is her most prized possession she also works in her room too so it would be hard.
