Title Hwang Jin Yi
I thought about writing a review, but Magiere already said it very well. This was a good drama with good acting and many very beautiful scenes (dancing, landscapes, costumes...) but the main focus was too often on other things than becoming the greatest gisaeng and the greatest artist. Personally, I could not "feel" the romance at all, with any of the love interests.

Is the romance good?
There is a lot of focus on the romance in this drama, but it depends on how you define "good romance". Personally, I am not a fan of the romance in this drama. It has a first love (when the FL is a teenager) and a more mature love when she is a bit older. In both cases I find that they just fall in love for no reason and it is not clear to me what she sees in them. I love many other things in this drama, but not the romance. Then again, someone else might disagree.

Yup, he’s so good in CLOY and I was like ain’t that Jin-heon? I’m so glad I saw him in CLOY, even though…
It's a good thing there are better dramas!

I guess I should be happy that I have forgotten most of the drama! *lol*

It was a long time since I watched it and I don't remember it in detail. What I do remember is that it was my first longer k-drama (the first was some 4 ep special) and I did not like it. The first reason was that I watched it because someone told me it was a drama about baking (I don't remember that they spent a lot of time in the kitchen making or eating cakes) and the other was the male lead, whom I disliked, and I suspect I would have agreed with you 100% if I could remember more. (When I watched CLOY I didn't even remember I had seen that guy before!)

Is this any good? Why can't I see any comments on this?
I have wondered about that too - why does it say ten comments but... it is only you and I now? Strange. Anyway I wanted to watch it but I couldn't find it with subs. It was on YouTube with Google translated subs (unwatchable for me...) but it looks like it has been taken down. I haven't found it anywhere.

I wonder if you still remember after watching it so long time ago... but i still wanna ask :DDid you find ending…
Hi! I'm glad you, too, enjoyed it! :) If I found the ending predictable.... hm, I have to disappoint you by admitting I don't remember. I guess I should remember something like the last game but no, all I remember is how much I liked watching the drama.

This is a very good drama so far (I just watched episode 13). I like the friendship, the grandfathers, the way they all care about each other.

Jane Eyre?! *lol* Reason enough to put this on my ptw, and with the female lead it's a must. :)

I see Kim Myung Min and "make him the No. 1 professor to avoid among the students, but there is something addictive about his strict teaching methods" and I already get my hopes up. He can never get this type of character wrong, right?! <3

Will I ever be able to get over this amazing drama? T_TI'm so sad to finish it T_T
You probably won't. :p I felt the same way when I watched it six years ago. Now I am rewatching it for the first time. It's the first drama I rewatch so that says something...

Review Good Bye, My Princess Spoiler
Applause to you for sharing an unpopular opinion amidst the countless of uncritical 10/10 reviews, that takes…
Thank you for commenting. I'm glad someone agrees with me! *lol* It's funny with dramas when they get so popular that it seems like a big deal to dislike it! Personally I get suspicions when something only has 10/10 reviews. Just like you I wanted to like this but I couldn't... I agree about everything you say.

I didn't consider the fact that the novel played a part in the drama's popularity, but you are probably right about that. If they already love the novel, why shouldn't they love a very pretty and long drama based on it! I doubt that I would have liked the novel though, because most things must have been at least similar.

Anyway... I've forgotten most of this drama by now except how I felt when I wrote the review. Thanks for letting me know that I'm not the only one.

Title Unkind Women
Underrated - what a gem! I loved it so much. The only thing I did not understand is the title. There were 8 women, but only one woman was unkind... I would say kindness is an important theme in this drama! The men too were really nice, calm and kind! (At least most of the time.)

Title Unkind Women
can any one answer me plzHOW it's genre is romance and there is no ML in it *_*
Because some of the female leads have a love interest. For example, the main character Hyunsuk has a husband who is not living with her when the story starts. Her daughter Mari has two guys trying to win her heart. Her sister Hyeonjeong is a career woman who finds love through work. The two older women of the drama were once (sort of) rivals for the same man. But this drama is mostly about friendship and finding your way if life, revenge and forgiveness; romance comes second.

Nice article! It's probably going to inspire people to try c-dramas! :) I have watched them for a few years already and my first ones were Sound of the Desert (I was amazed by how beautiful everything in that drama was - there's nothing like Chinese historicals!), Nirvana in Fire and The Disguiser. I watched the first one because of a recommendation and the other two because Hu Ge is in all three of them. :p I loved my first c-dramas, and since then I have watched many more good ones and also many that I didn't like. (For example, I'm very picky about xian xia and only rarely like them.)

I love c-dramas because they often have some heartwarming quality (it's a bit hard to put my finger on what it is exactly) that makes me want to live in the world of the drama and be friends with the characters. I generally prefer slice of life dramas with characters close to my own age (so, "older" characters) and well-made historical dramas. But I like the same kind of dramas regardless of country, so my advice for beginners is to find something that seems similar to your taste.
