See why Dan-Hee is the real FL to me... maybe when Jin-Ju returns as Chloe Lee you'll like her... you can be so…
I don't lol, but this is nothing new in daily dramas at all. I feel like I've heard this a lot from you is all. Again, I love Dan-Hee more than Jin-Ju and Dan-Hee is the ONLY character I'm here for. I knew Jin-Ju was gonna go down the noble idiot/naive heroine route once I saw her show up. I don't like Jin-Ju OR Yuna. Or Yuna's family, for that matter...
Here comes the stupid jinju.. ppl like her enable the crimes. These ppl r worse than criminals coz these creatures…

It's the character. Kim Hee-Jung's character is supposed to be tacky and over-the-top. (She's a wonderful actress.)…
So far, First Man is good enough. I personally haven't watched a medical drama, but I've gotten into political/crime ones recently. I wanna expand my tastes more. Some Korean dramas are hit or miss for sure! But I do usually enjoy Korean daily dramas and I find them much better than American soaps. I like some telenovelas, and I've gotten into Filipino teleseryes too.

Fair. But most Korean soap operas have over-acting (sometimes intentional, sometimes not. Sometimes good, sometimes bad.) Also, I meant the comedic scenes weren't too funny to me, I think it's because I want a darker/more refined revenge drama, and the comedy is tonally... off? Like it feels out of place π I think I might stick with this drama for now, but I'm enjoying First Man more. The plot is good enough to keep me interested!
First time trying a 100-episode drama. I Thought I had to stick in until the younger generation but lord I am…
It's the character. Kim Hee-Jung's character is supposed to be tacky and over-the-top. (She's a wonderful actress.) The constant gag scenes are so unfunny and the younger generation's story is extremely cliche... I've seen it 30 times before lmao I'm only here for Park Jin-Hee (Kim Dan-Hee/fake Myung-Hee) right now.
iirc all the staff (PD, directors) all previously only worked for KBS1 and it shows. The gag scenes are so intolerable…
That... makes perfect sense, actually π again, I hate the gag scenes and I hope they're reduced or cut out entirely. I will literally drop this drama if it's not lol
Also here for Park Jin-Hee and the rest of the veterans. But mainly... Park Jin-Hee.
She doesnβt wann meet her stupid father. I dono y these desperate idiots r forcing her. Also canβt understand…
OMG!!!! Areum I said this EXACT same thing earlier! And I mentioned it in my review π HK's father literally abandoned her! (Also, I'm so glad you're finally watching this lol)
Min Jun seems to have no life to him. Like he is sleep walking through this so far.
To put it plainly a lot of the rookie/younger actors are not good. I'm neutral on Nam Sang-Ji because she has at least has experience in leading roles...
Ooooh, I gotta be honest. Like, brutally honest. π¬ It is NOT easy for me to watch this drama when I dislike/don't care about most of the characters. This is giving me KBS1 daily drama vibes. I don't have a problem with that... but I signed up for a revenge drama. Or perhaps my expectations were higher... the only character I'm fully invested in is Dan-Hee. The rest of the characters feel like archetypes for the most part. There's no complexity to them, they're just "x role" and that's it. Also, the gag scenes. The gag scenes, the gag scenes. They are not funny and are instead very, very annoying. And cringy, especially with the weird ass dialects/speech patterns, it drives me CRAZY! Why is almost every scene fucking comedic?! I feel misled. I hope the drama gets better soon because... if it doesn't, I'll drop it. I'm gonna give it till episode 25, because I like the plot and (most of) the actors.
It was nice to see Ban Hyo-Jung, one of my favorite elder actresses. I wonder if she's Dan-Hee & Myung-Hee's bio mom. And tomorrow's episode seems decent. I'm intrigued by the stock manipulation/embezzlement subplot! π

Heavy on the lack of characterization... I hope it improves lol
