I don't think you've watched a lot of daily dramas lol
Ah, only a year after me! I started watching daily dramas (k-dramas in general lol) in 2017. My first one was Unknown Woman. The thing is, JW's shift (from pure ambition to revenge) was bound to happen at any point. She couldn't stay the same forever, the storyline wasn't dropped and JW needed to progress as a character. At the core she's still a vicious, morally grey woman. She hasn't been softened, she's as fierce as she was when we first saw her. (Which I love.) Now as for the last sentence, I agree. This is why I like morally grey or villainous protagonists in daily dramas instead.
Thank you. Sorry for misconstruing your words and I understand your point. I just hope that this is a temporary shift in course, not permanent.
What's funny is that YC is technically the 3rd FL and causing all this drama. The main players here are obviously JW and HR. YC has some complexity to her too, with her nasty mother NS, but her awful deeds make it hard to truly care about her. But she has no story. She's annoying and boring. Regarding HN, I'd say that's understandable (and I honestly agree, his performance is fine, but it's hard to be invested in his character.) However, the writer just hasn't given him anything to do. He has a storyline (and it's stated early on), he wants revenge on NS. His (adoptive) mother. A lot of people are rooting for JW and SH, so I'm gonna remain hopeful for them. If the writer truly listens to everything the audience is saying as you say, there's hope for JW x SH.
Nan-Suk finally has some complexity. Her husband was a piece of trash! Glad he died. Also, that was a surprisingly good scene between her and Ha-Neul...
Guns aren't a common weapon in daily dramas but that's how "Mysterious Personal Shopper" ended with the…
He went into a coma (sadly.) So near death it is. Though there are dramas where guns were used to kill characters, Escape of the Seven is one I can think of.
the fl is so boring and clueless I love both seon Jae and kyung chae over Lucia and tae kyung
I hated Tae-Kyung from the get-go, the man is dead weight 💀 Seon-Jae annoyed me. I'd say the only one I was sorta interested in was Kyung-Chae, even if I hated her, she was still a semi-interesting character.
I just started the show and I already dislike the FL.
I mean... life WAS unfair to her 💀 her dad got framed and sent to prison, her mom's a deadbeat and now a powerful conglomerate vice chairwoman, her best friend disrespected her, screwed her over more than once, and even stole her designs, she got sexually harassed, she could never get a proper job... all of this was shown in the first few episodes.
One thing I do wish we saw more of her was how her dad's false imprisonment affected her, but this is more of the writer's fault, not the character's.

In Mysterious Personal Shopper, the 2nd FL (honestly, she's the protagonist to me lol) shot the villain husband with a rifle too. So it's been used before lol
To be fair, YC and HN aren't related by blood either. JW was committing identity fraud (pretending to be YC.) The real weird factor is JW and SH. They're step-siblings which is partially why JW is pushing for a divorce. Do you want JW and SH together or no? (Honestly, it can go either way for me.)
She never slept with HN though, lol she was just hugging him. If I'm being honest, if she doesn't end up with SH, I'd rather have her single instead...
However if she does sleep with HN, then yes, I agree.
Again, I'm glad I've dropped this, the FL is so incapable of doing anything. Should've just made Kyung-Chae the protagonist, she'd be so much more interesting than whatever Lucia is! 😂

If she were a sweetheart, people would've disliked her anyway... people hate nice FLs but also hate more complex/grey/villainous ones. No winning here, I guess.

Or... most daily dramas aren't original in the first place. At the end of the day, they're soap operas lol. Makjangs. Which all have similar tropes and plotlines, but people still tune in anyway. For the record, I don't think there will be a cheating storyline (it seems like manipulation thanks to NS and YC), and I find YC to be a very boring and bland character. I saw SH trying to hold onto his wife (now step-sister... this is the part that makes me a *little* uncomfortable) and JW pushing him away because of guilt. I get that you hate HN (I don't like him either, if he becomes darker MAYBE I could be bothered to even watch his scenes lmao), but like also... let's be fr. 😂 I highly doubt the writer is on MDL reading every comment that shows up. If that were the case, the plot would be wildly different. Daily dramas are usually filmed weeks/months in advance.
My guess: considering how the two MLs and the 3rd FL (Hongju, I'm guessing she's the 3rd FL since Oh Hyunkyung…
Ooooh, that's an interesting theory! Very little is known about Seo-Rin, yes. Seo-Rin seems like the more ruthless twin. So I can see that happening. But the summary though... it can go either way, really...
You're welcome! I haven't watched it, but Ha Hee-Ra plays the FL in that drama. So have fun!
