Same i was waiting for this and Shui Long Yin! This is also a "zero to hero" story so you need time to set up characters and backstory

I know, most of the dramas that release now are always thrillers and gritty dramas , they are well made don't get me wrong, but its not something i would actually like to watch in my free time!

Check your messages btw!! Ive written some stuff about the new historical BL! But yeah basically I was watching two shows, The Buccaneers and Kill to Love and I'm finished with them both. Then i saw an announcement that Journey of Legend is dropping which I'm so excited about!! Im probably going to watch this drama first, i really want to like it so as long as its not blatantly terrible I think I will enjoy it. I also like the fact that there's no romance!! I'll deffo put Mysterious Lotus Casebook on my list, i've never watched a drama with Cheng Yi before so if i like it its possible i will watch it for sure!!

yes, I used to watch a lot of modern BLs back in like 2022, and the reason I stopped watching them was because I felt as if the plots were too thin, one of my favourites Cherry Magic, as much as I love it, is very surface level and cute, but not much else y'know? This is the first time I'm watching a BL with such devotion. The love between the two main leads is so layered and complex, coupled with the fact that they are literally monarchs of kingdoms, and the political strife, and the lies, and the long hair!! Like its actually insane. I had really low expectations starting this show because I didn't think Meet You at the Blossom was that good but after watching episode 8 I was truly blown away. Its one of those dramas that remind me why I love watching costume/historical dramas so much, you are going to get a PLOT. Its not just here are two men, they kiss, the end, its so much more than that

I think this is the best BL I've ever watched

Episode 8 was INCREDIBLE. It felt like i was watching a movie, the cinematography just went up a notch!!Its so beautiful!! If you're unsure about watching please give it a chance. It will really surprise you. My expectations were so low, I was not expecting such an exciting and riveting storyline, definitely going to rewatch this

It's very good, the first few episodes are a little slow but I thought the show hit its stride by episode 4
