This show is so above average....like you can tell the amount of effort that went into everything, like from the costumes, to the script, to the plot, to the acting, everyone did their bit and it shows

Okay to give like a vague review. The drama is very ambitious and I watched it while it was airing. The cinematography, costumes, CGI, fight choreography is absolutely top notch its a marvel to watch, its difficult to find dramas that come close. However the drama fails when it comes to its actual characters and the plot - it just wasn’t interesting. The only character that stood out to me was Tang Lici and the villain who was obsessed with him. I also wasnt a fan of how the narrative was laid out. So its a drama I greatly appreciated but not one I enjoyed. If you are a Luo Yunxi fan though its a must watch. He looks incredible in this drama and his acting is great, cant say the same about the other characters who all have the personality of a block of wood (apart from the villain)

Yes usually they rush the wedding and its like 30 seconds long. Or its an arranged marriage. The wedding for The rebel princess for example was heartbreaking. The first jasmine wedding didn’t go well either. It was refreshing to watch a wedding between them

Please watch empresses in the palace!!! The FL deffo keeps her power. But it is a journey to get there. A very satisfying show. You'll also love Empress Ki
