The FL is very much evil here. Lol people say they want better FLs and they're tired of good ones, then when it…
Black and white thinking? Dude, what are you on about? I said I like villain FLs. I've said it many, many, MANY times. I like FLs/female protagonists to be complex, strong, vulnerable yet fierce. I like them when they screw up. I also like them when they grow and change, and I like when they turn evil because the world breaks them. I like a good character corruption arc. I like anti-heroes. I like morally grey people who are all messy and complex somehow. Not every FL needs to be a goody two-shoes or a naive, stupid heroine who's a doormat for 90% of the drama. Cha Jung-Won is a bully, but I like that BECAUSE we don't see FLs like that in MOST k-dramas.
"So stop claiming that not liking this FL is a sign that there are no other FLs that are likeable" - When did I say this?? Why are you twisting my words, man? ðŸ˜
It's been established that JW is selfish. SO IS YOUNG-CHAE, and everyone else on this damn show.
The show is not about self-improvement at all... radically different genre. Watch a KBS1 daily for that.
There are many FLs I liked that started off as good, too. Like the FLs in The Promise, Yellow Boots, The Second Husband (she had a tendency to be reckless, but she fought and stood up for herself), Miss Monte-Cristo, and Left-Handed Wife. I LOVED the female characters in My Father Is Strange.
YOU need to stop because I wasn't arguing with you (or here in general), and I. DON'T. WANT TO. *PERIOD.* I have better things to do, anyway.
You know, we are saying this FL is different than the usual, but she is not... She is rash, irrational, damsel…
Well JW's definitely more cunning than most FLs in daily dramas... I told you she'd become more evil. I think the writing's on the wall here with her being a villainess. She got screwed over by YC (who deserves EVERYTHING that's happened to her- excluding her ex trying to kill her, of course), her mother abandoned her as a kid to marry a rich man (even if HR was gonna come back, she DID leave JW/SA), she lost her step-sister (whenever the real JW died), her dad was framed for murder (the most ironic part is that *YC* is a murderer's daughter, NOT Jung-Won), and she suffered because of that stigma. She IS a victim, or did you miss something? She is just a victim-turned-villain, this is a thing in a lot of shows.
We're following a villain here, not a heroine. You dislike heroine/good FLs, then also dislike more complex FLs... you said you wanted more realistic FLs, so I'm confused. Also, her father only told her that HR abandoned her because that's what HE thought. This whole situation could be fixed with an honest conversation-
BUT I like the chaotic aspect of JW's revenge... when she realizes that it was all a misunderstanding, will she spiral further into darkness (past the point of no return) or try to forgive HR? Really makes you think. Everyone's morally grey here, in a world full of lies...
To start off, that trash can at the Jin mansion (also a great-looking house, btw) looks INSANELY fancy. 😂 But here are some of my honest thoughts...
JW is VICIOUS. She is ruthless. She is a villain no matter how you spin it and I fucking love her and I will root for her! She's all about business. Instant lock in, nobody's distracting her from her goals. Love that. Second, this whole YC thing coulda been solved if she... literally just went abroad and lived as Victoria Shin? Why does she *NEED* to be JW? 😠It's interesting that the 2nd FL is the "heroine" while the main FL is the "villain", though. Hilarious, yet deserved lol. Third, as much as I love NS... I genuinely feel like there NEEDS to be more depth to her, instead of her being "evil greedy villainous mom". LSY is an incredible actress, she has the range to pull it off! I cannot stand 1-dimensional characters, especially female ones. IT'S 2025!!!
Four: Mi-Hyang's voice irritates me. I don't know how to describe it. 💀 I think it's the accent, but... UGH! She just sounds annoying, it's hard for me to watch her scenes aside from the fact that I dislike the character in general! (The actress is doing really good, though.) Five, I hate Min-Gu but I really am curious as to what happened to him. I need him to stay gone, though. Six, YC, this is **YOUR FAULT!!!!** Why are you in your feelings about the mess YOU created? Like JW said, your arrogance is making you pay the price for what you've done. I hope she continues to ruin your life even MORE. Seven, I love the chef. He's really creepy, but somehow cool at the same time. And I... am not a fan of HN, sorry. Maybe I have second lead syndrome here, but right now I prefer SH over him- massively.
I still think KB will die, but I'm wondering if HR will turn evil at some point? Also, the BGM for this drama is INCREDIBLE! What is the music director cooking in the studio?! Bulgogi?! Give me some of that right NOW!
The drama's really picked up in the past week, maybe because I've gotten into it again... but I'm here for the long ride. The thrills, the twists, the turns. I can't wait to see what else happens next!

Ah, shoot. I missed that. Well, Jung-Won is about to be Chairman Two-Face's worst nightmare... final boss, here we go!
Now I definitely think he was behind the real JW's death!
