Its crazy how with the teasers I was looking forward to Jinju's storyline but now that the series started ? Watching…
I was looking forward to and tuned into Dan-Hee's storyline from the jump. Park Jin-Hee is a great actress and I remember seeing her in Giant a few years ago (or was it Hur Jun? One or the other lol) I knew Jin-Ju's storyline was gonna be basic as hell. BOR-INGGGG!!! Again, Gracious Revenge did better handling a dual protagonist structure. It seems like Dan-Hee is the true protagonist here.
Min-Jun is very boring, I agree. I definitely prefer Hyun-Jun right now. Jung-Ran is IRRITATING! Idk if that was intentional but props to KHJ for doing her thing anyway! 😂 The gag scenes are more distracting/jarring than genuinely hilarious- I'll say the only time I laughed was "the ghost scene" with Dan-Hee. (I think?) That landed well. Choi Jae-Sung played a villain in Left-Handed Wife, but it was a late-series role, I think. He's a pretty good actor and his portrayal of Park Tae-Ho is making me a fan of his lol
I like the plot and directing, but right now I'm not sure if I'll stick with this drama. Also, again: the characterization SUCKS!!! The only character who's remotely interesting is Dan-Hee! (But I like her assistant/bestie too.) All of the other characters are as complex as a piece of paper. Vengeance of the Bride wasn't like this either. Hopefully the writing improves.
PS: If you want a drama recommendation, watch Return! It's a crime/legal mystery-thriller. Murder mystery. (Idk why people call it a makjang, but yeah.) Park Jin-Hee played the recasted FL in this drama, who was originally played by Go Hyun-Jung.
Finally caught up with its pace. I wann dh to date gun ji without further delay. Jeong ran is slaying her character…
Maybe it's just me, but I don't like Jung-Ran's pronunciation/tone. Has Kim Hee-Jung ALWAYS sounded like this, or is this recent? Her voice is so grating! ðŸ˜
I feel like the pacing is extremely fast (maybe a little too fast.) Dan-Hee is the main character (one of 2),…
It's funny because I like Dan-Hee (Park Jin-Hee is a great veteran actress, after all), but everyone feels like stock characters. 💀 I think a Nan-Suk (MY GIRL!!!) here would work so well. It feels like they're trying to do that with Jung-Ran, but it's not working. It's WAY too over-the-top and really inconsistent tbh
Thank God Mi-Jung is dead, I could care less. 😂 But I guess this is how Nara gets tied into all of this and ends up working with Ja-Hye as a lawyer. Somehow, I don't believe In-Ho killed Mi-Jung!
I agree with your review, but I got the impression that now that HN is back he and JW can start their lives together.…
That's a good perspective! 🤔 Also, another viewer said that Chef Hong/Grandma said that SH and YC would thrive on their own away from their awful parents. Maybe that's why YC got away with everything? I don't mind open endings, I just wish more questions were answered. The writers introduced massive plot points only for them to never be addressed. This is definitely a good daily drama though.
Finally someone!!!! It's nothing like the previous dramas. It feels like usual mbc drama. Kbs lowkey fell here
Gracious Revenge did a better job handling an older & younger protagonist duo in my opinion. Acting is great though. Again, I just think the pacing is a bit too fast compared to most KBS2 daily dramas... usually they spend 20+ episodes on the past and this did not happen here at all. We'll be in 2025/26 by next Friday lol
She didn't even sound like this in Secrets and Lies!
They did! Also Yun-Jung and her brother make sense- they're siblings & have a sibling dynamic. Jung-Ran and the driver though... 💀
EXACTLY! Everyone feels so 1-dimensional except for Dan-Hee! Explain the low stakes though? 🤔
