This is where it's different with TTJ and LS. Essentially that timeline would be undone, and those that died would not have died at all. Whereas for SJ it's revival after death of the clan--not an erasure of the massacre itself.

IMO, MY isn't getting that their relationship can't go back. Sure the family can be, maybe revived, but it's not changing the fact that they were slaughtered. Plus it's not a given and will take 1000 years or probably his cultivation.

I agree. She could've said I will take the crystal and try to revive my clan as well as going for revenge. That's what she should have done.

However, MY made a deal for it and it's like that crystal is the repayment from TH and her tribe for their crimes. Plus, MY was telling her to calm down and just let go of revenge and focus on bringing back the clan--a maybe-chance that will take 1000 years.

Nevertheless, the transaction wasn't hers. She should've said, I didn't make that deal. You did. I'm taking the crystal and going about my revenge. She's not beholden to his 'godly' rules anyway. She should've told him to cultivate that crystal for 1000 years and revive her clan while she goes about her revenge.

That being said, there is a hint that TH had a plan to sabotage the crystal. I'm not sure, but it seemed like that.

Not only that, I think she had some plan to sabotage the revival using the crystal, and gave instructions to her tribe.

The dream isn't an alternate reality, it's something that happened. And JZ knew the dream was coming. Don't know what the difference is between being able to see into future, past, past-future--all of which JZ can do and alternate reality--which he said he can't see. Because JZ told her what she needed and even told her he's been waiting for her.

So because he can move through time---and this is the dream of a god so it too has some sense of time I guess--he has some/little bit of awareness, access within the dream.

The space-goddess too sort of was taken out of the dream, by feeling a connection with SS. Probably because either she is god of space, or because there are some some real aura which exist in the dream. Or else how could Ming Ye dream so deeply of others' perspectives enough for XL and YBS to experience SY and TH?

Unless they too are reincarnations of SY and TH. But then it goes back to: MY is not dead.

They are two sides of the same coin. Yin and Yang, Both exist and together. Ming Ye said the devil god is the embodiment of the demon essence within immortals, humans, demons, etc.

It can go either way. As said on the show, there is a thin/fine line between the two sides. MY can be a demon god as well if he lets his resentment and regret overtake him.

Devil-god is powerful because it exists in everything. And he is able to come back because neither his essence nor his demon bone are fully destroyed. TTJ was born with the bone, how this happened is not explained yet on the show--either he had taken a piece out much earlier and planned ahead. Or some piece of the bone escaped after the war that took out all the gods.

One wouldn't even need to know the novel for this to make sense. Because in the drama, it had been said that TTJ was born with the devil bone, and from his birth everyone was saying he was a demon and such things. So the audience could piece it together from information in drama alone why TTJ has same face as older devil-god.

When I read comments that he would take mask-off, I wondered how that happen because dream Ming Ye would have to react. But Ming Ye doesn't see him. It happened as he was forcefully pushed back and burning/disintegrating. It was just shown to the viewers.

To be honest, I think in a lot of xianxia they don't show all non-immortals i.e. demons as necessarily bad/evil. Which I actually appreciate.

Didn't the devil-god in episode 14 say to Ming Ye that he wants to destroy everything so he (devil-god) will go into nothing-ness. And Ming Ye asks if his followers know what they are fighting for, and that it's not for devil-god's reign.

This makes sense in that if everything is destroyed, and only if everything and all demons are destroyed could he go into nothingness.

I remember you had answered me earlier that devil-god was fated to die to give lands to demons, so he allowed SuSu to go back to see if he has a different fate.

But it seems (at least in the drama) that he would rather just destroy himself, because removing the bone means not allowing devil-god to form. (Although another entity would have to take its place eventually, but probably not this particular one.

The reason the face is the same as Tantai-Jin is because Tantai jin was born with the devil-bone within him. He was always meant to be devil-god. So devil-god is part of him from birth. So he would have same face as devil-god's previous itiration.

It is not in the future. This happened 10,000 years ago. It is mentioned in episode one that the devil-god was defeated and all the heavenly gods died 10,000 years ago. Plus later when they went into the dream, that the dragon's been asleep for 10,000 years.

That being said, many things will be tied to the future, both the original timeline and this future, which is current-500-year-past-timeline. And some of the beings are aware of future possibilities (imo, including devil-god).
