Not Jun-Ho marrying Hong-Ju, but him marrying "Seo-Rin" (aka Jang-Mi.) It'd really shock a lot of people... 🤔

I dropped this at episode 13? The pacing wasn't slow, it was FAST. A little too fast. Here's EXACTLY why I dropped it (for 6 reasons):

"The constant gag scenes are annoying and not funny.
The characters are written so basic to me that it feels like I'm watching a daily drama/makjang from 2008. It is 2026. Why is everyone here 1-dimensional? The only characters I like are Dan-Hee and Hyun-Jun (I think.)
The pacing is kinda bad? I don't mind fast pacing in dramas but I feel like it moved RIDICULOUSLY fast.
Several of the characters feel miscasted. Example: The driver. I never liked that actor anyway.
I HATE THE STUPID ACCENTS!!! And I can't stand how Jung-Ran talks!
If I wanted to watch a sitcom, I'd check out High Kick or a KBS1 family drama. Or rewatch My Father Is Strange. Not this shit. I was promised a dark and tragic revenge drama, not... whatever this is. I've been lied to. I am disappointed, and severely so." 😂

Then I take back most of my statement. It was an over-generalization and I apologize. I think I've always liked morally complex (whether grey or evil) FLs- but mainly, I like good, well-written female protagonists. Strong, intelligent, not afraid to stand up for themselves. I mean, even non k-dramas are having more morally grey, complex, and/or villainous FLs. Especially in dark dramas similar to Climax...

Joe!!!! Hi there... I like Jang-Mi and Baek-Ho's chemistry. Even if he is a bit of a simp. I just wish the revenge would progress more, I don't want this daily drama to trick me either! 😭 Which is why I don't mind a revenge marriage with Jun-Ho...

The FL has made no progress with her revenge, the characters suck and are flat & basic as a board, the acting is mostly bad, and the pacing is terrible. Also the comedic scenes ARE NOT funny, and I signed up for a dark revenge drama NOT WHATEVER THE FUCK THIS IS- okay... let me breathe... I can go on and on about how much I hate this, but I don't wanna ruin people's enjoyment so... yeah. 😁

I get that you hate the ML, but at least he's not getting in the way of Jang-Mi's revenge. And to be fair Jang-Mi hasn't been doing much either... she's not quite bright yet.

I think if I watch episode 4, my view might change! Sang-Ah seems to have a little more depth to her compared to Tae-Seop- in my honest opinion...

Empress Ki is a drama that I must watch someday! Hopefully the high praise I see it gets is worth my time!

As for Red Pearl, cut your losses and drop it, because based on the previews, it never gets better. Also I felt like I was duped, which is one of the main reasons why I dropped in the first place: the 1-dimensional characters, stupid & constant gag scenes, exaggerated accents, non-comedic comedy, the FL (Kim Dan-Hee) being a letdown, the pacing, a lot of the acting... it was too much for me. 😂

Honestly, I think both of them are doing an amazing job here. Again, Tae-Seop is the protagonist, so of course his performance would be highlighted here. This isn't to say that I disagree with you- male privilege is real- but as someone who only saw him in Five Fingers (I dislike him in this drama so bad, but it's the character... NOT the actor), the difference between his performance there and his performance here is wild. Personally I'm praising both of them, but MDL is so misogynistic so they naturally ass-kiss the man more than the woman. Sad!

Hong-Ju ain't even a real antagonist, neither is her bummy mother. This is much better than Red Pearl though... which I dropped for several reasons 😂

It's not. Episodes 3 and 4 clearly showed that, it has makjang aspects but it is NOT a makjang drama. So basically morally grey leads = makjang drama to y'all?? Lol okay...

The internet teaches us to never feed trolls, but SOME people on here (ahem) are ugly and miserable. Inside and out.

Are we watching the same drama??? Tae-Seop is literally the protagonist here. Go watch Made In Korea or Breaking Bad if you want a show that's all about "da boyz"! 🙄
