I want to take a break from harem dramas for now, because it was a lot. however I will add it to my list, I plan to watch Yanxi and Ruyi too (I heard they are sort of like sequels ish)

It really did I genuinely felt terrible. Ngl I didn't hate the emperor, I thought I would but I really think he is a victim of the system he's been placed in. If I had all those concubines I'd probably be acting a fool too lol

What person do you follow when you watch cdramas? I only started watching in 2025 and found that I much prefer older dramas to the news one, like right now i'm watching Empresses in the Palace! I did enjoy The First Jasmine and that released like a month ago. Its a much "quieter" slow paced show though. What dramas are your fave. Have you heard of Sea of No return? It gives me goodbye my princess vibes

100% agree! Look what happened to the remake for Princess Agents as an example. I feel a drama like Goodbye My princess could never be made this year, it really was a product of its time. If it was remade it would have a lower budget, less episodes and a plastic feel to it

They would butcher a remake. Tbh I love the drama just the way it is. I know its not perfect, but its perfect to me, its one of the few dramas that made me feel genuinely emotional while watching,.
