People seem to recognize Qi whenever plot needs them to comment on the leads as Qi-Qian couple, not not otherwise...Ex. Su's mother didn't realize when she met Han.
Is the romance even possible since he's a priest.... I haven't watched it yet, but will definitely watch it after…
So far there really isn't anything romantic per se. There were a few times FL got flustered when he was too close trying out sexy poses for the camera. Even the latest episode, it ends hinting going romantic but the previews show that it isn't as of yet.
I'm actually hoping it doesn't go to romance with Rembrary, because I would like him to retain his priestly stature. But don't know....
Interestingly, they also made sure to mention SQ wasn't with DQC when he killed his father. Implying DQC found…
Yes. It's something I think that's not mentioned enough. He was fair to his people. He may not have been fair and just to others (for instance Orchid saved him in the Vortex was he was still ready to kill her and was stopped by the Heart Spell, he wasn't planning on adhering to the neutrality of the Xilan Tribe.)
He wanted to conquer the three realms, but it's all due to his wanting to protect his people and tribe and keep them safe.
He also was never Evil. He even without the Heart Spell would have never stood for what was going on in Hooxi City where souls were captured and trapped by dark powers.
(I don't think Evil was one of the seven emotions that was expelled in the drama, but there is this concept of seven emotions to be conquered in some mythologies and along with love, fear, etc, evil is one of them.)
It is not really a mistake. It just wasn't clarified in the drama. When Old Moon Supreme's spirit asked how long…
Yes. I remember that it was Orchid who answered and not DFQC, which wouldn't make it a mistake. What I meant is that it's not really clarified. I'm not sure though if Orchid also used 30,000 to SQ when she was asking for what happened when DFQC killed his father. Again, I understand the characters are talking generally. And it would make sense perhaps if only one or two thousand years went by. It could be anything from few hundred years to a handful of thousand years.
But yeah, like you said, it's not a mistake. It's just something not specified and clarified in the drama.
One small issue I have is that they generally use 30,000 years for everything. DQC was trapped 30,000 years ago…
Interestingly, they also made sure to mention SQ wasn't with DQC when he killed his father. Implying DQC found him afterwards once his Love Tree was gone. While DQC didn't trust him fully and completely, he was still a fair enough master to SQ for him to be so loyal. Even early on after the Fairy Examination, DQC berates and threatens SQ for not keeping Orchid safe, but then says...never mind she's safe now.
One small issue I have is that they generally use 30,000 years for everything. DQC was trapped 30,000 years ago in the Great War. But they use that same number for when he killed his father, which...how? There needs to be some years for him to at least grow up, unless he grew up quickly because of his power. I can believe he captured everything in a short span of time, before he was defeated. But then that period of his rule is such a small period of time that the people remember.
Don't know what genre you're looking for, but I recently fully watched Hi Venus, a modern romance drama. The FL…
Yeah, Hi venus is a light drama, with good production. Obviously nothing as extensive as this, just a basic good production modern drama with no need for CGI, fight, etc.
Oh, one thing ML has heavier makeup/lipstick than the FL. If you can get past that it should be fine.
Actually, this is one of the few cdramas I have watched and the only one I have finished. Please suggest something…
Don't know what genre you're looking for, but I recently fully watched Hi Venus, a modern romance drama. The FL may seem a bit too harsh the first two episodes or so, but it is explained and then soon the tables turn, but in terms of light hearted pranks by the ML, not some harsh cruel revenge or what not.
I binged watched this in like 3 days. The credits intro alone is one of the most beautiful things I've seen.
Don't even know if I will find something like this again. Beautiful xianxia where it gives the story of the other realm rather than just show Heavenly realm as always the rightful winners.
In actuality fanbase wouldn't be speculating or believing that the two singers are dating, but would be just squeeing over the fan service skinship/bromance that was given to them.
Which, I guess is what happened, and the fan comments of them dating were in jest.
Fourth realm is Beast real, with puppy prince and man man. I think in this universe, there actually no real evil…
I also find it amusing that the Void's 'torture chamber' (forgot the exact name) is shown and feared, but the Heavens have their form of punishment too which is also harsh, but it's not shown to us. By description too it's not as visually harsh as it is in void, but like lightning strikes would extremely painful and leave scars. Difference is Void won't use medicine.
Ayyy. I'm loving this show. Hope it keeps up and doesn't make me drop it in between.
Not expecting this to be fulfilled, but I really hope there's no romance between Rembrary and Kim Dal. I am not opposed to her with Yeon Woo, and they can have romance when he comes back. But...dunno, wish Rembrary keeps his priestly behavior and stature even amongst all he has to go through and do.
I feel so bad for him, when he thought that QK didn't choose him, because CF was better then him in Gu Xi battle…
Yes. But, to be fair, she fell for CF after he kissed her. Even when he confessed his feelings for her, she was starting to tell him she's only seen him as someone nice protecting her.
He cheated and it wasn't a fair competition between him and Wudai. XD
They met when ML & FL stranded in the village. Both best friends rushed to pick them up and both had accident…
Yeah, that's where we saw them meet. But she recognized him when she saw him after the accident. Then afterwards, I think when he messaged she said something like 'you still don't remember me' or something like that. Am I the only one who caught that?
I am about five or so episodes behind. But I really do hope CF becomes the crown prince with QK as his queen, because somehow I don't like the fact that the Void and CF would have to lose outright, fully giving up ambitions to be recognized and respected.
If YT can go over to heavenly side with changes, shakeups. Then QK can do the opposite. If we go by the fact that YT was never a bad person from the start, she was well versed in Void history and admired and looked up to them. So either, she was morally incomprehensible till now, or nothing is ever black and white--each has their place in the world and their own rights and wrongs.
That being said, only reason QK and CF actually got together is because he was not only nice to her, but made moves on her when she was telling him that she even thinking of him like that, to which she responded positively.

I am a handful of episodes behind, but she was only scared of him at first. Afterwards she herself went to treat him when she how CF was hurting Wudai. They didn't show her doing it, but they showed the aftermath where Wudai took off the dressing she put on and tried to hurt himself more before CF came in.

Anyway, good watch so far,
