Well, the most basic answer to your second question is the patriarchy which intentionally enforces conservative values. Men are born taught from birth to be emotionless protectors and providers. As a result, it impacts both men AND women, pushing men towards the political right while alienating most women, who tend to go politically left (or center.) This isn't unique to 1 country either- it's worldwide! Which is why it's good that feminism exists... contrary to certain beliefs, the core of feminism is simply equality between men and women. Which is what I believe in. Because men may be the providers, but women are the creators. 😁

I'm not Asian, no. I'm black (specifically West African/Ghanaian-American.... in the simplest way possible. Lol) But I do watch Asian content. Koreans, like most countries, tend to have dialects. I do NOT mind that- I have a heavy NY accent myself. The problem with this drama is that it's being exaggerated for comedic effect, and it makes me CRINGEEEEE 😭

Oh Jung-Ran played by Kim Hee-Jung, here? Man, all she does is screech like a banshee. Which is what most of the female characters here have been doing. Very grating to listen to eventually... as for High Kick, which one was considered "awful"? There's 3 parts lol
Nah, only the dad died, and the FL's twin sister got choked out by Jung-Ran. FL hasn't done shit for her revenge... my patience made me lose this one. Usually I watch most KBS2 dailies and abandon MBC ones, now it's the opposite here lol
