I’m watching A Man in a Veil right now and just finished Temptation of Wife which is EPIC makjang and got high…
Temptation of Wife is AMAZING! First part of the SBS Wife Trilogy: Temptation of Wife (incredible!), Two Wives (haven't watched, but the plot seems weird), and Wife Returns (no subs but it is AMAZING. Please go watch it, around Episode 30 is where the plot shifts and the FL changes. You'll love it!)
Vengeance of the Bride is great, I also recommend A Place In The Sun if you're into a man as the main character. Gracious Revenge, The Promise, Pink Lipstick, Glass Mask, A Bird That Doesn't Sing, Mysterious Personal Shopper, A Secret House, and Ice Adonis/Yellow Boots are all daily dramas that I liked as well.
Na Young-Hee is one of my favorite actresses. She's usually type-cast, but that didn't happen in CG. Miss Mermaid I can't find subtitles for (other than Kocowa for the first few episodes.) Do you like Gold Mask and A Man in a Veil?
Good observations! Yes, Even though i hated SeYoung for 90 plus episodes I finally agreed with her redemption.…
For sure! It wasn't too rushed like other dailies were, and like I said, she wasn't 100% good. Her redemption was breaking away from her mother's strings. I can personally relate to that. This daily was quite good, I liked it a lot. Hope Queen's House is even better.
This was a solid drama. I liked the ending. I actually didn't mind Se-Young's redemption. Was she a bad person? Yes. But there's complexity, too, when you realize she's basically been built into this person by her own mother. Manipulated, gaslit, and abused. And I believe that everyone deserves redemption somehow (to an extent.) And Witchy Myung-Ji got exactly what she deserved! Imprisoned and alone, with no one to save her. That's the best ending for her, other than dying. Yes, some parts weren't the best and it did drag on for a while (specifically with the Eun-Chong adoption plot. I'm sorry, but that was boring.) MOST of the actors were amazing, mainly Na Young-Hee (one of my favorites) and Ji Soo-Won. Han Groo surprised me here, I've never seen her before and she was quite great. Hana was also a way better FL than the ones in the last 2 dailies. Choi Sang was terrible. Period, no further elaboration. Kwon Do-Hyung, who I didn't even know at all, blew me away with his intensity as Goo Ji-Seok. Park Ri-Won was good as Yoon Se-Young, she was rough at first, but her acting improved. Yoon Sung-Ho could've been killed off, his character ultimately didn't hold much weight in the story. What I like about this drama is that all of the characters are morally gray (yes, they are, it doesn't matter what your POV is lol) and that the overall theme is that... family can be chosen. They can change. But they'll never leave you. That's beautiful to me. My rating? 8.5/10. A few things could've been changed in the drama, but it was great to watch. I'll miss the funny comments and wild opinions. See you all at The Queen's House, which looks very promising!
ugh i didn't like PYJ in Vengeance of the Bride. i have, however, no idea who the other leads are so i'll give…
Maybe he'll be better as a villain. Cuz I've never liked his acting. Seo Jun-Young was in The Promise, Ham Eun-Jung was in Let Me Introduce Her and Love Twist. Not sure about LGY.
Yes, it should have subtitles for almost all dramas.
If you're starting out on daily dramas, I recommend the basics: Temptation of Wife, The Promise, and Ice Adonis/Yellow Boots.
asiaflix has most, if not all of these dramas. Make sure to use Adblock.
